This is a great car! I was so sorry that they stopped making them. We had no complaints about our Grand Marquis! It could carry our kids and grandparents. It was roomy, comfortable, and reliable. We liked it so much, we bought two!

Bought this used in 2022, 145k miles. It is without a doubt the most quiet and comfortable ride I’ve ever had! Steady oil changes (and some good luck 🙏🏻) and hopefully this beauty will last me to 200k miles and beyond. If you can find one in good shape, grab it!

I got this car from my Mom in Oct 2019 not too long after my Dad passed. Even though it was older it only had 118000 original km on it. It was not winter driven for 14 years he had it. Originally it was an RCMP police package with the handling package but had nice carpets and velour power seats. Great 4.6 litre which is legendary and reliable and decent on gas for size. All electronics work great. Air suspension is great. The ride is fantastic. I had to do some repairs in first year mostly all front end...ball joints tie rods, idler arm and front shocks. It may have only needed 2 lower ball joint and one tie rod but I wanted it perfect and used top quality parts. It is now perfect for the past 2 plus years. Corners great, handles great and rear air suspension is very nice. I did have to do a high quality trans rebuild as I had a minor slip in lower gear, but it has been perfect for past 2 years. This car is rust checked yearly and only has 156000 original km. It is a great car. They resale for next to nothing so you have room to do some initial repairs like brakes and front end. Tranny issues are really not common. So if you find one with no rust, and decent mileage u will have a great car for many years. Tip get the one with heavy duty handling package and even though you dont have to put premium gas in it put it in periodically(u will get better mileage and performance is better. If you are in winter climate, its a must to rust check and run good winter tires. Michilen or Good year Eagles are best in summer. Great car! They made them up to 2011 I think. Same as Crown Victoria. The Grand Marquis from the 80s had terrible suspension and were to swishy and soft. Its a mans car..so many police and taxi drivers loved these cars. These are great CARS THAT GO DIRT CHEAP.

Declining American Original

After having my offer turned down on a '98 Cadillac Deville d'Elegance, I setteled for this 2000 Grand Marquis LS. This car is loaded with most all options available: dual power seats, dark, charcoal leather, 6-CD changer in the trunk, aluminum wheels, climate controlled a/c, etc... I read in Edmunds.com that a loaded-up Grand Marquis is as good as a Lincoln Town Car, but for many thousands less. I agree!
