Unbeatable Deal on Speed3 Sport

2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 Sport 4dr Hatchback (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 6M)

I was looking for an inexpensive, well- built car that would be fun to drive and get reasonable fuel economy and I found it! I have friends w/VW (too many build quality issues), WRX (dealers are too proud & I can't figure out why), & why waste my time on a Civic Si with ~200 horses? This car is a comfortable every day driver. The Dunlops are a little loud on certain road surfaces (rough asphalt) but the car grips the road better than any of the other cars mentioned above. It performs when you want it to and is well behaved during all driving conditions (wet/dry). The turbo has no lag & when you're on the highway & you want to pass, you don't have to downshift...let the turbo work! Paid 22K!

Traded a 2007 for 2010

Just traded my 2007 Mazdaspeed3 for a new 2010 Speed 3. Only have 100 miles, so more on the handling and performance later. But initial impressions are all positive. Quick comments: 2007-09 versus 2010: Facts: Gone are the HID headlights and LED tail lights. Temp gauge is gone BUT now has a turbo boost gauge. I like that trade, but both would be better. Standard stereo is only a single CD changer not 6-disc Rear cargo liner from 07 fits perfect in the 2010. Winter mats from 07 fit fine in rear and OK in the front. Some gaps in front. 16” winter wheels and tires from my 07 fit on the 2010. Lug pattern, and hub diameter are the same. Still no heated mirrors.

The best Mazdaspeed 3 built to date!

Got the Celestial Mica Blue w/ tech package. Tech package is totally worth it... push button start, bluetooth, Bose system, navi, and Sirius for 6 months. The color is exotic! The new body style is incredible. Curvier lines, RX8 type wheels, lower appearing stance, functional hood scoop, and dual exhaust make this the best MS3 ever built to date. And the inside is super contemporary and high quality. No torque steer and super clean shifts. Honestly, the best bang for your buck. GTIs, Civic Si's, even the WRXs and EVOs truly can't compare w/ the overall build quality (interior/exterior) and the "best bang for your buck" factor that the MS3 offers.

Best hot hatch value

I just got my 2010 MazdaSpeed3. It is silver with the tech package. The engine is the same as the last MS3, but revamped tuning and a new driveline have contributed to making this car much easier to drive, and lots more fun. The brakes are even better than the last car, and I have been unable to unsettle the chassis in spirited street driving. Body roll is minimal, and they have somehow managed to almost eliminate understeer.

Unexpected Value and Fun

After tax and fees base sport approaching 26K but worth every penny. Ride is very stiff, noisy especially in the back seat, bumps at highway speeds are worrisome. Easy to overlook these faults because of the handling, connected feel and sheer fun. Shifter is surprisingly good although I read mixed reviews. The exterior design is subjective but I've gotten no complaints. The interior is well laid out and pleasing to the eye. There are subtle blue LEDs at night that are always on inside. The overall package just works and it's becoming one of my favorite rides.
