Greetings!, I was here before, Reviewing my 2016 CX5 Touring, I have since traded it in for a 2017 CX5 Grand Touring W/premium package W/AWD.(my '16 had 65000 miles, the '17 had 23000 miles) The difference is like night and day, this car is even more fun to drive, if possible than my last one! Very nimble, and much smoother than the '16 (I am keeping in mind that the '17 is a higher trim than the '16) And I can't tell why sites like Edmonds, and others bash the CX5's acceleration, this ride gets to 60 in a hurry and sounds good doing it, and I'm not even using the Sport mode. Another thing is the sound, the Bose system is fantastic! The annoying thing about the '16 (also Bose) was the poor mounting of the dash center speaker, it vibrated on the heavy bass notes and drove me nuts! But not so with the '17, everything is solid and this model has a sub woofer. The heads up display on the windshield is cool and informative but not distracting, the navigation system is great, at least, I really like it, especially like how travel information is configured on the heads up display. The "radar" cruise controll and smart city braking all work very well, as do some of the other "driver assist functions" but I turned most down or off, I prefer to be the one driving the car. It's been about two months since I got it and drove about 2400 miles, Just love this car, hoping to get at least ten years or 200,000 miles out of it. Will let you know :) ,

By far the best car for the money - more bells and whistles included than cars twice as much. Low maintenance, very comfortable. Could not be more pleased and get compliments ALL the time.

All in all I am impressed with this CUV. Styling is excellent in through out. Ride is just about right though it does not handle as well as with other SUVs I have driven at the higher speeds. Engine is very quite at idle where it feels it is not on. The only complaint I had is when I first bought it, the CX-5 was smoking quite a bit. I thought I had an engine oil leak, however after driving more that 600 miles the issue went away and no longer smoking. I check for leaks and NO oil leaks. The same issue happened driving the test car. This issue lasted a little longer than usual for a new car. The smoking is gone, looks like the engine has worked itself in, and I am very happy with it now. I am use to the center console buttons where they are now intuitive. I average about 26mpg at this time.

Lots of extra safety features, fun and easy to navigate infotainment system. Plenty of pep for merging and passing slower motorist. Lots of fun to drive. Couldn’t ask for a better car.

Handles like a European made car. Interior trim is very good. The battery suddenly died for no explainable reason around 15 months and 18,000 miles. The local dealer did not have a clue why but replaced the battery under full warranty at no cost. The cars navigation system is basically worthless and we use Google maps or Waze on our Android phones instead. The dealer price quote of $650.00 to install the now approved Android Auto on this 2017 Grand Touring CX5 is entirely too expensive and we will continue to use cell phones instead.
