I love variety so I lease vehicles. I've owned multiple brands the last two being lexus. I liked the quality of the lexus interiors and quiet ride. I was looking for a replacement for my expiring lease and a new mazda 6 ad caught my eye. I live in a populated area and had never even noticed a newer 6 because there are few out there compared to other major brands. That along with incredible lease prices compared to lexus or toyota with comparable features. I opted for the Touring non turbo. Ride quality is better, and quieter even with 19 in rims compared to my lexus es with 17s. Interior quality is top notch. I'm 37 and this feels very light and snappy with class. Plenty of exterior colors though only two interior colors, white or black. My mazda 6 window sticker says 100% made in Japan. I was shocked, and pleasantly surprised. My car did not come with nav, though I ordered a mazda USB on amazon for $100 bucks. That option is thousands on a lexus. I wish more options were open on the non turbo. I would've liked heated outside mirrors, the Bose stereo, auto dimming mirrors, and power passengers seat. I've had it for 7 month's so far 6500 miles. Only annoyance is getting in. I'm 6'2 and while getting in my back hits the B pillar. The surrounding door gasket is black rubber and though quality material kinda grips my clothes as well. I'm 180 lbs. Sport mode is pointless. I get compliments on the car all the time. If the Hcci engine makes it to the 6 that would be my next lease.

Was impressed with the M 6. Rides great, comfortable, basically everything I'm looking for in a sedan.

To be fair, this is my 3rd Mazda 6 of this generation. Had a 2015, 2017, now 2019. That alone speaks volumes of how much I love this car. Plenty enough oomph at low rpms, and more than plenty oomph for passing cars on a fast highway. But where the 6 shines is windy, country roads. If you are a driving enthusiast with a family of 4, I swear... Forget the Camry, Honda, Hyundai, Kia. This is the drivers car. Plus the leather interior is just Mercedes quality, thru and thru.

I've always loved Mazda but more so since the disastrous relationship with Ford. There is so much packed into this vehicle and it's so much fun to drive. While I hope more people will begin to see there is more than the Accord and the Camry, it's also nice to drive a car that isn't a common sight.

Overall no actual issues with the vehicle, it's driven roughly 80 miles a day 5 days a week. Some flaws would be the assisted breaking engages way to early, and the engine is sluggish unless you put premium gas in the tank. Additional issues regarding this year of Mazda's not necessarily just the Mazda 6 is the soul red crystal metallic paint, the paint is extremely thin and fragile, if you are to purchase this vehicle used, I suggest taking a good close look at the paint and point out any defects since that is a decrease in the value of the car if the paint is damaged. Also I would suggest getting a paint protection film installed immediately or with a paint correction if you get one, that is a large expense but will save you money on paint repairs in the long run. As for touchup paint, good luck, this coat of paint is very complex and hard to match so you most likely wont find a paint that matches perfectly even if the color code matches. Additional information: 1.) Do not opt in for the navigation system if you have android or apple connect, to be honest the navigation system is stuck in the early 2000s and is definitely not worth the money. 2.) Be aware that you will feel the road when driving, I personally like that feeling since I feel like I have more control over the vehicle but I know other people like to have a butter smooth driving experience, you will not get that with this vehicle. 3.) The design and interior is on par with a base luxury vehicle, but just because it looks the part does not mean it has the same features, you will not have a valet system or a cooled glovebox for drinks, this is a premium vehicle, not luxury. Regarding other comments I've seen: 1.) The heated seats not working quickly, mine kick on and warm up very quickly, you did not say how long yours takes to warm up my seat is completely warm with 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. If yours takes longer and the dealership is saying that's by design, they're probably lying to you. 2.) Regarding the comments where you have issues after a repair, that's not an issue with the vehicle itself, that's an issue with low quality work or faulty work being done on the vehicle. I would never take my car back from a dealership if it was in worse condition than when I brought it in. (This is an issue with Mazda dealerships and even standard repair and auto shops, a lot of techs and mechanics have no idea what they're doing.) 3.) Regarding infotainment screen freezing or turning off. I haven't run into that at all so I can't speak on that issue, I would suggest having a dealership look into the issue, maybe the software just needs to be updated. Final notes: Overall the car is a good vehicle, I'm happy to drive it, and its enjoyable to drive. You're not going to get luxury with this vehicle, but you also didn't pay for luxury so it shouldn't be expected. I personally chose the soul red crystal metallic coat of paint, and even though it looks amazing when properly cared for, its just to fragile and way to hard to match when you get a chip in the paint, which makes me regret my choice in color. Having to put premium gas in the tank so that it feels better when driving is annoying, but at this point I'm so used to paying more for gas than everyone else that it doesn't bother me now. I would say my biggest issue is dealing with techs and dealerships who either don't listen to what you tell them, or just blatantly do whatever they want. For example, if I say I want casterol edge 5w30 in the car, I expect to get that especially if I offer to go out and purchase it myself, not mobile one 0w20 oil, yes, the dealership put the wrong type of oil in the car and I had to get them to drain it and put new oil in again. Also when I say don't wash the car, and you do it anyway and leave swirl marks in the paint, I will chew you out since you just wasted hours of my time since now I have to rewash the car, strip the waxes and sealants, claybar the car, then do a paint correction, I then need to thoroughly inspect the car for all defects and make additional corrections if needed, then reapply a sealant and wax to protect the paint again. Not only do you waste my time by making me do that, you also cause me to have to shave off parts of the clearcoat which can be detrimental once it gets low enough. Overall the biggest downside to Mazda for me is incompetent mechanics and techs working on the car.
