I bought a 2004 Mazda 6i sport sedan after having rented its little brother (Mazda 3) last fall. The 3 was so much fun to drive, I thought a little extra leg room and 4 doors and this would be a sweet car. I did a lot of research and every review I read recommended purchasing the car. The reviews that meant the most were the ones by owners, not tech guys who drove the car one time. This is a great car. I drive 500 miles a week in my sales job and this is definitely a driver's car. Handles like my old BMW. Purrs like my cat. Sometimes I wonder if the engine is running while I am at a light. And after driving a Ford Explorer (gas guzzler) this car laughs at gas stations.

Our seventh Mazda -- A terrific vehicle, much fun to drive. This may be Mazda's best car ever, and it really turns heads. The only, and we mean only, criticism we have is that the manual tranny is difficult to shift into first -- too little gas and it wants to lug and too much gas makes it bolt (the clutch is too sensitive as you try to get underway). Be sure to check out the new hatchback -- it is so versatile, and it is the only hatchback sedan available in America now. We expect a lot from a vehicle, and this ride does not dissappoint!

I bought my loaded 6 last week and each time I have been behind the wheel I just totally smile. I researched this car and many others for about 5 months. I also test drove an Acura TSX...it was very plush but with no V-6...it just could not match the performance of the 6. The low end torque has not been an issue for me. The engine pulls strong all the way to redline. It never feels strained and it sounds awesome! I am very satisfied with my decision to buy the 6.
