Just ... amazing!
It's as if Mazda looked into the future, saw my family, its needs, and wants, and built a car around them. Seating room, extreme comfort, sporty performance, incredible handling, good gas mileage, good looks, great features and safety, and a ride that makes you feel like you are gliding over the road, with a low price tag. It's not only a sensible, but fun alternative to a soccer mom minivan. Mazda ... I love you!

Awesome & Different
I was considering a bland Honda Accord until I ran across the Mazda5 on Edmunds. This is a fun fun fun car to drive and it's certainly not your run of the mill vehicle. I love the handling, the "zippyness", and the build quality. The versatility of seating options is also great. I bought a base Sport model with just auto transmission as an option and couldn't be happier. Traded in a hulking SUV (13 mpg) and am getting 25 mpg in the city so far.
New Owner
My wife & I took a '05 Ford Focus to dealership for taillight replacement. Ended up trading for an '06 Mazda 5. Very impressed w/design, detail, delightful appearance (inside & out). Many creature comforts, lots of glass (for great visibility). Audio system very pleasing for our preferences of music. Easily seats 6 adults comfortably. With seats folded down, excellent cargo capacity. Nice hidden storage under seats. Sliding side doors (both sides) are great. Easy access to 2nd & 3rd row seats, without banging shins as in some vehicles. Pretty car.
GREAT car with a hidden bug
I've owned the '5' for more than 3 years, and the whole family (2 adults+2 young kids) loves it. I was looking for something spacious, minivan or larger wagon, with manual transmission. My previous car was a VW Eurovan with manual transmission, but the manual transmission is gone for current models. When I heard about the '5', it was an easy decision. I like everything about the car, except that if I don't drive it for a week, the battery is empty. The Mazda dealer couldn't find the bug, but replaced the battery a few times at no cost. Also, I expected better mileage and the AC is not great for people in the 3rd row. Other than that, fun to drive, lots of space, and inexpensive to maintain.
