Welcome to Zoom-Zoom Nation!
Just got the car last night but consider I just had a 2008 Mazda3 i Touring for the past 2 years. I will come back & write a review after a few months, but 1st impressions. New Mazda3 is incredible! Handling, check! Superior fit and finish, check! Int/Ext Design, check! Turns heads, check! Bluetooth, check! Fantastic Bose radio, check! More power (167 hp compared to 148 in the 08), check! More Zoom-Zoom spirit & performance, CHECK! Makes me smile and want to drive, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK! This car is a pure joy to drive so far. I used to want a BMW 3 series, but I now look at those cars & think to myself. BORING! Sticker $23,645. Got mine w/roof for $19,900 + T/T.
Awesome Car
Fantastic small car and very fun to drive. Quality is outstanding and features are great for the price. Interior is comparable to many more upscale vehicles. I put on mostly highway miles and average right at 30mpg (S Sport). Back seat is pretty tight but that's expected with this size car. Stick shift is very easy to learn and fun to drive
- s Sport SedanMSRP: $3,99963 mi away
- i Touring SedanMSRP: $4,99590 mi away
- i Sport SedanMSRP: $7,89973 mi away
Fun but hurts
This is a Great little car cant ask for more for what you get. I am 6'2" the seat is a little small for me but that's my fault I should of went for a longer test drive the gas mileage is off the best I have got so far is 30.16 mpg the worst is 24.86 I drive interstate only the same way day in and day out I have just over 10,000 miles now and two oil changes. I think if I got the 2.0 with the power seats I would be more happy with the seat but my other car was an Infiniti with a 12 way power seat. the car is fun to drive and I have got use to the seat great part I can sit in the back seat just fine and my head does not touch the roof as a driver or rear passenger. spend the extra 1k for power.
I love this car!
I have 2007 Subaru Impreza special edition now, and my lease is almost over, so it's time to by a new car. I compared the Mazda3 hatch to the 2010 Subaru Impreza 5-door. The Subaru's style didn't impress me. I got a Mazda3 with everything I could ever ask for. I can say the Mazda handles even better them my 07 Subaru. The 3's engine is monstrously powerful, making it an absolute joy to drive. It has a tight turning radius, is a pleasure to drive and I don't notice any excessive road noise. I have this car for 2 month and I love it. Highly recommended!
Good car with a couple of minor issues....
I have owned my 2010 Mazda 3 Gran Touring 2.5L 6 speed since October of 2010. I recently hit 30K miles on it. It does have some minor workmanship issues. When it's cold, the instrument cluster rattles (which stinks if you have OCD). The front left speaker needs to be replaced. And now the front rotors are warped. The dealership told me over the phone this morning that in Colorado, warped brakes are a common problem, but they aren't going to do anything about it because it's wear and tear. Funny, I haven't had any "common" brake warping problems in my other cars I own, especially at 30K miles. Its a decent vehicle, but I have been reading up on the Dodge Dart.... just sayin'.
