Rattle or Thump

Joe In Illinois , 08/08/2024

Great vehicle once you get used to all the options. But at certain highway speeds there seems to be a thumping / rattling noise that I cannot find... Anyone else hearing this type of noise almost like something loose under the vehicle? Took it in to have checked and of course the noise wasnt happening and even on the test drive, but yep its still there...

Great if you are a geek

We have a 2019 Navigator that has rendered excellent service. I have owned Q56 and Denali SUV and several Lexus LS. The Navigator is the best. So after researching the prospective 2024 Nautilus we decided to trade in my wifes Volvo for a Reserve model. For the Pros; the car is beautiful, extremely comfortable, quiet, plenty of power, lots of cargo room, great turning radius, nice audio, and really effective driver assistance, (once you figure out the controls). The Cons; piano shifter, (don't like it on the Navigator either), the instrument panel is too dark and is subject to glare from the flat dashboard in front, assisted driving engagement controls are not marked on the steering wheel, the tech is overly complicated and is very inconvenient and dangerous to have to study the touch screen while driving. We still like the car and maybe in a couple of years we will learn how to operate it. It is a very good buy for a young person.

First Impressions

What sold us on the Nautilus versus our other consideration, a 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum, was a smoother, solid feeling ride and the luxury accommodations, especially the dash display. The option of getting into a hybrid and saving gas was also an attractive feature. Although we sacrificed some extra storage space in the Explorer, we thought the appearance and efficiency of the Nautilus worked better for us. The redesigned 2025 Nautilus impressed us as more quiet and luxurious than tho 2022 Nautilus we also drive. I did hesitate going with the 2025 Nautilus when I learned it is manufactured in China. At least I’m supporting an American based company?

it’s a good car over all after 5000miles driving, only problem i had was once camera not working when i manually turned it on,some error popped up on the screen keeps telling me something goes wrong, but it’s go back to function normal after i restarted system(press the volume button for 10sec).it’s a hybrid powertrain so i get a good 32mpg in this first 5000miles,the interiors are astonishing since my last car was a honda accord hybrid.one of my friend told me the 2024 nautilus had some issues but my 2025 seems ok and i hope it keeps that way.

Comfort A Joy to drive

Mark, 10/05/2024

Why am I focusing on comfort? The seats are magnificent! My wife and I were stuck in the winter on I95 in Virginia without moving for 26 hours. At the end of that experience we were very impressed with the seat comfort and how we had no aches or pains. I can’t say that about my Lazy Boy. Turbo and transmission provide plenty of pep. Gas version gives 26 MPH on the highway. A joy to drive I never get tired of driving it. We get plenty of compliments.
