Used 2017 Lexus RX 350 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 8A) Consumer Reviews
DISAPPOINTMENT IN FLAWED LEXUS
There is a KNOWN issue with my 2017 RX350. It sounds and feels like a transmission issue but have been told it is an issue with the exhaust system. They know and have know for A LONG time there is a problem and do not yet have a fix for it. I have been complaining for a year now. Initially, was told it was my imagination but since then was told it is a known issue. STILL WAITING. It is loud and sounds and feels like the engine is not wanting to shift to higher gears. This is my third Lexus as I had found them to be so reliable. Now not so sure. MPG for city is running about 14.5 mpg, should be MUCH higher.

Do not buy or lease this car!
Bad transmission , vibration most likely caused by muffler. Lexus will not do anything about it. Should have purchased a Ford -much better quality. Dealer will not tell you about the problem the RX350 has- DO NOT BUY! Will never purchase another Lexus.

Excessive noise and vibration
Wish I had read all those posting on this matter before I purchase this car, go to club lexus website and read all about this problem. I just purchased this last week and realize this problem after the purchase. Can't believe Lexus is allowing this to pass QC.

Beautiful Vehicle!
If you are trading in, go to CarMax first and see what they would give you for your car. Know what you want to pay before you go to the dealership. This IS a pricey vehicle! The exterior of this car is amazing. I love the chiseled look of the entire vehicle. Took me a while to get used to the large front grill, but now I love it. Interior: The driver's seat could be a bit wider, to make it easier to enter-exit the vehicle. The center console is very high, almost like a table...makes it difficult to reach over to the passenger side or glove compartment to retrieve items. Overall: love the car! UPDATE: Six months later: Pretty much the same review. Do not regret my purchase. Driver's side entry - very easy to scuff the interior getting in and out - speaker in door is often scuffed getting out. Cruise control cannot be engaged unless the car is doing at least thirty. The speed limit in my development is 25 and about a 4 mile distance to get to my house, so would have been nice to set the CC to avoid speeding. Have to say the doors are very high and very heavy....this is probably a safety feature, but for a woman, does pose a bit of a problem: for example....going to the bank or drive-in windows at Walgreens or elsewhere, it is very hard to reach the pop-out tray to retrieve your prescriptions or to access the money capsule at the bank. This is not due to the height of the vehicle, but the height of the door, as I previously owned a Toyata Highlander, and never had these problems with the doors......have had this vehicle for 18 months now. Everything I have written previously remains the same. You will note that my mileage is low...only 5500 miles thus far...so this is my last and forever car. I feel very safe in it. Built like a tank! 2/2/2019 Update: Still my forever car! Have had both my shoulders replaced since my last update. Those very heavy doors have posed a problem. But now I keep a cane in the car and use the handle to pull the driver's door closed once I'm inside, and to pull down the seat belt, so I don't have to twist my arm to get to it. Perfect workaround! Because of my low mileage, when I went in for my second year checkup, they SAID they would have to do a 20,000 mile check-up. I did agree, but when I go back next time, will insist on the 10,000 mile check-up. Think I was totally up-sold on this. Otherwise, still my favorite life-time vehicle! 8/5/2020 - almost four years old now....still love the car...but three things happened this year - battery suddenly died in a parking lot - had to wait two hours for AAA, who jumped the car...drove to the dealership and had a new one installed. Was under warranty, so received a new battery. That part was great, but hate the fact that a battery can just suddenly die when you are out and about, and at the mercy and time inconvenience of solving the problem. And then two recalls...the latest TODAY....a problem with the front seat inside door handles, which could result in an inability to open the doors from the inside. Anyway....everything repaired now and all is good for the moment. Still love the car, but just a tiny bit leery of it now. ......have had this car five years now, and still happy with it. Thought it would be my last car, but now thinking about a new one. No major repair...just a battery replacement. Otherwise, just the regular maintenance visits. Highly recommend this vehicle. Update: 6/3/24 Well, My car is now 8 years old with 30,000 miles. Still, pretty low mileage for a car this old. Still looks nearly brand new..just a couple of microscopic scratches. Still runs like the first day I purchased it. They keep trying to get me to purchase a new vehicle at the dealership, however, a new vehicle would cost me at least another $10 thousand for a vehicle that has less options than my current car! I don't think so! I have test driven a new vehicle, and they have modernized it even more, but to what end? So many things on the car that I don't need or use. This is an excellent vehicle, and once you purchase one, I really don't see a need to upgrade. Love my car!

Viberation sucks !
I got 2017 RX350 last November. Everything is good but the vibration is very bad, inside cabin and from the seat. I have to de-attach my back from the seat for reduce the uncomfortable feelings. The suspension is too soft. A little bump on the road will cause it to shake a bit. Most of the time it is like on a boat on the water. Don't like it. It is a good looking car but no a pleasant ride. We regreat didn't ride it carfully when we buy it. the sales man said every car is the same so we just looked the color after test ride a demol car. Thinking about to trade it in next year. MG
