The best purchase that I made in automobiles. Saw the vehicle on the lot at night and two days later the vehicle was in my garage. All done over the telephone. Documents signed in a hamburger joint parking lot Hassle free! Lexus knows how to treat their clients

Bought this car last Sept. brand new -- and I couldn't be happier. Very smooth, great acceleration & handling, awesome brakes and sound system and comfort... Love sitting up higher and great cargo space in the back. And this is AFTER owning a 98 Mercedes E320 sedan - No comparison!! And yes, I'm a chick , and it's definitely a chick car!!!

before i bought the rx 300 i drove the bmw x5 and acura mdx, they both had very bumpy ride and truck type.

Just lovely to drive. Perfect for small family. Luxury and smooth drive and performance all combined in a classy SUV/Car. Buy it, Enjoy it.

Nice overall vehicle for the money. But noise is definitely noticeable for a luxury car on highways. Serious improvements needed in engine power. Vehicle actually starts losing speed fast while going uphill. Transmission shifting is not as smooth as touted in reviews.

I've been really happy with my AWD RX300. Amazingly quiet inside, I still can't believe how little road and traffic noise you hear. Seats are comfortable and leather is very soft. Sound system is great. Just got the car issue of a certain consumer magazine. They score every vehicle on reliability, satisfaction and depreciation. The RX300 is the only vehicle with top marks in all three. I know why, this is a great vehicle.

Steering SUCKS, Car has the ever so FAMOUS Glove box rattle, and some other noises that just aren't worthy of the 44K price tag (out the door.)The goodyear Intergerity Tires Look LIKE and are CRAPPY. The car rides very nice, is pretty quite, but has developed a front end Squeak that seemingly cannot be fixed @ 22K miles. It has been a good car, but the V6 LACKS the power that can be purchased elsewhere for the +40K we paid. IE, INFINITY, JEEP, Mercury! We like the car but it is ?able @ 44K.

One of the main reason for the purchase of this 'car' was the handling; It's really drives like a car that's been raised by about 8 inches off the ground. Wind noise is excessive at freeway speeds for a luxury car.

My experience? Easy. A perfect car. I don't even know why Lexus has a service department. Other than regular scheduled maintenance, there are NO repairs to be made ever!

Great vehicle for running about. Turning circle too wide. Fuel mileage is rather low for a rather weak V6. Great workmanship and detail. For tall people, inside can be cramped.

THE BEST VEHICLE IVE EVER OWNED. ONCE I TOOK THE TEST DRIVE I WAS HOOKED. ITS QUIET,RIDES LIKE A LIMO GETS YOU OUT OF A FOOT OF SNOW WITH OUT A WHIMPER. EXCELLENT STEREO GIVES MY HOME UNIT A RUN FOR THE MONEY. AT 70 MPH VERY LITTLE TO NO ROAD OR WIND NOISE. GREAT PAINT JOB. VERRRY COMFORTABLE SEATS. THE DAY I PICKED IT UP MY DAUGHTER, HER BOY FRIEND, AND MY WIFE FELL ASLEEP ON THE RIDE HOME. ITS LIKE A VACATION ON WHEELS.....

The passanger seat needs a 6 way adjustment. The front part of the seat is too low which allows the passanger to keep sliding off the seat which is not comfortable. The turning circle is also too large. The smell of the leather is not too pleasing at times.

This truck is excellent! Two things the are outstanding are the base stereo and the brakes. The stereo is crisp, clear, rich, and loud. It is the best sound system I have ever heard. The braking system is superb. Braking is smooth and effortless and is not touchy or grabby at all.

MY wife and I purchased the RX300 with the Premium Plus Package after viewing the BMW X5. The X5 had nothing on the Lexus aside from the 'BMW' name. We are very happy with the RX300.

Last year I purchased this SUV for my wife. I must say I'm sold on Lexus the car is wonderful to drive and the other day when I applied the ECT snow feature I was impressed with the active response. We are now a Lexus family, I will purchase either a LS 400 or SC 3 or 400 this spring.

This is my second RX300. I had a 1999 and now drive a 2001 with the Navigation system. The Navigation system is accurate to within about 5 feet. Impressive!! It's great in Minnesota winters; very sure-footed. Great sound system, very comfortable, nice high ride that feels like a car. I drive a lot of miles and I feel very safe in this SUV.

I drive, sell and study all types of vehicles. We recently bought a 2002, 4 year old RX 300, with 44k miles. It is excellent in every way. My wife loves the "fit", not too large, and not too small. The instrument panel, the mileage, the ride, and the overall performance is excellent. We are leaving next week for a 2000 mile road trip, and look forward to going in the RX 300.

The only glitch so far has been a defective driver door hinge (covered by Lexus). The Lexus experience has been wonderful.

I love my Lexus. I'm 21 so I get all sorts of strange looks from older people with the same car. The stereo is loud, really loud, but lacks bass. and one more thing.. for the price differance its way WAY better then a Highlander. Never drove a X5 or a ML series, can't afford so never tried. As for a MDX i didn't like the looks as much as a RX300, i was going for luxury not a off-road vehicle. If its like that i would have got a Yukon or a Durango. But this is my opinion and if you don't agree thats just your taste.

The quality, the ride, and the salesmanship of the this Lexus became the only reason why I purchase this vehicle. Owning this vehicle for less than 1 month, the enjoyment that I got from it is second to none. Perfect seat support, quiet and smooth ride, silky smooth engine (though it is only a 3.0L), center information panel (either you love it or you hate it), and the second to none Lexus service and salesman attitude. If I decide to buy another car, Lexus will be my first choice.

Purchased with 37k miles in June 2006. Nice, well built SUV with good room for 2 or 3, tight with 4 when traveling. Solid drive, wanders a bit on the highway at speeds. Very good cruiser at 75-80 mph. City gas mileage is 17-19 and highway at 75 is 21ish... should be better. Coach leather edition is a nice bonus! Lexus does a great job with fit, finish and wood trim.

omg. i have never driven a car so comforable...so awsome!!! The traction is amazing and I NEVER feel as though i am going to flip. and the people at the dealership were so friendly and helpful. They really helped me and my husband to find our dream car-and at such an affordable price!!!

Bought this car based on the rave reviews, high levels of safety & comfort. We were not comparing with the other luxury SUVs, but rather the Pathfinder, 4Runner, Highlander, Grand Cherokee, etc. Very, very pleased with this choice. Definitely worth a little more money for the level of comfort, safety and reliability.

This car is great. I had to replace my Maxima because it handled poorly in the snow. Can't wait for the first snowstorm! We had lots of luck with Toyotas over the last 9 years with excellent reliability, and low maintenance. This car handles well, though you can certainly tell it's not a performance car with its heft. The 3 liter V6 is adequate and I have actually been getting 22 to nearly 26 mpg for an AWD car, which is amazing! It rides very nicely, and handles bumps well. It's a great cruiser on the highway, or great on rutted dirt roads. We had it on some pretty rough roads and it was great. I hope the Lexus reliability that I found during my research is as good as our 4Runner.

This car is an absolute joy to own. Have driven many different comparable cars and this one is 1st class in it's handling, braking and sound systems. The roominess of the interior is also a big plus. It gets extremely good gas mileage and is as much a pleasure to me after 15 months as the day I drove it off the lot!!!!!

I have owned several SUVs during the past 10 years. This is the most comfortable, the most stylish, and the most fun to drive. I debated between a Ford Explorer and the Lexus two years ago and ended up with the Explorer. If I had known what I was missing, I would have purchased the Lexus then. I have driven the Merecedes M series SUV and the BMW X5. The Lexus has the besr ride by far. I really love the way it handles and the way it absorbs bumps in the road. I couldn't be more pleased.

I really love my Lexus. My heart was set on the X5 but after driving both, the Lexus has a smoother ride. The dash isn't as massive as the X5 and I just believe for my style the Lexus is a better match.

This is my third Lexus but first RX. Drives just like a car. It's easy to handle, and it has everything I've come to love in the Lexus brand: smooth ride, luxurious interior, easy-to-read display.

This is a lot of car for the buck. It drives like a nimble responsive car. The interior is very luxurious and spacious. Acceleration is quick and smooth. Brakes are strong. I got the premiem plus packege without the nav system. After negotiating, we got the car for 33,400.

This is the only time in 25 years of car buying that I bought the same vehicle a 2nd time. I had a 1999, and when it was time to replace it I couldn't find anything else I liked as well. It's big enough to carry a lot of things, but still small enough for easy parking and maneuvering.

I have the best experienced with my RX300, it has very comfortable ride, beautifully designed SUV till date. Normally when u buy a car, u always have on back f ur mind, if i had gone for this other model i would have been better, Well thats not the case with RX. U have to be totally satisfied with the car.

Nothing special. Lexus hit the market from the beginning and did not make any changes since then. It comes with exactly the necessary features and nothing more. It keeps the value very well. The only negatives are that the dealers do not discount a penny, there is some noise at 120-140 km/h when the moonroof is open and the color of the rear lights is too pinkish. Otherwise it's like a classic song played with modern instruments and we plan to keep it 10 years or more Since it was so successful, Toyota used the same power train to build the Highlander, which may come cheaper. -- Bogdan

WE PURCHASED OUR RX300 IN MARCH 02 IT HAS THE BEST PAINT , AND A VERY QUIET RIDE. SEATS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE, AND THE INSIDE IS GREAT. YOU CAN SEE THE QUALITY INSIDE, BEFORE THE BIG L. Bought our rx300 new in 2002 and loved it ever since. Absolutely no problems after 130k miles. Love to drive it, comfortable ride and extremely comfortable seats even after long trips. A definite Lexus/Toyota owner for life. Great job Lexus!!!

I just traded in my 1998 nissan maxima to get the RX.300 and I kid you not, The RX300 rides smoothier then my max did. The service is top notch. As for the car itself, it is a jack of all trades type of vehicle. You can run around in the snow one day and go out on the town the next. I was looking to buy a BMW X 5 but want ever I got I wanted it fully loaded. To get a fully loaded X 5 I would have had to spend 52 thousand dollars. I got my RX 300 4wd fully loaded with every option you could possibly get ( except the coach edition) and paid 38 thousand. Granted the RX300 is no X 5 but cheaper insurance and to ability to use regular gas is good enough for me

The ride on the Lexus RX300 is unsurpassed in this class. I've seen reviews where the ride is compared to a minivan and listed as a "con". This is ridiculous. I don't live in the mountains. I don't need a truck that rides like a semi. This vehicle is a car with everything an SUV delivers. And you never have to worry if it will start or breakdown. Which is definitely a worry with Acura, Mercedes, BMW & any american "truck".

We got this 2WD SUV with $35,500 OTD. I love the V6 engine and transmission, which is the same as my other car and van (Camry and Sienna). The interior is super. The reason we bought it because of our 10th anniversary. It worths to keep for another decade!

Looked at Acura MDX, Mercedes, and The RX. Wife liked the styling of the RX so we bought it. LIKES: The size and related styling is great for our needs. The ride is most comfortable and accommodates five adults easily. The quality of construction is excellent with few imperfections. Did not need the navigation system but ordered it anyway; absolutely love it! Will buy a Lexus product again even though we have owned Acuras in the past. DISLIKES: The roof rack "knobs" are most cumbersome (look at Jeeps set-up). The turning radius is too limited particularly for a SUV as short as this one.
