Top Luxury/Moderate Performance
If I was 10 years younger, this car would not have been my first choice. However ,in my mid 50s it's perfect. Luxurious, quiet, classic and, with the ride stabilization, it handles relatively well. The shift lag seems to improve over time. It can be reduced by decisive decisions to accelerate. If you hesitate, it does too.
Baddabing
The 2002 Toyota Avalon I drove was my favorite. Not true since I bought my 2005 ES330. The luxurious interior and standard equipment of the ES330 outshined the Avalon. I have had many compliments on the Silver/Black interior. Truely a beautiful ride. For more bang for the buck, this car cannot be beat.

Quality Automobile
A truly high quality automobile. Every thing you touch exudes quality. Ride is extremely smooth and quiet. Power and handling is more then adequate. The miles just disappear and you arrive as fresh as when you departed. Dealership is top notch and will exhaust every means to please you. This is my second ES and I will purchase no other make at no other dealership as long as they continue the quality vehicles and first class service they provide.
Finally, the car I've been looking for
This is the first car that after owning for a while I haven't found anything that I dislike. This oddly enough is also the first car I've bought without driving first.
My ES330 2005
I've had the 2005 ES330 for about one week and after driving a Cadillac DeVille's for 20 years I'm a little unhappy with the differance in the ride. I know, I should have known! I miss some of the gauges that were on the Cadillac. My ES330 is fully loaded and I'm happy with the majority of what I've purchased. I hope I can become acustomed to the ride of this smaller car soon. If you buy a ES330 don't do it without the navigation system. It really makes the interior look a lot better not to mention how it works.
luv it
I get a lot of attention when I drive this car. It feels solid, sticks to the road and doesn't bounce around. I understand the gas mileage will increase with more miles on the car than what I have.
Love it !!!!!
My first luxury car and love it !!! If you want a luxury for less than 40k, this is the one. 2005 model has almost all the luxury options you can think of. The service dept at Lexus is awesome! Only 1 minor minus is the acceleration is not as powerful, still I have no regret for choosing the ES 330 over the others (i.e. TL by Acura or G35 by Infiniti). I strongly recommend it.
2004 Lexus ES 330
I am a female who works the night shift and everyday I have to take the interstate, The LexusES-330 has been wonderful to me. I previously leased the same car for 4 years, never once in the four years that I leased it, did it break nor left me on the road. I thank god for the makers of Lexus, this car is reliable, comfortable, and everyone at work is always praising the car. Lexus keep up the excellent work.
Disappointed
The car has a very bad shifting which the dealer says is normal. Very jerky motion like something from a 10 year old car. Not what I would consider luxury. Engine revs way too high. The ac is fine the controls are good but still not what I would consider luxury
Another Home Run
This is my fifth Lexus, and as with my two prior ESs and two GSs, the results are the same, fantastic. I have found the car to ride beautifully, and the reliability to be what I expect out of Lexus. While the body style is not the most agressive, it still carries an air of luxury. I would once again recommend Lexus to any of my friends looking for a new car.
My New E330 Lexus
This car is a pleasure to drive. The interior is well appointed: leather is finely detailed, wood grain matches beautifully with decor, controls are easily accessable, and sound system is superior. I have been very pleased with the gas milage: 22 MPG around town and about 31 MPG on the Interstate. The road noise level is very low, probably the quietest car I have ever owned. You can not hear the engine running when idling. Nice car.
2005 ES 330 Lexus
I have had my new Lexus just over three weeks. (I had a 2001 ES 300 Lexus.) I really enjoy my new car. I love the way it handles driving in the mountains and curves. The car turns on a dime. The power is available when needed to make a manuever on the freeway. The car is extremely comfortable to ride in. The sound system is really great
My Opinion
Not as good as previous Lexus autos I have owned. One major problem causes me to never recommend this car. The transmission. It jerks, slows down differently when one lets up on the accelerator. Even acts like you are braking when you are not doing so. In itself, this could be adapted to by a driver, but it is not consistent. Sometimes it does these things, other times it acts like a normal car. Friends have assigned the knickname "Lurch" to this car.
Lexus 330
My experience with this model has been excellent. Quality workmanship and this model has been refined over the years to have a great deal of reliability and little or no defects. The moonroof is standard, however I never use the moonroof and am paying for it in the overall price. I also prefer a solid roof for greater (potential accident) safety.
Very Disappointed
The car is very nice looking. It has some classy features but not many. The drivetrain is very poor. It has problems shifting very jerky. When cornering it will not shift smoothly almost like a person who can't drive a standard.
Love My Lexus ES330
This is our second Lexus. We had a 1994 Lexus ES300 that we put 181000 miles on through all types of driving conditions in Alabama, Maine and Maryland. When the 2004 ES330 came out, we decided it was time to part with our beloved ES300. The first one still looked and drove like new. That car NEVER gave us one minute of trouble in any way. The new one has more power than the ES300, which is nice. We are now in Florida where the front wheel drive won't be needed as much as it was in the treacherous roads during our winters in Maine. We are sold on Lexus, and will most likely buy one again.
They've Improved a Great Car!
Traded in our ES300, and was pleasantly surprised to find the 330 is faster and handles better, and even gets significantly better fuel economy, despite being larger and more comfortable. Handling is helped by 17" tires, and mileage by the lowered drag coefficient 5-speed automatic. The engine showed about 2200 rpm at 70 mph on our first trip, on which we averaged a surprising 29.5 miles per gallon. This is just about an ideal sedan, with a nice balance of handling and comfort. Glad we chose it over the BMW and Accuras we test-drove.
Lexus live the dream
Today is 7/10/05, although I've only been a Lexus owner for less than 2 months I'm having the time of my life driving it. Sometimes it's worth cutting down on lunch expenses to ride in luxury. This car give you all you need in power & relaxation, and most important features are all standard except for navigation. Which for me it's not needed.
lexus 3300
Quiet, smooth, elegant, comfortable, solid, nice pick up, I dont need to feel contact with the road. No car is more reliable.
Lexus 3300
Quiet, smooth, elegant, comfortable, solid, nice pick up. Have driven Audi, BMW, Passat and Nissan and this is tops.No car is more reliable.
Lexus ES 330

Lexus for Life
Most comfortable vehicle ever owned. Does everything but steer itself. No matter where I go, people of all ages stare at the car as tho it is some rare one-million dollar vehicle. Front seats are extremely excellent for people with back problems. Car rides so smooth, I believe you could run over a semi & not feel a single bump. Will never consider buying anything but a Lexus from now on.
New Lexus ES 330
This is a great car for the money, however when accelerating, there is a definite hesitation in the take off. This has been a problem with many cars in the 330 line and Lexus should do something about it. This model could use a more powerful motor. Other then the above, this is a great car for the money.
Best Car in the World!
This is my first Lexus ES 300 and I'm extremely glad I purchased the car. It's clean, bad, and sexy. It drives so smooth you never feel bumps. I also looked at Cadillac CTS, Audi A4, Lincoln LS. This vehicle is more luxurious than Cadillac, better ride quality then Audi and Lincoln was really dissapointing because the car rattled inside so much plus they are really bad in the snow. If your in the market for a luxury vehicle that is worh your money, get a Lexus after all it's your money-spend it well. Plus these are reliable cars you can count on.
Lexus ES330
Great luxury car. Great value for price paid, with a much better repair record. Car drives, and handles as well or better than Mercedes E320, and BMW525.
Smooth as Silk
My previous vehicle was a 2002 ES 300. The newly updated version is fantastic. The heated/cooled seats are a must! The new maple wood interior looks elegant. The 17 inch wheels look great with the LS430 chrome wheels. The radio controls on the steering wheel are nice, but lacks a mute or off button. The car is still slighly under powered, but the smooth ride and quiet cabin are worth the sacrifice. Lexus quality continues to be the benchmark.
Great Car
Maybe the best car I have ever owned. Like the navigation system and quiet ride. Out of the 30 some cars I have owned this is the first time I have really had to study the drivers manual to figure out how to work everything. To someone who is not computer experienced I would imagine the navigation system would be a bit of a challange. MPG has ranged from 15 in town to high 20's on the road. Doesn't have sports car performance but has plenty of "go" for an old guy like me. However, even my grandson liked it.
Heaven in a Lexus
the new 330 has getter pickup and drives like a charm. This is my 2nd Lexus and I wont own any other car.
Lexus ES 330
2nd Lexus I've owned, (other 98 ES 300) much more powerful, sleek design, more comfortable, easier to operate, roomier, great sound system, easy to use controls, better control on the road. was a great Christmas gift.
The Best
My 3rd ES model, it's the best. Styling, handling, performance, best car out there dollar for dollar. Service is amazing, the sales staff at Bob Baker Lexus are the friendliest and best informed of any dealer I've visited.
Very nice car
This is a very smooth driving auto. I've taken it on several out of town trips and the NAV system gets me right to the door. I can't wait to move up to the LS 430 in a few years. I love the luxury feel this car provides.
LOVE MY ES 330
I researched many cars including the BMW, Audi, Acura, Mercedes-Benz and the Avalon. After much contemplation, internet research and test driving all the cars, I chose the fully loaded 2005 Lexus ES 330. I have had it for 5 months and I love it. It is a smooth ride, not as sporty as others, but still fun to drive. The inside is pure luxury with many features to keep you entertained. The navigation system is very easy and user friendly. Voice activated Nav makes using the nav while driving really safe. The Mark Levinson stereo is a dream to listen to. The comfort for the front passengers is great. Lexus has the best reputation and is living up to it. Luv my car.
Lexus Review
I love this vehicle and I plan on taking it to the grave. I love the quietness of the drive the comfort and the heavy doors which make me feel like it wasn't built out of tin foil. The gas mileage is great for a car of this class. The fact that I have air conditioned seats as well as heated seats makes me feel like I am in totally luxury. The only negative I can think of its that it does not have rear folding seats, but given that fact that my husband has an SUV, I didn't think it was all that serious, plus the trunk size is big enough for my shopping sprees. All in all, I think this is one of the best cars out in terms of realibility, safety, and luxury.
Lexus ES 330 2005 model
Very quiet car. Good value for the money as I was surprised how much the dealer moved off the sticker price. The performance is the only thing at this point that has me slightly disappointed. It does not have the pick up one would expect.
wonderful gas hog
My only wishes are for more storage space in the console, and better gas mileage. The ride is superb, and the heat/air vented seats, stereo, voice- activated travel guide, and overall comfort is non-parallel to any car I have owned, including Cadillacs and Lincolns. I have owned 12 GM luxury cars. Lexus has the best car for the price, and is more reliable.
Nice Car
I love this car, nice handling, beautiful interior, love the stereo adjustments on the steering wheel, wood grain beautiful, leather seats are nice I have the perforated seats allows cold/hot air to flow better.
I'll Buy Another
Everything I had hoped for. Although routine maintenance is a bit pricey, the resale value alone makes up the difference.
miami,Fl
excellent car, needs more head room for a grown man. Wonderful on long open road trips.
Transmission troubles
The new 5-speed transmission shifts either hard or surges with hesitation. In slow traffic the transmission falls out of gear and then surges and jerks to find the right gear. At this point Lexus refuses to find a fix for the problem with this model that now is recognized by their dealers and service departments.
Lexus ES330, a solid, comfortable car
This is a first-rate car, with wonderful interior accommodations and design, with more than adequate performance, and with an exterior design that will stand up in time. My only complaint is that a musty odor comes out of the dashboard vents.
Fantastic Voyage
After owning a few Toyota vehicles, we finally decided to purchase a Lexus. This has been a wonderful experience. The finish and fit are excellent. The steering wheel audio and Navigation controls are a great idea. I was worried about the ride quality with 17 inch wheels but it was not detected after I drove a 2004 with 16 inch wheels. I would like to see a folding rear seat. My wife and I argue as to who drives the car. We truly love this car and will probably purchase another.
As Advertised
My wife has been after this car for quite a while. It is a joy to drive everything works as intended, the only thing she complains of is the interior color. White on tan interior, black would have been better and the transmission the way it shifts but on checking the car it looks like this car is drive by wire, which means there is no cable connected to gas peddle. It's electric, that might be why the tranny shifts the way it does. The hot and cold seats are great, easy to clean, good fit and finish.
millies ride
This is my first luxury vehicle plus first Toyota product. The car feels like a high quality piece of equipment. The performance is somewhat modest, however it does have a good bit of low-end torque. Handling is only fair, but then again its a luxury car. The cabin is vey quiet. Visibility while inside the car could be better.
First new car in 12 years and I love it!
I knew I wanted an upscale car with lots of luxury and comfort, I drove several in this class but this was the one - I knew as soon as I sat in it. The seats are luxurious, it is quiet, it accelerates well - in short, it's great.
From Jaguar to Lexus
I totaled my 2000 XK8 Jaguar in November. When looking for a new car, I looked at a number of luxury cars. When I found the ES 330, it was exactly what I wanted. I needed a 4 door, as I have grandchildren. I could not take them anywhere in the Jag. Now, being more practical, I can safely take my 3 grandkids to lunch and to the park. I am very impressed with the ES330.
Love My lexus
I absolutely love my Lexus. There was some getting used to the car. Every car runs differently so you have to get the feel for it. But it runs great, even cold. It truly is a luxury car.
2004 Lexus 330 needs a V-8
If quality and luxury tops your list, consider Lexus as a buy. Drivability, interior comfort and amenities are impressive, but performance could use a little more power. V-8 engine in next year's model would be better. 300 hp instead of 225 would make the ES 330 perfect.
Great Ride
This is my first 6 cylinder car ever and what a ride. I took the 05 Avalon Limited for a test drive and although the engine may be more powerful the refinement and luxury of the ES is umatched. From the simplicity of the controls to the real wood throught the cabin. The comfort is unmatched. Owning a Lexus is great. I've had people comment me on how great the car rides and this is from owners of s500 and the GS300 as well, so that says a lot.
Good, but not sporty Enough
As a college student this car is very nice. Performance is not bad for the sticker price. I bought this car with almost all options. I was neutral about the design of this car but when I bought it in Black/Black and tinted my windows, it appeared a lot more appealing to me. I wanted a comfortable sedan since I usually go with more than two people and commute for over 2 hrs. I wish Lexus made their sedans more sporty which now in the 2006 GS model they are sportier. Nice ride, great quality, easy navigation system, superb handing, good sound system and great for the value! After all, it is a Lexus (VERY RELIABLE!!)
Best value for the money
Exceptionally quiet and refined ride, way above in ride quality compared to cometing vehicles. Excellent interior, with great fit and finish, and high quality materials, including genuine wood. Handles well in the snow. Nice Mark Levinson sound system (if you get the Nav package). Legendary reliability and dealership experience.
