Used 2003 Lexus ES 300 Consumer Reviews
Longed for the ES300 for three years
Overall, I love the car. It's a luxury car so I can't complain too much that it doesn't take off from a red light the way I would like. But after getting started, it really moves. I was warned that the Lexus could be a little noisy, but to me it's not unbearable.
best of the "small" luxury cars
I hardly expected the quality of build that is shown in this car. It is excellent. The V-6 is plenty quick enough for entering short on ramps to the expressway, and it handles well. One has to remember, this is a luxury car, not a Vette! So far, it is the best car I have ever owned out of the 30 or so I have had.

Better than my Mercedes
My 2003 ES 300 is quieter, peppier and I feel safer in it than in my 92 MB 300 E that I traded. On California freeway at 70+ mph the engine rpm is just over 2200. The dual climate control works well and is much quieter than my old MB. The stock sound system is easily heard at freeway speeds. I'm 6' 4" tall and the driver's seat comfort and adjustable positions are easy to set. The only thing I will add will be after market window tinting.
Word of mouth!
I knew it wasn't going to drive like a sports car (IS300).A sound quality system was expected(I30).After I drove my first Lexus in 1996 I thought I would never drive another luxury brand again. Now I am not so sure..In a few years when start shopping around I don't know.I just think Lexus should be trying to improve their proven winners,Instead of trying to bring new vehicles to market.Concentrate on their loyal following and we will convert the others if you treat us write. The best advertisment is word of mouth.
The BEST Car Ownership Experience
I bought another ES 300 after testing many competitive models priced less than $40,000. My first Lexus was flawless and was best in class when I bought it in 1997. The 2003 model delivers performance and quality that define luxury for me. I dreamed of owning a Mercedes; when I could finally afford one, Lexus was the better car. Life is too short to settle for second or third best. Lexus of New Orleans treated me very well, I recommend them without hesitation(honest and fair).
