Fun car with distinctive exterior & interior style

I bought this car a month back and have driven about 1300 miles on it. Drive Experience: This has been fairly positive. Car runs smooth and interior noise is minimum. I really enjoy the power in this vehicle, and the car can reach 0-60mph in 7-8 sec which is decent for the 261hp engine. PHEV: I get around 33-34 miles with EV only. The range actually depends on your driving style a lot. A lot pf people complain about car not running on EV mode with heater on. This is bummer, but I guess its not too bad given your gas in the tank gets used once in a while due to this feature. Also, you can drive on all EV, with heated seats and heated steering wheel which doesn't use gas. AC can run on electric only. Interior: They are simply great. For the money, I think Sportage Plug-IN Hybrid X-Line Prestige has excellent interiors. Again, I heard a lot of people complain about the selection panel on the screen - you have to choose between temperature and music control on the same panel. It got some getting used to, but it is not a deal breaker for me. Safety: One the reason I was interested in this car was the safety features and they haven't disappointed so far. Self drive, lane assist, blind spot monitors and all the other safety features are very helpful. The blind spot cameras appear in the odometer circle, which takes some getting used to but is actually very convenient once you get a feel for it. Comfort: Seats are comfortable - not too soft, not too hard. The seat leather in the Prestige trim is breathable. I am 6 feet tall and I did not have any issue with the headroom while driving. Also, while seating behind the headroom is a bit less but the Sportage comes with a feature of recliner rear seats which is very useful on long drives. The car overall is roomy and comfortable. Music and display: Sound is great with HK speakers. I like the sleek display very much. Some people complain about the display icons to be very dull and not visible. I completely disagree with that statement. I think they go very well with the feel of the car. Misc.: Looks are great. Exterior color selection is good. I would highlight that car only comes with Level2 charge support, so if you are using a public charger it takes almost 2 hours to get a full charge of 40 miles on this car. But, if you want to use a 110V home charger then overnight charging should do it. Overall I would highly recommend this car to people looking for compact SUV with a decent daily commute to work which can be done in all electric. Kia gives a lot of features at an affordable price and have come a long way as a brand.

A computer with wheels; I just want a reliable car

I read many of the reviews on here, and won't repeat what they accurately detailed already. A few pros & cons: - I like the light up interior trim. You choose the color. Similar to a Mercedes Benz - very classy. -I LOVE the side view (blind spot) cameras that switch on when you turn on blinkers. I never need to manually check blind spots - it's the only auto I know of that does this. Unfortunately, it is not on the main monitor, but on the central console monitor, which requires shifting your hands on the steering wheel every time you change lanes, to see the image. - I LOVE the air conditioned / heated seats = they work, and they work well. -GPS is no match for Google Maps, and Apple integration is by a cord -> not idyllic. - I miss having a heads up display projection, with mph and GPS turns, on my windshield. -I DO NOT like that the car switches to Park if a door is opened, nor that it engages an emergency break, braking me, until I shut my door. GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY TRANSMISSION AND BRAKES. -Jury is out on the floaty ride. Comfortable, but at some cost of being connected to the road. -I had one incident- car switched into Neutral, and gave warning light to see repair shop immediately. Called local kia - they could see me in 4-6 WEEKS. What good is their warranty, if I can't even get in for a repair? When I did get in (to the dealer I bought it from, after much frustrated whining), they found no computer record of this incident. Not cool - it undermined my confidence in this brand. In short, I like this car. I will drive it. But I am wishing I could have test driven the RAV 4 PRIME/ PHEV. Better mileage (42 vs 34 on electric charge); and Toyota, imo, has an unrivaled reputation. Why didn't I? Good luck finding one.

Amazing tech, decent ride

I immediately fell in love with the X-Line Prestige’s interior appointment and its gorgeous matte grey exterior. The seats were comfortable. The driving experience was fine. Better in the Plug-in Hybrid over the standard hybrid. I’m no performance car driver, leaving a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, but I noticed that the vehicle feels heavy and not super fast. Ultimately I decided against purchasing it because the EV range wasn’t sufficient to my needs and the gas mileage plus the small gas tank didn’t make up for it. But for sheer beauty and style, the Sportage delivers.

This vehicle exceeded our expectations in every aspect but 1. Great styling, upscale interior, comfortable ride, nice performance. We have driven the vehicle 3,700 miles in 7 months and have only bought gas twice(16.75 gallons). The only negative is it takes way too long for the heater to bring the temp up when it’s cold outside. We would have purchased the x-line prestige but this model wasn’t avail when we bought this vehicle.

Agreat car with a lot to offer

We were originally looking at the RAVA 4 Prime. The RAVA 4 Prime was very nice but we were not happy how much above the MSRP it cost and it did not seem to have a lot of extra features for the price. Also, The IPAD like infotatamient was something we could live with but wanted everything integrated . The 2023 KIA Sportage Prestige PLUGIN was very well priced and and much more features plus it had no IPAD. Everything was integrated beautifully. Also, there was no comparison on warranties. For an extra 2,800 , we got the lifetime powertrain warranty which included the Hybrid battery. When the battery goes bad, we pay 100 dollars instead of thousands of dollars.
