Used 2004 Kia Sorento EX 4WD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Great Car
My Sorento is fun to drive and very comfortable. I did a little research before purchasing one, and it ranks with some of the best out there.
Problems, problems, problems
Let me start by saying this vehicle looks and drives nice and comes with a great warranty. The bad news is that every oil change around 3k miles it needs major repair and stays at the dealer for about a week. Leaks, 2 blown rear ends, exhaust head gasket, drive shaft, oil filter housing have all been replaced with less than 28k. It doesn't cost anything but you lose the vehicle until they can get the parts, and find time to repair it will all the others broken down.

VERY GOOD FOR LESS
VERY SPORTY AND WAS VERY GOOD OFF ROAD ON SIX INCHES OF SNOW IN THE WOODS. I HAD A BLASTS SHOWING THE WIFE WHAT REAL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE COULD DO! HOPEFULLY THE CAR WILL LAST AFTER THE WIFE IS THROUGH WITH AND IT'S MINE.
Too early to tell
This truck is an unlikey member of the KIA family. Reminds me much more of a Mitsibishi or Nissan product. Dont let the name KIA turn you off. Its a good truck. Still too expensive though compared to what else you can get from other companies. Especially considering the rebates being offered now from GM and Nissan. When we bought this Sorrento, I had no idea that the other companies were discounting so much. Before buying a Sorrento, check with the other dealers to see what you can get for the same price. Again, good truck, will do everything it is designed for well, not great, but well.
Kia can still improve
The problem is that the check engine light continues to go on. I have brought it to be serviced 5 times in 8 months and they still cannot fix it.
