Many issues service can't "replicate"

I wanted to love this car. I put down a deposit and waited for this car to be delivered. I loved it for the first 8 weeks, but then weird and random electrical/display issues started happening. The display above the steering wheel has gone black and reset twice while I was driving. The radio has turned on by itself. The entertainment display has changed screens without anyone touching it. The light bar system lights up when the car restarts from eco mode, when you shift gears and sometimes just randomly while your riding down the road. This problem I can get to repeat daily, not consistently, but daily and the service department says is they can't replicate it?!? Some of these random weird things, no you can't. But the light, yes you can and you shrug your shoulders and have the nerve to say to me that you only get paid if you find a problem, like that's gonna convince me there isn't something going on, I have video after video. The service department asked for the videos to be sent, I explained to them that they are long (my whole drive home) and I could only send part. They said ok. Then when I went to speak to the manager he said the videos had been edited so they really weren't proof, but refused to sit down and watch the full length videos with me. His solution, call Kia and file a claim. I did. Then something really weird happened, the back windshield wiper went off spray and all, without anyone touching it. I called and left a message at the dealer for the service advisor. I received a call back from Kia Customer Assistance saying they will follow up with me on the case at the end of the week, but the dealership will not work on my car anymore. What?!! They sold me a wrap warranty that I expected to use at their dealership but they won't work on my car!!! I'm not imagining these things, I have a lot on video. Do not buy this car or any car from Earnhardt Peoria Kia in Peoria, AZ. This has been a nightmare.

Great small SUV

I was looking for a new car after having a Kia Soul for 5 years and I had enjoyed owning it. I originally intended to buy a new Soul but when the local dealership got a Seltos in I had to give it a test drive. After a year of owning it I can say I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with it. Pros: Great on gas, 3 drive modes (eco, normal, sport [which is quite snappy off the line] ), AWD, great color options (I bought the neptune blue), multiple trim options available, great price for what you get (I got the base model to avoid all of the extras I didn’t want like lane assist, etc), apple CarPlay is great for keeping up with comminication when I’m on the road for long periods of time, feels roomy for a small SUV, great on cargo space, infotainment screen graphics are clear and the images from the back up cam are crisp on it making it easy to see a good area of space behind you. Cons: Start/ stop technology can be a bit laggy when you let off the brake (I turn this feature off) and wait for the car to start back up when you go to hit the gas. Sound system isn’t quite up to snuff compared to what I had in the Soul. It’s not very loud and forget it if you listen to anything with decent bass. Even after changing the settings, I still feel like it’s lacking in that area.

Love this car!

I was coming from a lease and tried the Seltos after reading about this new model. Within 5 minutes of driving it, I was sold. It is nimble, responsive, comfortable, sharp-looking, and affordable. I have the base model and am still pleased. I am averaging 36.6 mpg and that is not highway driving. I do miss auto tailgate opener, keyless entry, and may miss heated seats as winter arrives but overall for the price I’m super pleased with this roomy vehicle.

Small - Quiet - Nimble!

Compared to other small SUVs we tried, the Seltos was FAR quieter, and rode much smoother. The ride is like a much larger car. Love it! The features are about right, the interior is pleasant, controls are nice. The car handles VERY nimbly and easy - which was my wife's reason for buying it. Enough power, good mileage, and the AWD she wanted for rainy weather. KIA has a hit a home run with this one!

From Sportage to Seltos

This is a solid, competent SUV. Impressive features and ability for a little mite. Has commodious room for such a small footprint. I'm getting strong gas mileage 31 hwy and 28 City, only issue there is the tank is small 13.2 gls. I did bounce for the S AWD model to get the extra safety features as well as AWD for Michigan living. Also when you get AWD heated seats come along with the package, also nice for Michigan! I've been impressed with the huspa it has. I keep it in normal mode, as I did my turbo Sportage. Because it only has a curb weight of 3,076lbs. it doesn't take a lot to move it around quickly. Haven't even had it in sport mode yet. I also like the advantage of a center lock differential a nice feature I've not been able to experience yet. The car handles well, but rough bumps give it some jitters. It's happy to go 80mph in "smart" mode and doesn't struggle at all. Lots of hard plastic inside that I'm not crazy about, but all in all the ergonomics is pleasant. If I could have bounce another $2,200 I would have preferred the EX. It comes std. with a sunroof and some more safety features. I'm a large guy and go 242lbs. and I can get in and out easily. I was always hitting my head on my Sportage when entering. I tried to sit in a Stinger, but struggled so badly to get in it wasn't worth it at any price for me. So if you want a nice vehicle with many extras, get the "S" for sure and maybe even the EX. For the money you'll be making a good choice! Here's a bummer, a week after my purchase and only 908 miles on my car, that included a 400 mile trip, I had a bad fall. Although not related, testing showed I had an aneurysm behind my right knee and need surgery. So my baby, that I love is in my garage with storage insurance(:
