Terrible transmission. Tons of bugs Jeep can’t fix
This car started shifting hard and rough less than one week after I bought it with less than 1,000 miles on it. It has spent more time at the dealership to get fixed than it has in my driveway. Dealership cannot fix the issues and they are getting worse with the car refusing to shift, park or turn off now.

Great vehicle
I just signed the lease for a 2019 Grand Cherokee limited, the lease on the 2016 is up. This has been one of the best cars/SUV's I have ever owned, if fact maybe the best. Great reliability, not a thing has gone wrong, comfortable to drive and ride in, Nav works great, just can't find anything wrong with it. One thing that I don't like in the 2019, the rear heated seats are gone and that was a nice added feature. Other than that, this Grand Cherokee Limited has been awesome, I would recommend it to anyone UPDATE: Just turned 42,000 and bought the car off lease. This Jeep has been awesome. Just changed the tires from the original Michelins which were shot at 40,000 miles for Pirelli Scorpions which so far have been as good as the Michelins. Other than normal maintenance, changing the oil, filters and such, this Grand Cherokee has been excellent. Still rides great, mileage up to 25/gallon on the highway and still comfortable.

Definitely not a Honda
I decided to purchase this vehicle because I wanted a sporty fun to drive SUV that has a lot of technology. When I was purchasing this vehicle I had it narrowed down between my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2019 Honda Passport. I ultimately decided to go with the Jeep Grand Cherokee because it looked sportier and to me the Honda Passport looked to much like its sibling family hauler the Honda Pilot. Sadly I regret this decision because so far my Jeep Grand Cherokee has been no where near as reliable as my previous 2006 Honda Pilot. At 4,000 miles I had to get the entire steering wheel replaced because the stitching was unraveling from the leather. Now at 8,000 miles my front end is making a terrible clunking noise as I go up and down slight inclines such as a house drive way. I had my 2006 Honda Pilot for 10 years and 130,000 miles and never once had this issue with the exact same drive way. Also the transmission that is in this vehicle is a piece of crap. On occasions when accelerating in city or highway driving the vehicles transmission seems to get confused and not know what gear to shift into. Also when shifting through the different gears such as drive, reverse, neutral, and park, the transmission is very delayed in picking up which gear it has been shifted into. Then on one occasion in the past the transmission didn’t pick up on the fact that I shifted in reverse and would not do anything but rev up and display the backup camera when I was trying to reverse out of a parking lot, luckily all I had to do was put it back in park and shift back into reverse in order to back out the parking lot. So when I go to the dealer to get my oil changed I will definitely have to bring up all of these issues and see how they may address them. As of now I haven’t had any issues with the engine start/stop feature but it is a huge pain when trying to park or briefly stop to turn at a stop sign because the second I push down on the break the engine turns off and has a decent delay for the engine to turn back on. Like every time the engine start/stop feature is activated it is very noticeable because the engine shakes the whole car when it turns off and back on. On the other hand the car offers a wonderful driving experience that is both sporty and luxurious. I just wish that the vehicle was built higher quality than what it is. So next time I think I’m going to stick with Honda.
Half Price of a German!
Recently purchased this vehicle two months ago. I have to say me only driving luxury cars this car is comparable to BMW, Mercedes, and others. The amount of comfort in this car is unbelievable. The features that this car comes with and the aesthetics of this car is truly worth it. MSRP of the car I’ve gotten was $43925 and ended up bringing the price down to $36,000. For $36,000 you can’t get any better than this. The only downside of having this car is when going to service. Being so used to BMW service, the service from Jeep is horrible but overall worth it. #JEEPLIFE
