My New Jeep is a LEMON
I have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe that has been nothing but a lemon! There have been about 6 recalls, I've had to drive with no heat, or defrost in winter and once was out of state on a 4 hour trip! I live in SD and this was always with below freezing temps. Even after the defrost recall, I had issues with the heat not working. Recently, they fixed the battery recall and the very next day, the orange wrench comes on and says to fix electrical. Once, the car even quit on me and sometimes, our music won't play. The dealership, Billion Automotive, has been horrible and does nothing about this and tells me they can try to fix it. They admit it's been in the repair shop so much they will let out of my lease, if I pay the fee! I don't want another Jeep and I just want out of my lease, with no further obligations and feel that should be taken care of by Chrysler for all of the times I've suffered with this car. I'm a realtor and a foster mom, so I drive a lot. Apparently, my Jeep didn't qualify for the buy back, maybe because it has 23,000 miles, but they wouldn't tell me the reason.

Problem with Stellantis PHEVs?
My Jeep Grand Cherokee 4ex stopped operating on 2/15/24 (vehicle reported failure of electric hybrid engine) and was towed to the dealer that evening. The vehicle is 1-year old and has 10,079 miles on the odometer. It was purchased on 11/15/2022 and is still under warranty. The dealer has been working on it for 7+ weeks and cannot figure out the problem. I called Jeep Corporate and have done little to remedy the problem. Likely a problem with Stellantis' PHEVs (as evidenced by an inability to fix the vehicle over 7+ weeks)? That's my best guess. Will Jeep stand behind their product, so far the answer is NO! I recommend staying clear of this vehicle.

Love my first Jeep
I've wanted a Jeep for 12 years. When I learned that this Jeep was a plug in hybrid, I decided this was the one. I decided to buy it because it was advertised as getting 56 mpg. I've had it nearly 3 months now. I do not get 56 mpg. I get closer to 40. That being said, it is the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. I went from an anemic Prius to a Jeep. Now I can actually accelerate uphill. The leather seats feel luxurious and the ground clearance allows me to go in new places. Until a recent software update the media/control touch screen was glitchy. After 3 months I am still discovering small details that turn the car into a joy. an expensive joy, but a joy none the less.
