Riddled with issues since I purchased the car (new). Half of the luxury features (lane sense, adaptive cruise control) stopped working within the first year. The dealership was never able to fix it. By the end of year 1, the 4x4 would not work and the transmission began to become very rough. Multiple recalls and the transmission is still terrible. The fuel pump and line went bad in year 4. At year 5, the 4x4 transfer box and CV Joint become unusable. The vehicles has always been garage keep, maintained, and only used on the beach for 4x4 (two times). It has 62000 miles and is one issue after another.

Mine is a 2014 latitude....yes, beautiful and perfect the inside....but totally unreliable! I bought mine with only 22k miles, when it started hitting the 30k miles problems started. Firts a recall for transmission, then, all in a sudden while driving NO BRAKES!!!! I bought an extended warranty (thank god) since it was pre owned car. After 5 days, the guy at the dealership told me it had a brake problem they haven't seen before. A month later, I took it again because the motor sound is not even, and the suv shut off twice, waiting at the red light, on the same trip. While I was driving on my way to the shop, I drove on a very small water puddle and the suv just did not have any traction to the pavement! ( 30 miles an hour and my tires in good condition). Ar this moment the jeep its at the dealership shop and I don't know the diagnost yet. Overall, I don't feel safe driving this jeep anymore and don't know what to do because I don't want to have a bigger debt if I have to trade in, in order to get a more reliable vehicle.

Radio/Nav issues

We have had numerous issues with our radio/nav unit in our 2014 Cherokee Limited. As we are driving the nav has us in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. With the first issue, the dealer told us we needed a new radio unit. This for a less than 5 year old vehicle with only 42K miles. After contacting corporate custormer service, we found that there was an update available that fixed the problem and we were reimbursed by Chrysler. Six months later the same problem comes back. The dealership again tells us that there is an internal issue with the radio and we need a new one. I am losing my Cherokee, but I'm losing my confidence in the brand.

Don't buy the extended warranty I have the premier and I am now working and taking the bus because of the fine print you don't take time to read and the service at two dealerships for the past year that I've had this car have been the worst I've ever had to deal with. The bad part about all this, is that my bank says they'll refinance me but I owe that one and nobody wants to give me basically anything for it as a trade in. LOL right now it needs a valve or cylinder they said when I first got it I told him something was wrong with it but it went through one year and through the other. I don't have a checking debit card so getting a car rental that's part of warranty is that the window it's a nice looking car from the outside and a distance, but an American made car I now regret selling my little Rav4 Toyota two-door Sports I had it was nothing wrong with it I just didn't want to have to cars with two insurance. That car never gave me any trouble. But now look at me walking 65 years old and having to walk the catch the bus and that's a nightmare you got a bunch of people bath on disability screaming at each other but until the druggies Etc. This car Jeep Cherokee latitude has given me nothing but attitude.! I can honestly say that I've had Clunkers for sure why that didn't give me so much trouble as this one and that better service. FYI car has a hundred thousand mile warranty it's because the company knows it has issues and then you have to stand in line and wait for them to just look at it at least 5 days plus it comes back with parts missing if you're not careful I suggest you take pictures before and after. LOL I've always had Nissan or Toyota and never had any issues other than I trade them in for are you a model. I was supposed to get a frontier but it was sold the day before I went to get it and the salesman waited to tell me when I got there. He told me jeep was not an American made car. I don't recommend it unless you are married to a mechanic or related to one that can work on it because the dealerships are the worst I'm just talkin about here in San Antonio Texas. Good luck by 1 you're not worth it by a Mercedes we're going to BMW you won't have the trouble and it's worth it quality cars

This is my 5th Jeep Vehicle. Bought all of them new. The first four were great very reliable and very few if any problems. This one has been a nightmare! 3 warranty issues which all required multi day visits to dealers with in one case my dealer having the car for 5 weeks. This vehicle constantly breaks. Electronic issues, misfiring engine, failed engine mount and now a blown radiator. In addition to paying for the car and regular maintenance I’ve spent countless hours at the dealer for warranty work and many thousands on unexpected failures. I’ve owned 7 new cars in the last 20 years and this vehicle is by far the worst! I will never again even consider buying a Jeep brand vehicle
