Used 1994 INFINITI J30 Consumer Reviews
Great car
I have owned a 93 Infiniti since 1998. When I bought it I had the dealer to replace the sunroof motor and detail it. I had to replace the transmission (with a used one) at about 115,000. Went out on a hottttttt day (about 100 degrees). No warning. Was running fine then would not pull at all. Since I went used, I got this done for around $1000 (vs the $6,000 quoted by the dealer). The only other problems I have had are that the radio lights don't always work, and the left rear window switch has quit working. Other than that it is a great car. I now have 133,000 miles on it and it runs great and looks great.
My First Car!
This car handles very well. In fact it handles better than any car i have ever drove.
Is it "All that?"
I have owned my Infiniti J30 for 5 years now. Thank goodness I got the extended warranty when I got it. Whew!!! It needed major tranny work, but it was covered. In addition, thanks to the warranty, I got new shocks on the car. When I purchased it there was 44k on the clock. Now that all of that was corrected....This car has been running like "butter" ever since, and I have not experienced any other problems. Over all....Excellent automobile.
Great Car
I purchased my J with 100K miles and she now has 130k miles. This car offers a great ride, great performance and a very nice interior at a great price, people constantly mistake it for a 30,000$ car (nice feeling). Alot of people complain about reliability of the car. It is true that the car is plagued by many small electrical problems such as dash dimmer, side mirrors, CD player and a few others. However, the transmission mostly fails in areas with very warm weather. Up north it is rare for transmission problems to occur with the j30. Heat will decide if the transmission will last 60K miles or 200K miles. The car is a very good buy and is well worth the few electrical problems it has.
j30 great used car
I really like the car and the prestige associated with all Infinitis. It is still quiet after 100k and everthing still works very well. Albeit, you must bang the rotating dimmer switch to get the lights on the dash to glow and I keep catching the leather b- pillar cover on entry.
