Used 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Consumer Reviews
My First SUV
This was my first SUV, my prior veh was much smaller. This is easy to get in and out of, great for grocery shopping and hauling kids around. The seats could be a little more comfortable for long trips. Overall, I stay local with the car and absolutely love it!
Very Pleased
I've owned my vehicle for 18 months. I have had no problems what-so-ever. The gas mileage is consistent on the highway or in the city at 20 - 22 mpg. I enjoy driving and appreciate the unique looks.

Lemon Hyundai
My Santa Fe is 5 months old. It has broken down 5 times. I would never buy another Hyundai again. The customer service has been the worst I have ever dealt with. My brand new car keeps breaking down & they act like I'm bothering them by wanting it fixed.
faulty engine
I like the car and it is good for road trips. lots of room and standard features. That's a plus. I had the engine replaced at 13,000 miles and thats after not doing anything about it because the dealer kept telling me there was nothing wrong, but the car was shaking a lot. Now I have 22,000 miles and its doing the same thing.
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
My wife and I love this vehicle. Great value for the money. We got it new from factory only 6 miles on it. Great for traveling and long trips. We have auto transmission, as well as the space is great especially for a man who is bigger like me. It has some pep for a 4 cyl and gas mi is about what I'd expect. It even comes with a 1st aid kit and full size spare is great. I get regular oil changes and have not had one major issue except for the common ones.. Tires, brakes etc. Would not trade my vehicle in for anything. Got extended warranty (value?) for 7/100.
Worst Vehicle I've ever had!
The moment I drove this vehicle off the lot, I've been having problems. Molding on the hood is coming off again; no pickup whatsoever; braking is poor; gray panel across bottom of vehicle chips very easily; back door of vehicle is way tooooo heavy. Previously had a Honda CRV -- the best! Mileage is terrible. Not sure what good I can find. Every week, if it's not one thing, its another.
Poor gas Mileage
Car does not perform as expected.
2000 miles a month cant be wrong
Idrive alot 2k a month and all over while i am 6'5 the vehicle was not designed with me in mind but to hop in and go 375 miles in a few hours i find to be better than my old 4-runner and it gets better mileage to i would reccomend this vehicle to anyone who wanrs quality with a great warranty and great value for the dollar
Everyone needs a Hyundai
I am a college student and my Hyundai is good on fuel and the price is not so bad. I can have a comfortable and nice SUV and still have a little money left for tuition.
POOR PERFORMER
The vehicle did not meet my expectations and had many expensive, time consuming mechanical difficulties.
