Used 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Consumer Reviews
Catchy Unibody Trucket with
SEL Premium AWD with about 3400 miles on the turbo / dual-clutch combo. This trim-line seems to offer some value if you don't want or can't source a Limited. I've managed 23 mpg since owning it. One trip of 45 miles registered 30.3 mpg. It is just practical enough for fuel economy these days. I liked the idea of getting a Hybrid but I do not have a place to plug in a hybrid (or really the time to charge consistently with a residential drop) Very happy with the Santa Cruz overall; suits my use perfectly, no hitch yet but I am eager to get that installed. After about 1000 miles the shifting smoothed out at low speeds. I will elaborate a bit on that. With the dual-clutch, there is a bit of a 'grabby' halting sort of feel cornering and coasting thru intersections. That feeling I would also describe as a low-key sort of 'engine brake' that is always in the background. So that feeling is what smooths out after the first 1k. The AWD is competent, but I wish it had a bit more RWD bias on takeoffs. I am used to Volvo XC AWD. The ground clearance is just enough, Wish it had a better-protected radiator (small stones) and/or skid plate setup. It doesn't drive like a large vehicle. The turbo is punchy. I do like the look and functionality of the 18" 245/60r18 tires vs the larger 20s (which have a lower sidewall profile) Overall it is a really attractive vehicle. Grateful to have one, It's the answer to a prayer for a reliable vehicle that was also functional in the right areas. It's the first new car I've purchased after owning 7 or 8 other vehicles. I did not compare the Maverick because It wasn't on the lot when I needed it to be. The Santa Cruz receives a lot of compliments with the consensus being that it has more presence and capability than people expect for a truck that is not a truck. The front end takes some getting used to but I had to appreciate the 'Cruz' in relief of the front grill pattern. My tip, buy a set of ratchet straps to keep in the back. I've used the bed extender one time for a large dresser and needed the straps. Then moved a haul of 6 pallets, also needing the straps. And buy one without the rolling tonneau cover worked into the deal I will be driving the Santa Cruz around for a long time.

Fun to drive
I bought my 2022 Santa Cruz SEL in April of 2022, and have driven it half way across the States, from Eastern Tn to Western Mo. and back, not to mention the usual local trips that everyone makes. It is quite peppy on acceleration, steering is precise, and is a breeze to park, don't have to look for bigger parking spaces like I had to with my Tacoma. I have had virtually no problems or issues with it. I have gotten 29-30 mpg on the road, so fuel efficiency isn't bad, and that is cruising at 70-75 mph. It seems to be built rock solid, the doors and hood all close tightly, with no squeaks or rattles in the body. It really is a fun vehicle to drive, and I have been asked quite a few times what kind of pickup it is. I just wish that they would make more or different exterior colors. Other than that, I haven't got any major complaints. Having said that, the location of the controls for the heated seats should be in another location, as you can inadvertently hit that switch without knowing it while getting into the consol. And Hyundai should put an overhead storage unit for sunglasses as a convenience. An arm rest in the center of the back seat would be a nice idea also. After owning it for 2 years now, this is about the only issues that I have found with it. I do highly recommend getting the "all wheel drive" version, as you can really feel the extra traction when starting up and on curvy roads. That is a definite plus, having that sense of better steering capability and traction. The seats are supportive yet comfortable on long drives, making driving a more enjoyable experience. I still enjoy driving this vehicle, much more so than the Tacoma that I owned before. Sure the bed is shorter, but the tail gate is adjustable to hold 4x8 sheets of plywood flat with no problem. Cosmetically, it's style is distinctive and doesn't get lost in the crowd, making it easier to find in a crowded parking lot. After 3 years of ownership, I still enjoy driving this vehicle, and it still gets looks and comments from other drivers, almost all of them positive. I have used it to tow a trailer a number of times, and have had no issues or problems there, as the Santa Cruz has plenty of power to haul any reasonable weight, although gas mileage does tend to suffer somewhat when hauling a heavy load, which is to be expected. Other than that, I am still very happy with the Santa Cruz and I intend on keeping it for a very long time.

Transmission Failure
Loved my Santa Cruz up until about 27,000 miles I noticed increased engine noise. I took it into the dealer and they confirmed that the transmission failed. The dealer is submitting to Hyundai for a transmission replacement. This obviously leaves me with big concerns about the longevity of this powertrain. UPDATE: When the vehicle has been usable it has been fantastic, unfortunately that has been for a lot less time than I would like. It has been in the Hyundai dealer for service for almost 7 months out of my almost 3 year ownership. I am about to get my 3rd transmission, and the transfer case and high pressure fuel pump have been replaced also. More minor issues are the built in tonneau cover began sticking closed on one side to the point of requiring replacement. The driver window switch is faulty, when lowered a 1/4 way for a period of time when you go to raise it the window lowers instead (Hyundai says they can't replicate this). The seal on the driver tail light is bad and began allowing in water almost immediately which Hyundai dealer said was normal.

Best of all worlds - updated six months in!
My original thoughts at time of purchase: I purchased my 2022 Santa Cruz Limited AWD three weeks ago and have put 1,000 miles on it so far. I absolutely love this vehicle! PROS + Fit and finish is excellent. High quality materials used throughout the cabin. Keep in mind I do have the Limited trim which comes with upgraded materials and features throughout the interior. + Driving experience is great. More than enough power, fun to drive, and the dual-clutch transmission is quick! + Beautiful design. I'm sure it will fade over time but I have never gotten so much attention in a vehicle before. Everyone seems to like its design when they see it in person. + Practical. The Santa Cruz bed, while small, is perfect for small around-the-house projects, light landscaping, and just general hauling of small furniture items. The price of the vehicle seems very fair for what you get. The size is perfect and easily fits in our tight garage. + Technology. I'm coming from Lexus models and the safety tech and infotainment is blowing my mind. The preciseness of the lane centering and the ability to stay in the lines around curves is something I have not experienced before. The Bose sound is excellent, but not the best I've heard in a car, yet more than fine for someone like me who really enjoys listening to music. + Heated seats and steering wheel work really well. The seats get so hot that I had to turn them off, which I've never had to do before in a car. CONS - No flip down armrest for rear seats - CarPlay is only wireless on lower trims but once you get the upgraded, larger screen it requires plugging the wire in. No idea why. - Dealers are pricing these anywhere from $5k to $20k over MSRP. I paid sticker, so it's definitely possible right now. My advice is to just keep shopping until you find a dealer willing to sell at or below MSRP. - Ventilated seats could be better, but better than not having them at all. - I wish it came in a silver exterior color like the concept That's all I can think of for now but I'll keep this review updated as I put more miles on the SC. 6 MONTH UPDATE: Still loving the Santa Cruz. Issues: We had some squeaky brakes and it took the dealer a few visits to fix them. That was at approx 1,500 miles and they replaced the brake pads. Now with 9,000 miles on the odometer, the noise has not returned. Not having physical buttons for the radio and A/C is actually totally fine for us as we've really gotten used to the interface - BUT - we have a ton of scratches on the piano black plastic and screens in the center stack, even though we only use clean microfiber towels to wipe the dust and fingerprints off. Oh well. Maintenance: We had the first oil change and tire rotation completed recently and it was covered by Hyundai's 3 year/36k mile maintenance-covered period. Pros: Everything else has been enjoyable. No rattles, the build quality seems great, and we've been able to use the bed for small house projects. We absolutely love this thing - best car purchase in years!

Really happy so far with SEL trim but...
My wife and I were in the market for a car, usually we buy a used car that's a year or two old but when we saw the styling on the Santa Cruz we both fell in love. While I would have liked to buy the Limited, I just couldn't justify the cost so we bought an SEL. The SEL has the smaller engine and I would just like to say that it's perfectly fine for everyday driving. If you're going to tow or want to go off-roading you'd probably want the more powerful engine. The front seats are comfortable and offer plenty of support. There is no room if you're sitting in the back. I'm 6' and like my seat back, there is really no way anyone could sit behind me with where my seat is positioned. Not a problem since it's only my wife and me. It handles like a car and fun to drive. Don't like that there's no built in navigation. Especially with a screen as large as it is on the Santa Cruz. Don't like I couldn't add the bed cover but the dealer told me it wasn't available, even after market, for the SEL. Wish they would have included a spot for sunglasses in the roof like I've had on most of my other cars. Plenty of storage both inside and out. The controls are well laid out for the most part. I don't care for where they put the seat warmer controls. We've had a couple of Hyundai's and they were solid and dependable so were comfortable going with a Hyundai this time. Especially with it's styling because we both think it's really appealing. It also doesn't look like every other pick up truck out there which were huge points in it's favor as far as we're concerned. Yes, the bed's not that big but it's big enough for our needs. Now I just have to find a bed cover...

Head Turner
Got the Preferred (AWD, 8AT, 8" Screen) here in Canada. LUV it. Had a 11 Ranger prior. Everything is snug, well built. Many people look, and both thumbs up. Only issue are getting the accessories. Not much out yet in Canada, and i do say, expensive. The Mavricks accessories are huge. But, the Style, looks are definitely a Plus compared to Ridgeline and Mavrick

2022 Santa Cruz
Comfortable, quiet, drives great, and looks awesome. However after about 6 months after I got it, the Santa Cruz developed a serious mechanical issue. I would experience sudden and random loss of power. At any speed in any situation, no power and complete inability to accelerate. Took to dealership several times included multiple videos of my experience to the dealership. Spoke with Hyundai several times. I was told could nothing about my problem. My Santa Cruz was a safety hazard. Traded it in and loss a lot of money to have a properly functioning vehicle

Santa Cruz transmission glitch
As a new owner of eight days total my Santa Cruz SEL premium has transmission high-pressure pump failure had to have it towed 39 miles to the nearest dealership initially wouldn’t provide courtesy car still hasn’t 6 to 7 days before work could be authorized yet to be determined whether pump will be replaced or transmission blogs indicate safest is transmission replacement estimated time probably over 30 days with no indication that the factory has corrected the problem seems to be in accurate filling of brand new transmissions and low oil levels

Early impressions after Two weeks
I got the SEL with the activity & cargo package. First of all, the base engine has plenty of power for my needs, however, I tried the "smart" mode and didn't like it...too sluggish, but the normal mode is just fine for my driving style. It's just the wife and I so back seat room is a non-issue for us although at 5'9" with my seat adjusted to me, there is enough room behind me for any average adult. I came off of a maxed to the gills 2018 Sonata. I will say the Santa Cruz is very comfortable, easy to drive and handles well. There are only a couple things I miss by not getting the SEL Premium or the Limited trim, one of which is the adaptive cruise control, I loved it and miss it. Another, believe it or not, is the heated steering wheel. If you have experienced a Michigan winter, you know what I'm talking about. I read people griping about the bed being small. My answer to you is buy a bigger truck. The bed for me is perfect and although the activity package is expensive, it's well worth it for the tonneau cover which to me is a necessity. I ran it through a high pressure car wash and there were only a few drops of water in bed near the tailgate. I should mention the trunk in the bed. Many people online are complaining it's too shallow and comparing it to the Honda Ridgeline. Here's my take. The Ridgeline spare tire is only accessed through the trunk which is why it's deeper and the Santa Cruz spare is accessed from under the vehicle...difference being if you have a load of gravel or topsoil and have a flat on the way home, with the Honda you are shoveling it all out to get to your spare...not with the Santa Cruz. No one mentions that. Also should mention that the trunk and tailgate lock when the vehicle is locked and the Tonneau cover can be locked manually for much more security. Just to nit-pick a bit. I would have liked more storage cubbies and/or a sliding tray in the console bin (get on this aftermarket people), a place for sunglasses overhead and I would have preferred they ditch the shift lever in favor of a drive by wire knob which would give you much easier access to the USB & 12v ports as well as the wireless charging area for your phone. Ok, that's all for now. I will update later after I've had a few months with it.

15,000 miles later I’m still in love!
I fell in love with it out of the gate, but I prefer to leave reviews after the honeymoon is over. So far I’ve had it out to trailheads in the high desert, down logger trails in NH and on the beaches of NC. At one point I had it in deep axle-grease type mud, and still managed to keep it going. Would I take it out rock crawling in Moab? Absolutely not, but it is more than up to the task of getting outdoors. I couldn’t be more impressed with the technology, comfort and smooth ride. The 2.5L non-turbo engine provides plenty of power for my purposes, which is something I was originally concerned with.

Great Small Truck! Fantastic Technology!
I was able to find a Limited Santa Cruz in white, I absolutely love driving this small truck, after driving an F-150, the Santa Cruz is quite different. The technology is amazing, especially when you put on your signal to change lanes and the lane appears in the speedometer or RPM screen. The handling is fantastic and gas milage great. The large flat screen is easy to work and very driver friendly. Overall a great ride.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES
My Santa Cruz limited is in the shop now due to engine running rough and engine light. Also towing company found oil on the roll back when delivering it back to the dealer. The engine has been acting up since the first month I purchased the vehicle but dealer has been unable to locate issue. The transmission has a hesitation when going from gears. It wants to roll forward when putting car in reverse. The steering will all of a sudden pull you to the left without warning. The dealer has not been able to find causes for transmission or steering issues.

I have a list to give the dealer.
Setting up my first service, I have some issues with an overall nice fun vehicle. 2022 Santa Cruz Warranty Work • Cruise Control This is the worst cruise control I have seen on ANY vehicle I have owned. For example; When I set the cruise at 60 MPH it will set at 59 MPH. I reset it to the speed I wanted and during cruise my speed will vary +/- 3-4 MPH. My other Hyundai’s remain right at the set point MAYBE vary +/- 1 MPH. • Transmission This is a terrible transmission. The RPMs flare when driving easy in the neighborhood and in town. If I use more throttle pressure out on the road it still flares more. I tried shifting manually the RPMs still flare. I tried shifting manually in Sport Mode RPMs still flare. The upshifts when driving easy are often clunky. Throttle Response The throttle response is poor. If I push the throttle quickly to pass a vehicle I wonder if it will actually do it. There is at least a full second delay before the vehicle reacts in any way. The throttle response is better in SPORT mode but I cannot drive around in SPORT mode. The Shifting is so delayed and RPMs so high with normal throttle control and the engine revs so long that it is impractical to use for normal driving. Other than that it rides and handles better than my Wife's new Tucson. Gets 26-28 MPG and looks good,

Cute Trucklett but becoming afraid to drive
I too have had a problem with RPM "flairs" 4000 RPM during gentle acceleration and only going about 20 mph? Or how about a 2-3 second delay before the engine engages if you have to accelerate harder. I'm on day 3 waiting on a response from the survey advisor. Had my last Hyundai for 230,000 miles. It's still going and has had zero problems. I just don't think they are as good as they were
Love My Santa Cruz, Exceeds My Expectations
I am very happy with my Santa Cruz (SC). I watched videos, read reviews and researched after I came across an ad for the SC. The look and features were so cool but not being impulsive I needed to research other options. After a lifetime of buying cars that were nice but that I could afford I realized I was in a position to afford what I wanted as well. I live in a neighborhood in a large city and want to be comfortable tooling around. I also did not want to stress parking. I go camping, move home stuff and love tech. I found the trim and features I wanted. The SEL trim (preferred the wireless connectivity and physical dials) AWS with the activity package for the bed cover, tech and safety features. I also did not need the turbo engine. I liked and nearly pulled the trigger on a competitor because the SC is hard to find, especially with the features and color I chose. But I wanted the SC because the others were lacking so I held out for what I wanted. I had it for a week now and it does not disappoint. It's gorgeous. Everyone that sees it comments how stylish it is. It drives great. The dealership that I bought it from was a two-hour drive from home. Very comfortable, the tech is amazing, it's quiet and I keep discovering details and features. There are tons of reviews for details on features, style performance of the SC so I'm not going to repeat them but do recommend reviewing to see what it has to offer. I will say the vehicle exceeds my expectations and the SEL trim with activity pack is perfect for me.

Very cool trucklet/SAV
I just got an SC limited. I wanted a top safety pick with decent power, good handling, AWD, good headlights (which this trim has), character, and usefulness as a play and work sidekick. So far, I am very happy. I can throw all my kayaking gear in the bed, bring home mulch and plants for the garden, tailgate party, plein air paint, etc, and do it without messing up the interior of the car. Plus, it is fun to drive, has 360 surround cameras and tons of other tech that is fairly user-friendly. When you use turn signals, the appropriate side-camera image displays on the instrument panel, which is a nice safety touch. Power and handling are quite good, it feels firmly planted on the road with good acceleration. It is also nice to have something that stands out from the sea of similar SUVs that populate the roads where I live, though styling is a matter of personal preference. I like that it fits in the garage. While some SUVs and pickups offer more cargo space, thie SC has a compelling combination of features that fill my needs. I usually do not buy a car in its first year out, so I hope reliability is good. Hyundai's warranty is quite good, which is a plus.

The best vehicle I've ever owned
Absolutely love the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz 2.5 turbo AWD Limited. It's the perfect union of the best parts of a car/SUV combined with the ability to do some truck stuff with out driving a large truck. I'm hoping they make a hybrid version, but for now I'm in love.

Fun to drive but tech is a miss
I love how this truck looks and handles. It is fun to drive. If I could rate things individually, I would give the tech a 2 star. The remote start is almost useless and frustrating. By the time it works… when it works I am usually within 5 feet of the truck…. Useless. It is not a deal breaker but so very disappointing.

Seats are beyond comfortable. Ride is wonderful. Technology is great. I love the fact that there are no nobs on the dash. Makes the dash look clean and access is on the steering wheel.
Love our Santa Cruz-er !
I had been waiting Presently for this little Hot Wheels Vehicle! Got ours in August! Just got the first free oil change 7k . At 65 now we have most everything we need. So this little Hot Rod Sleigh Hit Old Santa &Mrs. At the best time of our lives Prase God! What a great Gift it is too. We Love everything about ours .The only thing we've had a problem with is getting our Tow Package put on! Hyundai Really dropped the ball on this one! I really DID NOT LIKE HAVING TO DRILLING HOLES IN MY NEW DASHBOARD! THAT SUCKS BIGTIME! FORD may kick there butts on this one fact ! But its done now and the pain is leaving and the controller matches my interior! The truck is self leveling witch is great. It will haul Plywood with no problem. With gate down you have a 6ft bed .We Love the bed kooler/ storage ! I have the 18in instead of the 20s . It Handles fantastic and with 18in you have better grip and can get more aggressive tires to go more places. It tows great but gas mileage goes form 33mpg hwy to 17mpg with my 18ft travel trailer. But it has absolutely no problem pulling it! It helps to upgrade to mid grade gas when towing. The side mirror were good. For seeing. It's my opinion it's the best retirement Vehicle! Oh yeah a long time Hot Rod guy ! I got some great interior Red Trim and broke up all that Piano Black really looks better! Only thing is you constantly have to keep a LINT TOWEL to keep the dust off. Last is on my 2019 Soul turbo I never needed a wire to connect to the navigation system on Phone! The USB is behind the Park and Gear Shifter ! The Port was Broken off before we even took Delivery! The part still has not come in ! So only having one port you cannot Voice Dile any thing. Sucks. Yes ports to change but not to connect. We have two licence plate lights coming in because of moisture and very losefiting that is it rest is Golden! Can't wait to get into some snow or out on the Beach! Oh yeah just sold my big SXT extra cab 5.0 Big Coyote. It's been a great truck since 2013 260k she was still serving but This last election destroyed her. 80bucks to fill is not an option! It sucked to let her go! But she helped to pay off the Cruz-er. Looks nice but has severe engine issues
At 5000 miles my Santa Cruz developed engine issues, specifically, entering a highway it simply did not accelerate (reached 50mph maximum). Pulled over, called roadside assistance. There were no codes or warnings, dealer reprogrammed transmission. At 7500 miles engine misfire codes started. Dealer replaced a spark plug, problem returned 2000 miles later. Diagnosis - leaking injectors, parts ordered 8/15/2023. It is now early October, car is still at dealer waiting for parts, expected parts ETA is late November. Have been unable to use the car for close to 2 months. Absolutely no support from Hyundai corporate. My first and last Hyundai. I can not use it, I can not sell it, I can not trade it.

Overall a great vehicle, all the utility that I expected and some more. Rides well, pulls strong. I average about 26 mpg. Infotainment system is pretty good, easy to use, no lag. If you want leather interior, you have to opt for limited. Smallish sunroof. No storage for sunglasses.

Great mini truck was really good gas mileage
I bought this truck a year ago when my Ford maverick was on a one-year wait. I really like the truck I think if I had it to you over again, the only thing I would do is not buy the factory bed cover. It takes up too much space at the front of the bed overall extremely happy with his truck extremely comfortable to drive.

My Kind Of Ride!
Found a vehicle that wasn’t a car but wasn’t a truck and just what I wanted! Friendly dealership, fair price with great warranty, decent gas mileage, can fit passengers and haul the things I need to!! Granted it’s not a cushy ride like a high end SUV but smooth and solid, just what I was looking for! I knew when I got in it for the test drive, I knew it was the one I wanted! The customer service and dealership incentives are a great bonus and incentive to buy local! So happy with my new Hyundai Santa Cruz!!

Love this truck...er...car...er...SAV!
If you tow a lot and haul a lot, this isn't for you. This isn't a farm truck or a work truck. But if you live in the suburbs and use a truck bed for the occasional camping trip, kayak trip, or trip to Home Depot, this thing is great. Tons of useful features on the outside (taneau cover, roof rails, AC outlet in the bed, etc.) On the interior, the Limited trim is amazing. Those complaints about not having knobs? Forget 'em. That doesn't bother me at all. And the clean look and functionality are awesome. It just looks cool. Lots of connected features like remote start, digital key, etc. And the smart, adaptive cruise control is a game-changer.

Great SUV-truck
I’ve owned many pickups, from small Fords to big Silverados and F-150s pulling trailers, RVs and boats. The downside to most of these trucks has been they are just too big for city driving & parking, and thus are really “second” vehicles. Our Santa Cruz addresses this dilemma with its compact size, easy maneuverability, and small-job cargo space. In other words, it is a great urban truck. Certainly not for everyone, but in my case, a great solution to the urban truck quandary where someone needs an SUV most of the time and truck occasionally. Great build quality, nice interior, and stylish design. If you need a big truck for hauling stuff this won’t work for you, but if you have a truck for that, this will become your everyday go-to errand-runner and favorite SUV-truck. I opted for the standard engine, and it is a great power-economy balance. Favorite accessory: roll up tonneau cover for securing the bed from prying eyes.

If you really want to enjoy driving, try the new Hyundai Santa Cruz, the newest model in pickup trucks. I did! With its multi-faceted design, it is tough enough for a man while being sophisticated enough for a woman. Enjoy the smooth ride on all terrain types. I love this truck. There's none like it! I'm SOLD!!!
All that you will ever need in a small truck.
I bought the Santa Cruz just to transport my Honda Groms around. Amazingly I can fit two Groms side by side with the tailgate down. Once more the truck drive like a car. The interior is futuristic and everything you need is at your finger tips. Cordless Apple play. Meaning you don’t need a cable to use your IPhone in the vehicle. It even has a cordless charger for your phone. All the bells and whistles with lane assist Back up camera Sun roof and a lockable bed cover. I love this truck or Sport Adventure Vehicle is what they calling it. Absolutely have no complaints.

17,000 miles on the Santa Cruz!
Love the way it handles. Limited AWD. New Transmission at 15,000. Recall. They did a software update and I started having issues shifting. Took it in and they decided to replace transmission. Be great since then. Back seat can be a little stiff for long distance drive. Touch screen works great. All safety features also work well. Love the roll top bed cover. Turbo is very responsive .

Santa Cruz problems
The truck rides great but has already had 3 recalls. I never had a car with this happening in one year. Reasons I don't like it: 1.Blind spots because of the wide drop from "car" to truck mode in the back.2. Electrical components are before cup holders which means if you spill something it could ruin the unit. 3. In less than an year the inside handle started to peel.

Nice smaller adventure vehicle or truck
I chose the SEL with Adventure Package for a value price. Have had it about a month. What I have liked so far: Outstanding ride/handling balance. I have had a F-150, Tundra and Frontier in the past. Note of them rode or drove this well. They all drove and rode like school buses in comparison to the Santa Cruz. Comfortable seats, steering wheel, nice control layout, good very fast electronic displays. Nice small bed and tonneau cover 2.5L base engine is just fine. Acceleration is adequate. Will cruise at 80 mph on the freeway just fine. Would the turbo be more fun, probably, but for the money, this engine will do. Good gas mileage. Plenty of room for front seat passengers, including leg room. Quality feel of interior surfaces. F-150 and Tundra felt cheap by comparison in spots. What I don't like or would change: Ideally could use another couple inches of legroom in the back. The spare tire tools take up about a large portion of underseat storage under the rear seats. Stereo system lacks bass, almost none. It stalled on me once at low speed in a parking lot, have read in forums that a few others have seen this. I hope I don't see this again. Should have center arm rest in rear seats that lowers with cupholders.

Average features, can't justify the price.
Loved the vehicle's stylish body and handling. The deal breaker for me was poor trim levels. Most importantly, the rear air flow vents and rear arm rest. The only way to to get rear vents is with 40k limited trim package. No option for rear arm rest.

fantastic little truck
I just love it. Rides smoother than my car So happy We bought it.
First one - great
This was our 1st of 2 SC. This one has the na engine and reg 8 sp transmission. It’s def slower than our turbo version but it is 100% adequate. Prob will be super reliable without having the DCT. The comfort level is top notch with these seats and all the tech, bells & whistles. Not one issue or concern so far, it has been flawless. They are super practical, we used our other one to bring a washing machine home, and then a refrigerator, that wouldn’t have happened in a traditional suv. I consider this an suv with a bed, that drives with ease and sportiness of a sedan. People often ask to look at this vehicle because is somewhat unusual. I am thrilled with the practicalness of this vehicle while still delivering decent mpg’s and doing so comfortably. The fit and finish are great. I will update here as we go. As of now I highly recommend.

Santa Cruz vs Ridgeline
I decided I wanted to downsize, liked the way the Santa Cruz looked and thought I would give it a try. Two different vehicles for sure. The Pilot and the Tucson are quite different. The Santa Cruz is more catlike and agile like a small suv would be. The Ridgeline rides like the Pilot. Room and comfort reside with the Ridgeline. Agility and sporty feel reside with the Santa Cruz. I enjoy the sportiness but miss the comfort and room.
Amazingly stunning
I like the everything about this amazingly stunning vehicle..

My Santa Cruz(Ruffin)
I saw the Santa Cruz while I was at Kia getting service done I told my husband about it we came back to see it n found out it was sold Kia notified CMA’s Hyundai sale person Alex and he came to Kia parking lot to talked too us. We went to meet him at Hyundai and got the paperwork started. Alex was so helpful and he stayed with us through the whole transaction. Yes, I had to put a holding amount on the Santa Cruz since they only had 3 on the incoming truck. We received the call on Thursday that my Santa Cruz had arrived. We picked it up Friday and sold them our Kia Forte (2019). We was going on our vacation that coming week and hoping that it would be in earlier than what they had said it would be arriving(7-12-22). My husband and I are very happy with the Santa Cruz. We have gotten so many compliments on it from young and older people. We told them where we got it and they was going to check to see if it was at the Norfolk Hyundai Dealership if not they will be checking out CMA’s Hyundai. Alex is an awesome person he kept us informed on everything even gave me the guided tour of how my Santa Cruz operate. He even programmed my 70’s music for me. He went out and beyond to make sure we was happy and knowledgeable on our purchase and we definitely are satisfied. Our trip was enjoyable and it’s so good on gas. Thank you Alex and may you be blessed in all you do.
