Used 2010 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Excellent Value
Was looking to buy a new MB E350 but after test driving both the E350 & Genesis several times, doing alot of research, and for exactly $16k less, traded my '07 MB E350 w/65k miles (our 7th MB) for the 4.6/V-8. Every single aspect of the Genesis, except for the cruise control, exceeds the E350-new or old. The comfort of the seats, cabin noise level, ride, and navi/audio system are standout improvements & were factors that swayed me. My wife has a '10 MB SUV but we prefer the comfort of the Genesis. I drive a lot and hope the integrity, performance, & depreciation of the Genesis stands up to the wear/tear of the miles. Get past the brand issue-appears to be great value in a nice car!
Outstanding Value
I purchased my Genesis 2 mos ago after researching price, quality, and driving experience. I looked at Volvo S80, Buick LaCrosse, and Ford Tauuus Ecoboost. None of them came close to content or price except maybe the Buick. I love the clean lines, quiet ride, and the acceleration of the V-8. I have 2000 miles on it and it is great.
Fantastic luxury sedan at a bargain
The Genesis is an incredible vehicle. It exudes luxury, has unbelievable power, and the interior is attractive and comfortable. The 4.6 V8 engine is incredibly powerful and smooth. Cruising at 75 MPH barely touches its potential. The adaptive (radar) cruise control works extremely well. I use it in stop- and-go traffic on 2-lane roads going into work. Navigation and voice control systems work well. Visual display is large and easy to see. Backup camera is great. My iPhone pairs with system using Bluetooth. This is an incredible car priced about $25k less then comparable cars like BMW 550i. Don't buy a luxury sedan until you've driven a Genesis.
Outstanding Automobile!
It's been 6 weeks since we bought our 4.6 w/Tech in Titanium/Black and it is still amazing! Drove many cars - 2011 BMW 535/550/335, Merc E350/550, 2011 Infiniti M37 and 2010 G37, 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, Genesis V6, and a few others - but kept coming back to the Genesis V8. Beautifully executed exterior, superior attention to detail everywhere, flawless drive train, and uncompromising power. Like some others, I too have gone over this car and cannot find any flaws in its assembly. It is not perfect but it is a beautifully made automobile and very rewarding to own. An astonishing value for the 38K I paid for it - well worth the money. I would buy it again if I had the choice.
Looking for excuses to drive it.
I've always disliked taking "Sunday Drives" in cars just to drive around for no reason. After buying my Genesis though, I'm actually looking for excuses to take it out and drive it. It is the first vehicle I've owned, and I've been driving for over 40 years, that I actually want to take out and drive around for no reason other than the sheer joy of driving it! The 4.6 is responsive and quiet. The interior is roomy and the leather seats are buttery soft and comfortable. The brakes have excellent stopping power. The ride is firm but not uncomfortable. I love the trunk space I have in this car too.
