Hyundae did it again
Purchased the 2021 Elantra SLE one year ago. have 17,000 miles now. Smooth ride, fun to drive and averaging 40 miles a gallon. Plenty of room inside for 4 adults. Great safety features. Free oil changes for 36,000 miles are great.

Died within a month
Bought a Brand New Elantra 2021 Essential, died within the month. Car dies during start up and has been sitting in the dealership for 3 months. Terrible service from the dealer and from Hyundai. Would avoid the car, comes with terrible service from dealerships and a terrible manufacturer in Hyundai.

Regret the whole thing
Purchased a 2021 Elantra from Hyundai and within 2 weeks, had problems with the car shaking and check engine light came on. Took it in and they said it was bad gas but never syphoned it and ended up having to bring it back two more times. Turns out there were several misfires and then they really did nothing when I brought it in the 3rd time and it sat there for a day and a half. I brought the car home since the dealership wasn’t working to help and they wouldn’t do a collateral swap and tonight, the engine started starting up on its own so we parked it far from the house with the hood popped open so it wouldn’t start up and if it did it wouldn’t catch the house on fire.

Great model
I love the shape and style of the new Elantra’s. They have more of a sporty look. Some models have a bar or handle that goes in the middle of the front seats. My dad who is a bigger man didn’t like it as a passenger but said it acted like a second “oh crap” handle. Overall I love the car and the gas mileage is great
