My 2nd elantra
replaced our 2017 Elantra limited with the 2019 Elantra limited.both great gas mileage, very reliable, great controls.pickup is okay, ride and handling very good.the 19 has a nicer interior and more comfortable seats.the 19 seems a little quieter.has a heated steering wheel and better safety features.for the price it is a great value, and very inexpensive maintenance.within the compact class of cars the Elantra should be a strong contender.

Great car! Very affortable, comfortable, strong!!
When I buy a car, I spend at least 1-2 weeks everyday searching, test driving and reading reviews before I buy. I never gave Hyundai a thought until I drove one. Their quality, looks, design, options are so much better now than 10 years ago. WOW is all I can say. The 2019 is very nice. I love the new body trims, style and features. The 2019 is way different than the 2018. I test drove both and I bought the 2019 Elantra SEL. For the money you get a great reasonable price car. I was shocked to find the insurance very low on these as well. I always get insurance quotes before I buy a car, that is huge. The warranty was another factor why I bought this car. No one can beat the warranties on this car. This car ride is very smooth and powerful. It has three modes: ECO, SMART and SPORT!! I love them all. The sport mode is awesome!! It has so much power to it. I am getting 36-37MPG combined city and Highway. I drive 85% highway. I dropped in a K&N Filter and now I get 38MPG. The car seats are sport seats and are good quality. They hug you where you need it. Overall, I like the features of this car. Everything in the cabin is positioned at arm’s length. That's a plus. It has a lot of upgraded options for an excellent price. I bought this car before the 4 Hyundai rebates ended. I even got this car for Invoice price before the rebates. That is why I bought it. Who wouldn't buy it if you get some much off. The trick is to buy a car 1-2 days before the end of the month. The dealers want to increase their car sales. That is where you get the best price!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HYUNDAI TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING. THESE ARE FUN TO DRIVE AS WELL AS BEING VERY REALIABLE. Pros Great Price for the 2019 cars! Great gas mileage Smooth ride Awesome modes: SPORT, ECO and SMART!! Great Quality in seats. They huge you like sport seats Nice quiet engine Comfortable cabin with buttons all at arms reach

Very good car for the price. Lots of technology and safety features - in fact I have to turn some off since I am used to not having so much! I do love the radars when backing up, and the collision avoidance system is amazing. The heated seats are really nice and comfortable. Mine is an metallic pearl white with beige interior. You have to be careful as the interior plastic scratches easily, so watch the door scuffs getting in and out of the car, they are hard to remove. The same goes for the other plastic surfaces, but most cares these days are the same. The hands free automatic trunk is roomy with cargo net and dual sided mat with full size spare tire. Be careful with the paint at the car wash around the bottom of the car. The powerful water jet was so strong it took off a small section of the rock guard and paint which had to be repaired. Hand clean only or use the brush at the car wash! The engine is powerful once you learn how to use it. Its designed for high MPG, so there is trade off for raw power. Most of the time I get all the power I need, you have to discover the powerbands. Trust me, the power is there especially on the freeway.

4 for 4 is Batting 1,000!
Shortly before retiring to FL in 2004, we purchased a new Sonata which gave us some 90K miles and was one of the most comfortable and certainly the most reliable car I had ever owned, more so than of the various Detroit products I had owned during the preceding 45 years. We then purchased a very low mileage used 2008 Accent, another great Hyundai product but, because of changing family circumstances, we gifted that to our daughter in MI and it is still her reliable daily carrier (and it replaced her own 2003 Accent). In 2013, traded the Sonata for a new Elantra, and for some 6 years, it outshone the Sonata. And I am now the proud owner of a 2019 Elantra with more bells & whistles than I can yet deal with, including leather seating. While they may not quite compare with my 1989 Chrysler New Yorker with "pure Corinthian leather" (the best seating that Detroit ever produced!), they all I could ask for. As a "test drive", I made my annual road trips to Ann Arbor, MI and again to Athens, GA during the month of June, putting some 3,500 trouble-free and most enjoyable miles on the new car; maintained a near-steady 43 MPG up and down I-75; made great use of my Sirius XM radio, as well as my plug & play MP-3 player and a small, single-disc plug & play CD player and my Android Auto navigation system, all of which added greatly to the trips. What with my advancing age, this may well be the last new car I will ever buy, but all I can say is that I was so pleased to discover the line of Hyundais those 15 years ago! Incidentally, all of the reviews by Consumer Reports )my "bible" for most purchases) seem to bear out my observations and conclusions.

Elantra SE
Ok, so I didn't buy an Elantra, but I just rented one for a week. We drove it from San Francisco to Yosemite, Tahoe, northern California and back to SF. 2,000 miles in six days - through some of the scariest roads I've ever been on. This little car rocked. It was steady and solid. It never once felt overwhelmed. From climbing 9% grades for miles at 101° with four people and I aboard with all our gear. Our SE model was simple and basic but it was definitely up to our challenge. What really impressed me was the 40+ mpg we got for the the overall trip. Very impressed with this little car!

Great Value with Excellent Safety Features
If you want great safety features that are hard to find in other brands unless you move up into higher level models and higher prices. The gas mileage is super as is the 100,000 mile warranty. The value for what I paid to drive the car off the dealer's lot was just great! I am super happy with all aspects of the car. Prior to purchasing this 2019 SEL I had a 2013 Elantra GLS for six years and it never gave me any maintenance problems. Hard for me to believe but I paid more for the 2013 than I did not the 2019 that has many more features such as blind side monitoring, rear camera, lane control, etc.

Loving my 2019 Hyundai Elantra
I got my Elantra in August 2019. I had a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and wanted to downsize because I have no kids. Love the body style of this car. It looks very sharp. I got the Value Edition that comes with a sunroof and got leather added in it. It says in the review it's a lack luster engine but I am impressed with the Sport mode that gives this car a definite pick up and go! Love the gas per mileage and of course it has the best warranty in America. If you are looking for a dependable vehicle with low gas per mileage, nice safety features (I got a discount in insurance because of them), and sleek looks then go for this ride. You will think it's a keeper.

Simple, and easy making driving enjoyable 😀
This car fits for anyone who is looking for a car good on gas, easy handling . Very nice interior inside and Crispy cold air conditioning. I love how it picks up when accelerating just enough. I feel that it is easy to see all angles for safety. When I drive it I have full control and that makes me comfortable 😊
A fun, daily commuter!
My second Hyundai, I had a Sonata Limited before this. When my daily commute went from 50 miles down to 15, I wanted to downsize from the Sonata (120,000 miles on it). In April of 2019 the Elantra had some nice rebates going, so I pounced on a Sport model with the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The DCT seems a bit confused taking off from a stop. However with only 201 HP, it's not like I'm doing a lot of drag racing. Once you get rolling, the transmission and suspension start to shine. Shifts are quick and well spaced. The handling is superb. The rear anti-sway bar has been bumped up from 15mm to 17mm for the 2019, and it shows. Cornering is very flat and neutral with only the slightest hint of push at the limits. For 4-season tires, they have quite a bit of grip. I may take it auto-crossing for a some weekend fun. I found out the 19mm rear anti-sway bar from the Veloster N will bolt right on. Been averaging 28.5 mpg in my commute, and I'm not too shy with the gas pedal.

All I can say is WOW!!!
Everything from the seats, style, color, etc is EXACTLY what I was looking for. This vehicle rides very smooth and in California helps the pocket book with the gas mileage. The truck space is surprisingly large as well and love the clarity of the backup camera. Really missed not having a elantra and decided to buy one from Danns Discount Auto Sales in Tulare California!
Solid and Ultra-Eco
Rented one on Kona during Thanksgiving. Roomy, predictable, solid, intuitive...and on an island with a 55mph max speed, averaged 50 mpg!

Owned three, this is the best one yet
From the 2013 to 2017 and now the 2019 this is the best one yet. The new style is terrific. The updated interior is above par when compared to the same model level on the Honda Civic that I test drove. I love the Smart drive mode. I drive a lot for work and when on local streets or getting onto the highway, when I accelerate the car really takes off. Gas mileage is very good which keeps my boss happy. The safety features, including the lane assist are very good, but at times annoying, so I do turn some features on and off (front camera lane assist beeps too often for me) depending on my driving needs. The only negative and for me it was not a game changer, I do miss the lid that was on the center tray where my USB phone cord is plugged in. It was nice to throw my house keys in there and hide my phone cable. I have since made my own. This is my third lease and am extremely happy with the 2019

It's just ok
My beloved 2010 Elantra Blue was totaled at a red light by an uninsured motorist. It was a great car and I miss it. I was desperate for a quick replacement. Oct.2021 was a terrible market to buy. Prices were high and selection was poor. I bought a low miles Elantra SEL. The 2019 model is bigger and more complicated than my 2010. First problem was a Hyundai campaign to repair a problem with the halogen headlights. They told me it was recall. It was actually an internal service campaign. You have to take the front bumper off to access the headlights. They did not replace the headlights. The factory repair is to drill half inch hole in the assembly box and secure the internal high beam switch. They should have replaced the headlights and I regret letting them do invasive procedure. Sure hope I never have to replace a bulb. The design restricting access is just crazy. Owners no longer can change a bulb. There's also a front end noise on right turns. It may be hard to diagnose. Dealer is not eager to tackle it. They started by telling me what they would not do to find the problem. They are not interested in intermittent noises. Hyundai is just not the company that worked so hard to build the brand. I have second thoughts about the purchase.

Awesome car! Very reliable. Great gas mileage.
I researched cars for 6 months and bought this one at a great deal. $500 over car dealer invoice. They showed me the invoice. I have had this car for 4 years and I love it. I put 4,500 miles on it since I bought it new. This car is very good. The best in its class. You get so much with this car for a cheap price. I baby my car and wax it every 6 months. I added LED headlights and it makes it look like a 2023 car. I make sure I park it in a garage every night to protect the paint. I love how quiet and smooth it rides. The engine is very smooth as well. I only use full synthetic oil which makes a huge difference. I also always use mid grade gasoline. I change my oil every year no matter what. The trunk is huge. My car still smells new even after 4 years. I’m glad I bought this car. I have no regrets at all. Hyundai really impresses me with their cars. The warranty is awesome. 10 year 100,000 miles. No one gives you that. Overall I highly recommend this car.

1 year ownership
nope. no more hyundai's for me. overall quality of this 2019 model is mediocre at best. with dealer support being the worst of it and arguing to avoid warranty claims at every turn. I had a broken signal wire that had NO SIGNS of rodent damage and dealer claims it was rodent damage. Let it be known wire was not secured and had lots of swing and free travel. The fuel economy is not too bad but can do better. Engine after last ECM update does all sorts of weird things and does not sound the same as it did when i purchased the vehicle. In regard to the ECM update matters, this seems to be becoming a regular thing at the dealer almost as if hyundai NEVER tested the finished product but rather just rushed to the sales floor, more or less it works, sell them.

Wont heat at idle
Car worked great when bought jan 2019 heated up in less than 10 minutes toast car. Fast forward 9000 miles and only heats when idled up. No hot air at idle ac compressor not cycling and dealer has no idea how to fix. Pos car and I'm stuck with a car that cant even defrost windows in 36degree weather and winter has just started.

My new car
I love it!!!
Nice little car
It is small. Not easy to be seen with all the trucks and SUVs out there. But I did not want a gas guzzler. I needed a newer car, had not purchased brand new since 1994. Last car was 06 Grand Prix. Pick up is pretty good for a 2.0 4 cyl. Cars have come a long way. Lots of tech and gadgets that may break down? Will see if cheaper to run than used. I hope warranty is worth it. Update. 10/21. Wire to passenger front directional snapped, got up into wheel well and spliced it. Never had that on any other car, but easy fix. 11/1/22 now at 23500 mi. No problems. Just one new tire. Oil changes. Very economical. 5/1/23. 25k. Just oil change. No problems. Good pickup, use sport mode. Turn off at 35, 40 mph. New tires and oil changes. That's it.. This does not Have CVT transmission. 5.2024. 5 year, 30 k. Mi. Only oil chg. Filters and new tires so far. All good.

Hyundai Elantra dream
Hyundai Elantra 2019 is such a beautiful car. Thanks to Mr Ramadan for making my dream come true and getting me into the car I wanted. It drives really nice. Thanks and highly give to Ramadan and all the team at UCN. Would recommend to everyone I know.
It's fine but, it's no Honda
Hyundai uses 'B' parts Honda uses 'A' parts. Meaning it's wears down earlier than a Honda. When it comes time to replace a Honda you do because you're tired of it. With the Hyundai you do it because you're forced to.
Car has plenty of pep
Most professional reviews seem to expect sub 5 sec 0 to 60 on everything. I feel this car has plenty of pep for what it is designed to do. Comfortable and fun to drive. All the right bells and whistles for its class. Great value.

Poor Quality vehicle
Cheap made and it doesn't last long. I bought it because the dealership said that it was the only vehicle that I qualified for out of the whole lot. Yes it good on gas but the headaches that I have had with the vehicle it out weighs the good.
Never Again
I own a 2019 hyundai elantra. Bought new. This is my second hyundai and Im not only sorry I gave this company a second chance but Im embarrassed. My first Hyundai, a sonata was preowned certified car from my hyundai dealership. I had nothing but problems with that first car. I finally let it go to the big junk yard grave. Even after swearing to never have another hyundai I, against everything that I had to deal with the first one bought a 2019 hyundai elantra. So heres my take. The reason I gave 2 stars is that its good on gas. And thats pretty much it folks! The seats are the most uncomfortable of any car Ive ever sat. Its loud. The ride is not smooth despite high end tires. I have approx 50k miles on it and have already had the steering column replaced and now the gas door wont open so it’ll need to be serviced for that. In addition, my radio will come on randomly while driving. Sometimes the display screen is black when starting the car and I have to turn the car off and open the door and restart the engine to make it come back on. Of course when taking to hyundai dealership the standard answer is “we are not able to replicate your problem. Save yourself time trouble and issues by driving past your local hyundai dealership. There are much better options. Dont forget Kia is a sister Co. They are no better, if not worse.

Broken in twice in one year
The only reason this vehicle is still in my possession is because it has a manual transmission. Both times, the thieves failed to get the car moving. I've had to pay for three broken side door windows and a busted steering column. Hyundai's new free software update did nothing to prevent carjackers from breaking my windows and steering column. $1200 in parts and labor could have been saved if I had chosen a different manufacturer that did not try to nickle and dime their customers. For all the money spent on legal settlements, they could have just slightly raised the MSRP and added an engine immobilizer. If it hadn't been for the settlement, new buyers would still be paying $170 for practically the same software "upgrade." It's just insulting for a carmaker to take advantage of customers that trusted their vehicles in such a way. I am never buying, leasing or renting a Hyundai or Kia again for these reasons, no matter how great the car might be otherwise. Their schemes to cut costs and avoid paying up for their shortcomings has discouraged from ever working with Hyundai/Kia again. Besides the anti theft measures, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra is an okay vehicle, which doesn't matter if it keeps getting stolen, because it's easy to steal. The engine is reliable and you get your money's worth. Just note that the suspension is very rough and uncomfortable.

What do I think of the 2019 Elantra
I would rather drive an old truck thats missing its suspension. This car is DULL. The "Sport" modes are about as responsive as a toaster. out of the sport setting the car gets even worse. The lane assist, while it does its job is Tesla wannabe in the active assist mode. The interior plastics are cheaper than a dollar store toy. there is plenty of fake carbon fiber and the like, because "its a sports car". Bull. the infotainment system is the only redeeming feature. Its responsive and works well, unlike the suspension and steering, which causes the whole car to sway side to sway if you turn the wheel to quick. Over all if you hate driving and dont care about the feel of a car, get this one.
