Used 2013 Hyundai Elantra Consumer Reviews
Fun to drive and very efficient too!
We've owned our Elantra for a year now and we love driving it daily. It's sporty and very quick to respond to sudden turns and stops. We dropped from a Honda Accord to this car and at first were worried about the size, but after a few days, we quickly feel in love with it. The savings on gas is amazing, the trunk space is massive and at 6'2" tall, I have plenty of leg and head room in either the driver or passenger seat. It handles well in all weather conditions and is super quiet. We haven't had any issues and never mind taking it in for an oil change with inspection since the warranty is so extensive. I recommend this car to anyone needing a solid, dependable vehicle.
WOW, What a GREAT car!
After 4 weeks, and 1500+ miles, we are very happy! We bought from Earnhardt Hyundai in Scottsdale, AZ. Carl gave us a super deal, and we didn't have any of the normal games that dealers like to play. It was FUN buying the Elantra. We bought at the end of the month!!We get the 29/40 mpg and more! It takes common sense, and a conservative driving style. We bought a steel wheel and full size tire for a spare from Discount Tire for less than $150. A jack, lug wrench, and spare tie down at a salvage yard for $12. There is plenty of room for the full size spare! We drive up steep mountain grades at freeway speeds with no problem.

Too Loud and Although Mostly City MPG Averages 28/30
Hi! You're probably getting ready to upgrade or make that big purchase for the first time. As a new Hyundai owner I don't recommend the Elantra or any Hyundai because of the noise (you can hear the engine when you hit the gas), it doesn't get that great of gas mileage (always look at the bottom city number and think that most of the time), the way it wears (I'm worried how it will feel in a couple years), the weird policy of Hyundai to replace things rather than make them good in the beginning, no spare tire, etc.
Elegant Elantra for featherfooters
Worst feature, you'll have to dump 3 gears before you finally get Elantra to go. Poor rear suspension. Beware of potholes, & rear wheel skip! Comfortable, less so with lots of weight. Elantra is the best looking car in 20 years, inside & out! Using ethanol-free gasoline & careful driving, accurately AVERAGED 39+mpg (high-43mpg), May thru early December, Seattle weather. Presently, with cold & winter blend gasoline, its dropped to 38mpg. Should still be above my hoped for 35-36mpg after the first year. Elantra has lots of road & tire noise, but very quiet on "experimental quiet pavement". Widest rear seat shoulder width of any car getting nearly 40mpg. 100%, no problems.
Great car
Minor electronic problems. 24 mpg.
