Elantras still a great car for our family
Our Elantra is still looking great and drives like it's new. No repairs since we bought it new in 2013 and have only had to replace the tires once. Gas mileage is still excellent.

What a dissappointment
At first we loved the car but noticed the MPG was not as described. The 1st month we had it the breaks had to be replaced because of a noise they made. Next the tires were horrible loud. After that it has gone down hill, the car shakes horrible at stop lights (while in gear) and we have had a knocking noise from the motor. Taking to the dealer several times we left with nothing done. Finally I recorded the sound and took it back where they said there was metal in my oil and they would replace the motor.. This was at 24,000 miles... New motor is now making the same noise (1,000miles later) Hyundai's answer swap motor out AGAIN. Is anyone else having these same issues???

Second time Elantra owner.
Just traded our 2010 Elantra. Why ?Why not. new style new color . and the best fact we liked our last Elantra . The dealership and I dont say this much but, they made it work. really. we only had 35,500 miles on last car ,gave us great trade in . and in the end walked into new car as if it was nothing. trade in covered loan ,payment stayed the same .. But most of all we liked the service ,and also the car .. the 2010 was a big question mark for us . our first hyundai. We owned Honda, toyota , many times over the years . But this elantra . These two Elantras are the best bang for the buck. saved alot of money . The 2013 is no question a nicer car.
Don't buy a Hyundai
Hyundai is making defective vehicles that destroy tires. They will not acknowledge the defect. A few customers have been lucky and had their rear axles replaced at no cost, but most customers will just be told nothing is wrong and it must be the way they are driving or some other nonsense. I have 40k miles and have gone through 3 sets of tires on the rear. The set I have on now cupped badly within 5k miles and makes the car vibrate and very noisy. Both the dealership and the company will not acknowledge or fix the problem. Do your research before you buy this car. You will see there are many people having problems with rear tire wear/ handling/ noise/ rear axle problems.
just traded in 2013 hyundai elantra
Got rid of the 2013 elantra about 5 years ago...Like most other people I was drawn in by the 10 year warranty...If you purchase a elantra trust me you will be using the warranty....cars radio turned on by itself....brakes were terrible, seats stained easily...stay away...
