Love This Wagon
I have no complaints on this car. I would buy a wagon again. It is a little tight in the back seat for three adults or two kids and a car seat.
Too Good to be True
I bought my Elantra in 2003 with just 38,000 miles on it. I thought I was getting a steal at just $5,000 for a 3 year old car...man it was a steal...stealing my money. In the five years I owned my elantra, I had to replace the engine (due to a bad thermostat), 3 different water pumps, power steering pump, alternator, and I had 3 of the power windows stop working. I fixed the driver's side door for a nice $500 chunk of change. I decided the rest weren't worth it. Gas mileage steadily declined from a nice 34 to around 20
Will Miss My Hyundai
I have had my Elantra for 3 yrs. This past week I was in an accident, I was hit almost directly head on. My airbags deployed perfectly and immediately, my seat belt held firm. My Elantra is totaled but I walked away from the accident with only bruises from my safety equiptment. I am definitely buying another.
Very Satisfied
Overall I LOVE this car. Have it only 9 months but trading in for a Chrysler Sebring Convertible. I'm a bit nervous cause this car is very reliable, great on gas. I'm not nervous to travel alone (i'm female) Not afraid of breaking down. It only had 25M (11/01) now has 28M (8/02)
Great for a lil beater
I bought this car to commute to work .. I live in upstate NY and commute to westchester, NYC and Long Island for work depending on the day. This car is great. Shifts smooth [ I got the 5spd ] I have 232,789 miles on it and it runs like it is brand new .. Everything works [ pw, pl, and mechanical ]. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. Fun little car to drive. Although it could be easier on the eyes.
