Used 2001 Honda S2000 Consumer Reviews
Awesome toy
This is my 2nd car, so complaints like, weak stero and lack of passenger/trunk space, don't really apply for me. I wanted a classic sports car(convertible, rear-wheel drive, great handling, light weight, great power-to-weight ratio and good looks) and I got it without paying stupid money. Great 2nd car!!!
Take a holiday... after work.
The s2000 packs a punch. 240hp power this light weight roadster (go-kart) from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. This car is for those who truly love driving. I have owned this car for close to a year and though it's price matches that of the BMW z3... The performance of the z3 does not even come close to the s2000's. Test drive it, that is if you can get your hands on one of these rare beauties.

driving
I agree with almost all of the descriptions of this car, except one: You can take this car on a long trip. I took it on a 1,500 mile trip this summer (the trunk fit luggage for two) and never got tired of the long drive. With the top down, wind blowing, enginge roaring, tach sweeping over 6,500, who cares that the stereo needs to be improved and the rear view is plastic.
Dream to drive!!
The S2000 is by far the best sports car in it's class. Compared to the Porsche Boxter, BMW Z3, etc.. the S2000 out performs them on the road as well as in the pocket book. You are truly buying a car that performs and sounds like a Formula One racer. It's a true sports car! For those who want a glass rear window, buy a Miata or a Mustang. Those are not true sports cars! For those who want wood grain on the dashboard, go buy a Lexus or an Audi TT. Those are not sports cars! I love the car and all it stands for. Go buy one and you can honestly say that you are living life for the moment.
S2000
After the initial 1500 miles the engine gained noticable horsepower every 500 miles. Finally around 3500 miles the engine was free revving and much easier to rev up throughout the gears. The suspension specially the shocks are about 5-10% softer than the inital days. Overall the car is much more competitive than its early days.
