Leaking Back of Minivan

I did my research on all cars before buying this. Everyone said to stay away from years 2018-2021 due to water leaking issue into back panel and tailgate. I bought a Certified, 2022 model thinking I was avoiding that issue with the year. Within a few months of having it, the back tailgate stopped working, wouldn’t open. I took it to Honda two different times and they say warranty won’t cover because it’s a cosmetic issue. Cost $800 to fix the wire board that was fried from water that was coming into my car. I pulled the carpet up in the trunk because I kept smelling a musty smell and sure enough there is standing water in the whole bottom of the trunk. The cosmetic issue occurred in the Honda factory due to a faulty silicone that was used and it cracks over the years catching the leaks in the 18-21 models. Well apparently even though mine was a 2022, it was manufactured in May of 2021 and called a 2022 so now even after all the research I have a leaking certified van that Honda REFUSES to fix under warranty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

So far this car have met my expectations and I am enjoying the drive as well. Electronics on this thing are amazing. I just have to see how this car performs in long run that time will tell. With so much electronics onboard, any small component failing will be an expensive repair.

I love my minivan, I learn weekly how dependable this vehicle is. My family loves our dependable travel vehicle with all the bells and whistles
