Used 2010 Honda Insight Consumer Reviews
Clear Choice for Commuter
I was driving Chevy Suburban daily for the last several years. With a recent job change, I was spending close to $500 in gas every month. That had to stop. After reading reviews on Prius and Insight, it was pretty clear that I needed Insight. Bought EX model in the middle of June 2010, and I have no regret at all and love driving it. My weekly gas bill is mere $20. Even with my monthly lease payment, I am spending less money every month. The quality is great, and the console is well thought out.
A decent compromise
The 2010 Insight is a decent compromise for the money. It is a good second or commuter-only car, provided your other car can carry all of the people and junk in your life. Despite having 4 doors, it is really a 2 seater car with room for 5 year old children occasionally. Most of the complaints (modest acceleration, engine noise, small back seat, blind spots, road noise, A/C shuts off at stoplights, short seat cushions, etc.) are true, but not unexpected for a small, inexpensive commuter hybrid. If you want a solid little commuter with its associated compromises, it is a solid choice.

Going green
I traded in a 1994 Toyota 4 runner with 227,000 mile on it in the cash for clunkers deal. I was getting about 13-15 MPG on the 4 runner and my first tank on the Insight got 41. That was driving around town and now I get about 45-47. I think the car looks good and I love the Clear blue sky metallic paint. It lacks off the line power but I got that out of my system with my Porsche 911. The car has plenty of power to get on the freeway and smoothly gets up to 65-70 MPH. The handling is nice and sportier than I thought it would be. It is comfortable and very quiet.
2010 Honda Review
Have driven 7,000 miles. Insight is well built and has the tight suspension of a sports car. Not plush but a fun car to drive. Mileage is excellent at 42-53 mpg. Impressive technology with good information display.
great car!
Have enjoyed getting to know my Insight having driven for it almost a year now. Mileage is terrific - colder weather was around 40 mpg and with weather warming up i am now getting 44-45. can't beat that. headlights could be improved - needs broader area of light. also the split back window, while a beautiful design, is a little odd for seeing out back and backing up. overall, a great car with a great ride. the added leather interior is a nice upgrade!
