Love it!
Thousands less than the Prius and comparable mpg. Plus, it seems like everybody and their brother drives a Prius these days! I like having a car that's not ubiquitous. It's fun to drive, and I am getting around 50 mpg. I am very happy with my Insight!
New Insight Owner
I've never owned a new car, and also didn't think I'd really be able to afford a hybrid anytime soon. However, the Honda Insight is a very comfortable and response gas-saver, and the features are incredibly well done. This is a very affordable ride for your normal commuter, and in going through my 90+ miles/day, I have to say the 2010 Insight is fantastic.

Great Car So Far
I have driven my Insight about 250 miles in Los Angeles (combined city/highway, hills, etc) and so far have averaged about 37 mpg. Not too bad at all. It's a pretty smooth ride, though I wasn't prepared for how much the Econ feature would take away from my A/C when I was stopped at a light and it was about 98 degrees outside (that's the price paid for running on battery power alone, which is what happens when you stop with the Econ on). Getting on the highway is a strain, but of course that is little surprise for this size engine. The instrument console is the least satisfying aspect of the vehicle, but the positive aspects make it well worth it.
Fun To Drive!
The driving experience is very engaging thanks to a well designed informative display, and crisp responsive handling. If you are transitioning from a manual, the paddle shifters, tach and detailed display make driving just as interesting. Eco feedback is a good feature, 48 MPG so far after 500 miles of an even mix of highway/city. CVT shifting is smooth and braking is natural. Seats are comfortable and inner room is great for a car of its size, 5'10 friend could sit comfortably in rear. For me this car beat the Prius on style, interior design and the peppy driving feel, the lower price was just a bonus.
Love this car
Such excellent mileage. I get easily 47 MPG in city and freeway combined. Price over mileage is excellent.
