Used 2006 Honda Element Consumer Reviews
1 Yr Honda Element Ownership
I purchased a 2006 Element in Jan. 2006. I traded it in at the end of Dec. 2006. I bought it for big interior space and good fuel economy. How these folks can give this suv a 9-10 rating is beyond me. They must have great stereos. Engine: Fine on flat roads, uphill a struggle. Trans: Shifts smooth except uphill. Windnoise: Moderate. Roadnoise: High. Fuel Economy (Note: 2WD Auto): When I got the car average 24-25, City 23 Freeway 21. By the time I unloaded it 20-21 average, City 17-18, Hwy 19-20. Rattles: Lots. As I fixed 1 another one arrived. Body Panels: Horrible seam alignment. Ride Quality: Civic grade. Cheap. Body Sway: Enough to want to barf. Honda Service: Utter GARBAGE. Overpriced.
ELEMENTal Excellence
I you are an active person, live life out of your vehicle, this is the one for you. I used to own a pickup truck to carry my gear (bike, climbing, camping, scuba equipment). It worked fine; but with the Element, packing and unpacking is done is a third of the time it took for my pickup. It is amazing how much space this little SUV has. With all of the safety features, the easy (and I mean really easy) clean-up floors and seats, it is perfect for the active lifestyle.

Great Vehicle!
Highly recommend. Love the interior design and comfort. A little rough on the bumps, but overall, a nice ride. Have over 10K miles and have had no problems.
Love My 3rd Honda
I am not someone who really cares about what I drive but I am PASSIONATE about this care. It is so fun to drive. I gave her my civic with over 15I have had two civics and loved them both. I decided to trade up to the Element when my daughter needed a car. She is about to give that civic with 230K miles to my younger daughter and buy her own Element. I bought my first Honda because I have friends who drove their Honda's over 200K and the interiors still looked good and they had no real mechanical porblems. I LOVE my Element. It is great for carrying people or stuff. Everyone that rides in it loves it. This is the a car that I will keep for 10 years or more. Great traction and smooth ride.
Where were you all my life
I have been thru at least 6 diferent SUV's trying to find the perfect car for my, work, dogs, and camping trips. The 1990 Trooper came close, but this car is perfect. The dogs love it, I love it, and my lead foot loves it. Took it to the snow at Brian Head, Utah. AWD works great. Had chains, didn't use them, and climbed those 12,000 feet mountains like a regular mountain goat. Next trip Glacier national park. Like the seat in 2007 more, since seat belt is conected to seat and not door post.
