Used 2018 Honda CR-V Touring 4dr SUV (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT) Consumer Reviews
CRV Touring
Didn't plan on getting the Touring Model but my wife liked the black inserts on the wheels, rear exhaust tips, and headlights better. Coming from a V6 Accord to this was a bit of a let down on power but the add'l MPG will be worth it. The safety features also take some getting used to. We were driving the other night and the high beams turned on by themselves, didn't know that would happen, but they turned off when an oncoming car appeared. The wife thinks the motor noise is a bit loud on acceleration. Don't buy from Norm Reeves West Covina Honda, they spin that they will match any price after 5 days of sale but will not honor that price unless you get a full contract from another dealer. They have no written policy stating you need a "contract". The only written policy they have is on their website where nothing is listed as "contract".

Class Act!
This small SUV is truly the best of the bunch available right now. It is comfortable, drives well and is pretty economical for an AWD SUV.

Where's the Gas?
After purchasing this CRV I was totally disappointed in myself for not asking about the size of the gas tank. This 2018 CRV has a 12 gallon tank and I've only gotten a range of 300-310 miles from the first three tanks. So, I've yet to obtain the MPG claimed on the sticker 27 city/33 hwy, and with the work I do I can burn a tank of gas in 2 days! Very disappointing to be visiting a gas station every other day! Argh!

Whoops, I've done it again!
I recently purchased a 2018 Honda CR-V, Touring edition. It replaced my 2008 CR-V XL-E which was totaled in a wreck. This car is made so well, that even though our 2008 was totaled, no one had any injuries. The 2018 Honda I just bought is even better than the 2008. I love the way it handles and navigation is great. It seems larger inside than the 2008 model. I just cannot imagine going to a different product.

2018 Honda CRV issues
I bought the 2018 Honda CRV Touring Model new. I had a 2012 Honda CRV before this model and had no issues with it. Overall I like the car but have had numerous issues with the display going black while driving down the road, or it displays brightness over and over and goes black. While driving I have had messages such as "Anti Theft System This system has lost power. Push and hold the power button for more than two seconds to enable the system". If it's raining and I'm on the interstate I get the message "Some driver assist systems cannot operate. Radar Obstructed." Those are just a few examples of messages I get while driving the car. If you are depending on the display while you drive for maps and the screen goes black it's a bit scary. The dealer can only fix the issues if they are happening when you drive into the dealership for repairs while the issue is going on. These issues will eventually cause me to get rid of the Honda CRV and get something different. Update: My car is now 5 years old. At 60,000 miles my check engine light came on. The car repair place replaced the spark plugs. That didn't fix the problem. They diagnosed the problem as Air Fuel Ratio Imbalance. They replaced the manifold gasket and the fuel injectors. Very expensive repair but it seems to have fixed the issue. I have spoken to other Honda CRV owners and they haven't had these issues. I have over 70,000 miles on it. I'm still thinking I will not buy another Honda although my car is running fine now. Yesterday I was driving on the interstate and my car started beeping and I got a message Road Departure Mitigation System Problem. Several lights were lit up like Brake System, pictures of the car not in the lanes, and another picture I can't identify. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on and the warning went away. I was using cruise control when I got the messages so I didn't use it the rest of the trip. I don't have Road Departure feature turned on and have never had it turned on. Aug 2024 my 2018 Honda CRV has about 90,000 miles on it. I just got on the interstate when it started shaking, slowing down and cycling through every message available. I pulled to service road and turn car off and back on a couple of times. That didn't work. I road the service lane at a very slow pace because the car had no pickup and had it towed to a Honda dealership. Turns out it was the Ignition coil assembly for about $300. I lucked out because this Honda dealership replaced the safety recall of the fuel pump. Other Honda dealers said they wouldn't do it unless I brought it in, paid the $150 for them to diagnose and only if the correct code came up would they replace it. Bottom line I still have the Honda CRV. I haven't decided if I am getting rid of it at this point or not.
