Del Sol VTEC

I've owned a black Del Sol VTEC for 3 years and it's the best car I've ever owned. It looks different from everything on the road, and it turns heads when I pop the roof into the trunk in less than a minute. Mine has some rust, but everything else is in pristine condition. I love this car. The trunk space is big for something so small (even with the roof inside of it), and the interior has plenty of room for a 6' tall guy like me. The kick that the VTEC gives is great, and the revving the engine to 8,200 rpm redline is the best feeling with other people around (with redlines at 6,000 that END at 8,000). The radio is hidden geniously. This car is amazing and I would never own anything else.

Reliable but wimpy.

It's light, corners well for such an imbalanced weight distribution, and is otherwise a fabulous piece of machinery. The paint does chip easily, especially evident in the hood and front fenders. The rubber seals around the doors and roof seem to slowly start dissolving at about 4 years of age, but no leaking yet. The speakers are adequate, but the included stereo is the first thing to replace though. A name-brand under-200 dollar CD/radio has been a great improvement. Very impressive reliability record. A more stylish commuter car than the CRX or *ick* Geo, and more efficient than taking the family car.

A great little car. I got mine with 109000 on it and haven't had any problems. Make sure if you are past 90k to get the timing belt replaced and this will run forever. After a few mods they are VERY quick. Fun to drive, especially in the summer. Just get some nice tires on it and it handles like a DREAM. Not much low end torque, but around 4-5k RPM it gets pretty wild. If you have a family and need lots of room, don't buy this as a daily driver. But if you are single and don't need much space, this is a wonderful car.

I've owned about 11 different cars in my 40 years, and this is the only one that I've never gotten tired of hopping into (and I've had it for 8 years). I've had almost 0 problems with it, it runs like a sewing machine (just change the oil), and I'm still getting 31mpg (highway). Women and children love it! (I still get compliments routinely when I drive it). I'll never sell this car.
