May be my last Honda

I bought my 2014 Honda Accord EX-L used with 59,000 miles on it on 2/26/17. Shortly after I purchased it the back up cam started freezing and or clacking out once a week. I would put the car in park, shut it off and restart and it would work, up until last week when it went black for good and hasn't went back. Now all I see are the yellow and orange lines. I'm hearing this is a big issue that new accord owners are having with the back up cam but when I called Honda, they said there is nothing they can do to help. I'm at my wits end, has anyone had any luck?

The 2014 is a nice upgrade from my 2003 Accord. The cabin is nicely appointed, and the new technology is fun to use.

The "Eco Mode" can save gas, particularly on the open road. Don't use it in town. It strangles acceleration too much. If you mash the gas pedal it will abruptly disengage and startle you with the abrupt acceleration. I've had it 2 years and the ride is very nice. The V6 gets 25 in town and 28-29 on the highway. This is my third Honda.

Outstanding Drive and Excellent Mileage, but ....

Was very reluctant to purchase another Honda Accord after having engine oil consumption issues with '09 EXL v6. Test drove 2013 Toyota Avalon and was not impressed. Wife loved the ride of the '14 Accord EXL-V6 so we decided to give Honda a second chance. So far, 10K miles, we love the ride and get average 32-34 mpg at 70-75 mph hwy. Just got 38 mpg in 200 mile stretch of North Carolina. Typically get 27-29 mpg combined. Ride is smooth and comfortable. Now the negative. At 7K miles, 1 qt oil low so I added 1 qt 0W20 synthetic. At 9K miles added another 1/2 qt. Maybe this will never pose a serious problem, but I am extremely irritated that we have to keep checking oil periodically!

V6 Fun! Ok Mileage, Crappy Bluetooth Support

Bought a pre-owned 2014 Honda Accord V6 EX-L last week. The good part: The car looks very stylish with LED elements, and the exterior design is timeless and future proof. The V6 acceleration is a lot of fun in a family sedan. Hwy MPG is quite impressive for a v6 at above 30mpg. The perforated leather seats are comfortable and the passenger space is very roomy. There is a lot of soft touch materials used at the right place. The active noise canceling works well for when engine speed is between 1000-3000rpm. | Now onto the quirks: Compared to 8th Gen honda accord which I owned, the storage area on the center console (below AC control), as well as under the arm rest has reduced significantly. The bluetooth works half the time, and when it stops working, you have to turn the car off to restore the BT functionality (it would not take calls or play music after it freezes). Gas mileage in city is always less than 20mpg. The automatic transmission also feels kinda jerky when accelerator is fully pressed. The power doesn't fully kick-in till 2-3 seconds later (after a couple jerks from down-shifting). Overall, I think it's a very fun family sedan to drive around with, but I just wish it can be refined better and iron out those software quirks.
