Used 2002 Honda Accord EX V-6 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Avoid like the plague !
I've owned this car since 2005. I made a quick decision to buy it without doing research. BAD MOVE ! Take 5 mins to look up official recall \ complaints. Anyone who gives this car a good review has limited knowledge and/or experience with cars. The automatic transmission might go down in history for being one of the WORST ever made. Ever notice accords with faded paint ? That's another inherent problem. Some received a cheaper paint and clear coat resulting in the discoloration. If I had taken even 2 mins to research this car I would not have bought it. It's sitting in my garage broken. $2000 to fix transmissin. Not doing it. Rebuilt and refurbished transmissions have same problem

Good Quality Vehicle
The leather is nice and supple, decent leg room but not perfect for tall guys like me 6'5". Decent stereo. Very nice steering wheel controls for the stereo and cruise control. Nice sized trunk for a small car. A couple fo things I would change, door opening width. Only opens to about 45 degrees so makes it difficult to get into and out of at times. Front seat needs to travel aft more. I wasn't too happy with Honda's decision not to contribute to any of the relief effort in NYC or DC. GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler and a couple of others contributed but I read that Honda didn't raise a finger to help even after psoting some of their best sales months to date in the USA during 2001.

02 Accord Coupe EX V6
Got this car on a 2-year lease and regret we didn't just buy it outright. We lease all our cars and always love giving them back to dealership, but not this one, the dealer is going to have to pry the keys out of my deathgrip! (New baby won't let us keep it) The power is pretty good for 200 horsies and an automatic. Great all around car for non-family types; add the suggested improvements below and it would be unbeatable. No wonder you see them everywhere.
Great car with one big issue
This car is great in almost every way the only problem is Honda paired a strong engine with a very week transmission. Other than that its completely reliable starts the first time every time in any weather. great car in bad weather. and beats anything American built around the same time period.

Worst car I've ever owned
21 days in the shop so far for repairs including transmission leak, rough engine idle requiring a valve adjustment and replacement of all mounts. Engine problem still not fixed and Honda's answer to the problem is to deny that it exists. Other repairs include the seat frame which was defective and rocked, major rattles requiring replacement of multiple parts and lots of foam tape and epoxy to fix, fuel gauge failed, A/c fan relay clicks constantly but never when at a Honda dealer so I'm told I have to live with it, Brakes squeal since day one. Interior panel warp and distort, arrived damages and just plain fall off
