Still really like the car a lot. Wins, mpg of about 41.5, drives great, hugs the road well and cruises quietly on the highway. The local dealer has done all maintenance and they are efficient and polite, and the price is very competitive. I think the Car is still as nice looking as when I bought it and prefer it over the newer model's look. Opportunities, small rattles, something in each front door panel buzzes most of the time and it's close to my ear...very annoying but I never brought it in to be looked at. Another rattle in the back either the panel behind rear seat or the headliner, can't tell. Small trunk because of the battery can be a challenge at times. It will be hard for me to not move to over to a Model 3 in a couple of years, Honda needs to step it up!

Wonderful car
Great car! I've averaged 43mpg over 17,099 miles. Fun car to drive. I rent a lot of cars for work and my Honda is always a joy to return to. One factor to consider is maintenance. This car requires an oil change roughly once a year ( the maintenance minder will tell you, but the manual says once a year otherwise). I have been to the dealer twice in two years, which would be unheard of in a regular car. The sound from the speakers is excellent and the collision detector has saved me more than once. I love this car!

FABULUS CAR FOR THE MONEY
Beautiful roomy passenger car inside. Trunk space is limited. Faster than my last Accord. Tank of gas cost like $25, which will last 675 miles. I estimate yearly cost of gas like $500. I recommend get extended warrantee. Plan to drive for 6 years at cost of like $3000 plus tires, oil change, and insurance. Save you lots of $ compared to many luxury or near luxury cars, yet looks just as good. No problems with car at all. In 20 degree weather the mpg is like 37. In 108 degree the mpg is 39. In 78 degree weather the mpg is 45

Great deal!!! Update 2/12/23
Updated review 8/9/18 I've now had my Hybrid EX-L for 3 years now, I'm at 87,890 miles and I must say that driving this vehicle has definitely changed my formally aggressive driving; acceleration and braking. I average upper 600’s to mid 700's year around. Are there minor tweaks I would prefer that this vehicle have, sure but nothing major. Is this a muscle car? No. Is this an ugly Prius? Hell no!!! The comfort and fuel saving advantages outweigh almost any other car on the road. A word of caution if you do not drive a lot the premium cost of this car will not balance out within a couple of years, shop with this in mind. As so far I’ve only had to replace the car battery @ 60k miles, and Tires @77k miles. *Make sure when replacing the tires that you use the exact same tires or you will end up with slightly lower MPG, anywhere from 30-50 miles less per Full tank of gas. On a side note, I had my car serviced @ 87k miles and I still had 80% brake pad life left, I was completely mind blown!!!! I’ve owed this car for 4 years now, and it’s at 120,000 miles of smooth sailing. I’ve replaced the car battery once and a set of tires once. I’ve saved over $20k during the past 4 years in fuel costs and services that I would have had to pay in my previous car and have applied that money towards paying my car off and have owned it straight out since 9/1/18. Is has now made its was into the hands of my daughter who recently drove it 1100 miles away without any issues other than air in the tires and 2 fill-ups. 8/11/21 My Honda now has 130,000 miles on it and is back from Seattle. On the way back down the transmission went out which also affected the Hybrid battery pack and 12v battery. My mechanic was able to get both the transmission and battery pack off of a couple used cars; $4k later and it’s back on the road and I’m still getting 50+ mpg!! 2/12/23 Rosie, as we call her is still chugging along at 150k miles. She has a couple of transmission hiccups on occasion; lights come on transmission error, LDW, FCW lights flash. I took her to Honda, they want $15k to swap out a new transmission!!! I’m just going to keep driving her until she dies out. I’m still getting 750 miles per full tank; roughly 47 mpg. My plan was to keep her for another 10 years but I suspect that isn’t going to happen. This Hybrid accord has been a work horse, for most this would have probably been their last car. She served her purpose and will always be my Rosie. I only wish she had Carplay

Great Car -- but Insurance costs are Insane!
-==Love the 2015 Accord Hybrid -- drives like a non-hybrid -- which is great praise. You see the brakes throwing energy into the battery, see it turn off the engine and at times switch to battery-only mode. The ride, quietness, vault-like feel wonderful. Acceleration and handling surprising for what is a high MPG car. But ... Got the bill from Allstate today - $1,200 more per year to go from a 2011 V6 Accord to the Accord Hybrid. The purchase price was within a few dollars between the two cars -- I'm paying Ferrari Station Wagon prices for an economical car?? OK, buy it if you are a green enthusiast, but ANY savings you expect from gas purchase is gone with the insurance.
Great MPG... Horrible ride (Surging & Pausing)
I bought the new 2015 Accord Hybrid for it's fuel economy, and it that aspect of the car does not disappoint. However, I was unaware of just how disappointingly choppy the car's ride would be when the it's software switches between electric engine and gas engine... especially when driving faster than 40 MPH at constant speed. I failed to realize this during the original test drive because I only drove it on the freeway for about one mile (and in heavy afternoon traffic). In short, (whether using cruise control or not) the 2015 Accord Hybrid will intermittently pause and then surge whenever the electric engine disengages from action at speeds north of 35-40 MPH. This is both annoying and disconcerting since it results in a choppy ride. I took my new Accord Hybrid to the dealer service folks twice for this problem. The first time, I was told to stop using the ECON mode if I wanted a smoother ride. The second time, I insisted on speaking with the service tech. Here's the exact verbiage from the service ticket: "NFP test drove the vehicle and verified customers concern. Took snap shots during the event of the PGM-FI system... etc.. After review of all the snap shot data was sent it was determined that it is the normal operation of this vehicle." That's a pretty poor response from Honda. I've always be partial to Honda products... but with the Accord Hybrid: Let the buyer beware.

800 miles per tank!
Lifetime 49.7 MPG over 58,000 miles driven. Regularly get 800 miles per 15 gallon tank. Easy 52 MPG in summer and shoulder spring/fall seasons, 44 MPG in winter. Zero issues with maintenance or reliability. I always drive in regen-B mode. The key for this car is the 43 - 58 mph sweet spot. The more time you spend in this range, the more the car rewards. You can do 62/63 mph without too much penalty (minus 1 or 2 mpg), but not 68/69 mph (minus 5 - 7 mpg). My commute is 30+ miles each way, mostly on posted 45 to 55 mph roads. The only cons, as others have mentioned, are the lack of spare tire and small-ish trunk. I've had one flat, which was a pain - had to call AAA, time consuming, etc and I've had to work around the the lack of trunk space a couple of times, but that hasn't caused delay or changed my overall trip in any way. Great car overall - if you want Prius mileage with Accord sedan looks and upgraded trim ( I have EX-L with leather seats/moonroof/etc).

Honda missed a few "nice to have"
I switched from an Acura to the Hybrid Accord to save on fuel cost. The Touring model was the closest to the Acura insofar as interior comfort, technology, and "toys", but do not expect the power or performance of an Acura. Some of the items I miss include: no access from trunk to the interior of car, so cannot carry fishing rods or other long items. Side mirrors are not connected to the driver 1 and 2 setting. "navigation" through the display options is not as intuitive as could be so unless you continually change displays, it is hard to remember how to. Otherwise, the car is what I expected. Looks great, drives great, and offers gas mileage that's almost double that of my Acura (same travel habits and roads)

Great car with some qalifications
First if all entertainment system sounds great, DD player is essentially useless other than to play CD's, will not save anything. Playing with flash drive is cumbersome, I bought an iPod Nano and it is infinitely easier. Honda needs some new engineers, this is unacceptable. Dealer shrugged his shoulders so I'll try once more then contact Honda directly. Car handles great, reasonably quiet when not accelerating (pronounced whine). Mileage very temperature dependent, heater is electric, heater warming cab, no EV.
Accord Hybrid Touring
Purchased two weeks ago and so far so good. Fuel economy is around 42mpg --mostly city driving. The fit and finish is pretty darn good for the money. The car is good looking and not a Prius (but has the mpg performance). The only disappointments so far are the passenger side front seat does not have same adjustment capability as driver seat (seat base does not go up or down) and (IMHO) the Navigation is not intuitive and should be 100% voice interfaced. Nav not worth the money. Perhaps an app interface with Waze or Google maps similar to existing Pandora interface? Future adds: A rear seat access power plug/usb and rear thermostat for climate control would be nice . Also a driver seat vibrating lane departure warning would be perfect .... The lack of trunk space is not too bad. Others have complained about the CVT transmission/motor noise-- It has been a non issue for us. Performance and acceleration are good. Rear Seat leg room is exceptionally good. Over all we are happy with purchase and look forward to more drive time. Winter traction and over all cold weather performance will be in follow up review....stay tuned. UPDATE 10/8/2017 Its been over a year and my wife loves the car. Performance in the snow was better than expected. Traction control works well. Have not reset the MPG computer and it reads 37 mpg over all. Gas mileage is not competitive compared to a Prius etc. No mechanical or electrical issues. The advertised mpg of 50/45 is bologna. That said --The Accord is still a really great value and a sharp looking car. UPDATE 4/22/2019 Mileage 31,000. MPG average varies between 29-39mpg. Have not touched the Mileage computer since purchase of vehicle.. Again overall mpg is nothing near 50mpg. OEM tires holding up well along with seats and interior over all. Factory Battery just bit the dust -- which is not unexpected. Other than that change the oil, rotate tires and put gas in it. We will probably never sell this car..... it will be given to our kids in the next couple of years. Super reliable, safe and good looking vehicle. Highly recommend. 12/10/2020. Mileage 48k. Mpg is 33 average since purchased. A little hiccup in the windshield well/gutter that is supposed to drain water. Gutter became clogged and water came in passenger front side just under glove box. Took to have repaired-- $600. All carpet removed, cleaned and dried out. TO AVOID this problem open the hood and vacuum out gutter at least 4 times a year. If you do not open the hood , you cannot see half of the gunk in the windshield gutter well. OEM tires have had it. Replaced with Continental PureContact LS- - excellent tire in the rain and way better than OEM in the snow. Very sticky tire. Might be a tad more road noise on the highway. Still very satisfied with the Accord overall. Update 12/11/2021. Deja Vu water leaking in through bottom of Glovebox (see above incident). $700 to clean and dry out Accord again. Car has been basically Garage kept since last year leak incident. Decided to offload the car as water issues spooked us. We loved this car except for above. Took it to Carmax and was given an unbelievable high amount for it . Took that and bought a used Lexus ES300 Hybrid. Cost us about $2k to do the switch. Should have bought this car originally. Same as Accord except more bells, Whistles, better stereo, quieter, better ride and more standard safety features. Buy this car instead. 100% worth the money. Unfortunately we will probably avoid Honda products going forward. 6/22 Lexus is great. No issues. Sorry Honda did not workout.

Best Hybrid on the Market
I'm in love with my Accord Hybrid for one reason - It drives and feels like any other Honda Accord. I read a ton of reviews about this car prior to purchasing especially regarding the fuel economy. The fuel economy all comes down to how you drive. I'm averaging 48.7 mpg after 17k miles on the car. The car does OK in true traffic, but it really shines in stop/go ish traffic on highways at low speeds. I live in DC and this car does exceedingly well in the traffic conditions here. With that said - it does not perform well on long highway trips (drove to FL and got 37mpg). Overall this is a car that drives like any other Honda Accord and I could not be happier with my purchase. Almost three years in, still the best bar I've owned. Only issue is that they had to replace the audio unit at 30k miles.

Honda over states gas mileage to sell this car
I have owned this car for 3 months and driven 5000 miles, both highway and city, in good weather. I have never reset trip B since I purchased car, the computer gas mileage for the 5000 miles on trip B is only 38.2mpg, also have never gotten over 38 mpg when monitoring at each fill up, in fact mpg is as low as 35 mpg. We have the economy button on and drive very conservatively, still only 38 mpg. Far from the 50 mpg city and 47 mpg overall. Obviously they are not being honest with their customers and they know it, I'm sure I'm only one of many that have complained to them. Had I known this, I would have just purchased a non hybrid Honda Accord, which would probably not be far off on mpg I'm actually getting with the hybrid. Also when accelerating on any type of grade under 40 mph, the engine revs and the feeling is like a slipping transmission or clutch.

Not bad - except the engine noise
I have this car for 2 months now, and there are something I really like this car and something I really don't like. Pros - Great fuel mileages in a 50+ degree day, 40+ MPG is not a question. - Good looking interior and exterior. - Drive like a normal car with plenty of power. Cons - The engine noise is loud in a low speed. - Hybrid is NOT good for cold day. I only get like 15 MPG for a very cold day ( 0 degree). - I hate the noise when I stop at stop sign/red light, the car sometimes will switch from engine to EV, then will switch back to Engine. it scares me when the engine starts up again. - NO Spare tire (I ended up buying a OEM spare tire - for $100)
My MPG Experience
I purchased a 2015 Accord Hybrid EX-L in January 2015. Overall, I have been very pleased with my purchase to date. Foremost is the great gas mileage. What I have observed as weather has warmed, my gas mileage has improved. I commute mostly interstate for 17 miles one way. This past week I have been averaging closer to 60 MPG every trip. Lowest being 57.4, highest being 62.1 MPG. I have observed setting the cruise control helps (around 60 mph). In cooler months, averages were upper 40s to low 50s mpg. Notably, my mileage is pretty close to my daughter's new Prius. The Accord, however is a much larger, handsome, comfortable and overall impressive car.
Love Driving This Car!
I purchased a used car that had previously been on a three-year lease. The car looked brand new inside and out (person had taken very good car of the car). I was initially concerned the car would not have good pick-up, but a test drive at the dealership dispelled that fear. I have had five Accords, and the body style on this one is really, really sharp. No one would know this car is used unless I pointed out the minor imperfections or they followed body style updates closely. I had been driving a 2007 V-6 Accord, so this is a big step-up in technology and features for me. A word about fuel economy: while I'm not getting the advertised 47-50 mpg, I am also not burning pure gasoline, which is what the EPA uses to determine fuel-economy estimates. At my next fill-up I plan to get 100% gasoline and see how that changes the fuel economy of the car. Pros: roomy interior, right turn signal camera, back up camera, body style, heated seats, auto power up on both front windows, Bluetooth, memory seats, fuel savings, smooth ride, excellent handling. Cons: smaller trunk, no spare tire, no trunk pass-through, engine noise Bottom line: the good FAR outweighs the bad on this car, and I'm very pleased with it. I love driving it and trying to get as much mileage as I can on a tank of gas. I still have my Accord V-6 if I want power; the Hybrid is my "luxury" car. Most of all, I love that it's a hybrid that doesn't look weird. Yes, the Prius has grown on me, but it still has an alien look to it. Honda has done a much better job at producing Hybrids (Accord and the updated Insight) that look good and still get good fuel economy. Honda has not disappointed me with the car, and for now I remain a loyal fan of the brand.

Some great features and some that need a little work
I have owned my 2015 Accord Hybrid Touring for about 4 months now. It is a beautiful car from the outside and I have received loads of compliments from friends and neighbors. The interior is also nice looking and several friends love riding along with me in it. Honda hasn't done much yet to provide any videos explaining the numerous advanced features of the car and I know that I would find that helpful. From reading other's reviews, I can tell that many owners don't understand how the drive train works. For example, it is an electrically powered car until about 45mph at which point, the direct lockup transmission connects the gas powered engine to drive the front wheels.
Nothing but trouble - GONE FROM BAD TO WORSE
It is for 2+ YRS own this car. recently found out that it does not have a SPARE tire and has been nothing but trouble all this time and still facing issues. 1. In the first 60 days, twice the vehicle abruptly stopped on the road with multiple error messages related to battery overheating and engine overheating. On both occasions, the dealership could not offer much resolution. In an oil change exercise, the software was patched and the issue went away. 2. The gas mileage: Occasionally my vehicle has given me 43+ mileage in the first 6 months and started dropping to 40 miles. However, since my oil change and a couple of filter change service the mileage has dropped to 35-36 miles/gallon. Have discussed with dealership with very little resolution 3. ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) & FCW(Forward Collision Warning): On multiple occasions, in the last 12 months both these features use to malfunction based on ‘Radar obstruction’ and in the last 10 days they have stopped working including the disabling of regular cruise control operations. This has made my long drive to work a manual exhausting effort. The dealership that inspected has advised of expensive diagnostics and recalibration which I am not sure if I truly should pay for. Overall, though I love Honda and owned a Civic for 16 years that ran trouble free for ~200K miles would highly discourage anyone looking to buy a Honda Hybrid car based on above experience.

2015 Accord Hybrid own it you will not be sorry
I average 43.5 mpg on a tank full of gas , most of the time it's a 2 mile drive to work so not ideal for best mpg, Wife averaged 45.9 when she drove it to work for a few months about 15 miles each way city and highway, extreme winter cold I get 35.5 worse Ive seen 2 months in winter about 37.5 average ,depends on coldness. 6 week between fill ups is nice, on a 10 to 15 mile trip speed around 45 to 50 I see 59 to 65 mpg routinely. Long trip of 600 miles highway, I at 70-75 mph and see 43 mpg, 62 to 65 cruise control I see 45.5. Much has been made of the engine rev to speed, it is no big deal once you get use to itI love the car, wish it went at least 3 miles on a charge but it doesn't, also memory seat would have been nice and better blue tooth and a moon roof with out breaking the bank. New ones you pay for fancy driving aids I do not want so not sure what I will do when I want a new one. You can not go wrong with car, style, comfort, drive-ability, superior gas mileage is hard to beat. Wish Honda would of asked what I would change before they built the 2018. Bottom line is I love the car, there could have been improvements but I would rather this car than the newest Accord Hybrid, if you can get into a low mileage 2015 or 2017 grab it you will not be sorry. I have owned mine over 3 years and this is the straight scoop. Update 5 years of owning 2020 March still great would recommend one to anyone. Wish they made plug in hybrid PHEV that would go 40 miles or more on charge then the car would be perfect.

A VW -level problem with fuel economy
I average 29-30 mpg in primarily city driving. Instruments tell me I am always driving in a fuel efficient way, but the gasoline running through the engine says something different. Don't notice much variation with level of traffic, but gasoline engine on a significant fraction of time even in sparse traffic. Dealer says computer works fine, so car must work fine . Dealer kept it for a week so they could do test drives- their best average day on their own chosen time/traffic/distance was 34 mpg. Head of maintenance told me that was in line with the other Honda Accord Hybrids he sees, seemed unconcerned that was enormously lower than the "official mileage" promise. Complained to headquarters- they told me they would love to check it over, then gave me 20 reasons why they would find there were no problems. I didn't bother after that litany. Service managers give a similar “look over there” response. Obviously Honda knows this is the mileage to expect from their Hybrid, but like VW, covered it up somehow in their tests. A complete corporate swindle. Truly HATE the car, would never buy another Honda even though I have been a Honda person for more than a decade. Feel like a sucker every time i drive it. Complete dishonesty at every level of the organization in dealing with the issue. Our 5 th Honda, but certainly the last! Now the dealer is bombarding me with “your warranty is about to run out!! Call this # to buy extension”. Of course my warranty ran out long ago, and the # to call is one of the big swindlers who formerly found suckers via robocalls. Honda dealers decided to join in for a cut.

Honda fanatic - Truly Disappointed.
WARNING.... If you're a HONDA fan please avoid this car. I have owned Honda Accords and I've been extremely happy when the hybrid came out I was excited and ready to get one. My previous 2003 Accord lasted 10 year without a single problem. I've purposely waited 9 months and 7,500 miles to provide a truthful review. ISSUE 1: The trunk rods which hold open the truck snapped into multiple pieces by 4 months. By the 6 month, the second rod which holds the trunk snapped. The dealer did fix it for free, but not until putting me in the hot seat to see if I did something. The mechanic who worked on the car informed this is the 3rd or 4th Accord Hybrid he's worked on where the rod had snapped. ISSUE 2: My wife and I enjoy going to drive in movies (I know old school). You cannot turn off the running lights if you want to run the air conditioner or radio. Really poor design that the running lights cannot be turned off. ISSUE 3: My wife and I go on long trips out of town and enjoy listening to local radio stations. However, you cannot change the radio station from the steering wheel. You have to do it manually which is placed in an awkward location. You can only change radio station for the preset channels. Another pool design. ISSUE 4: The rear view auto deeming mirror has an horrible slow dimmer, so you're hit with a bright light for 5-10 seconds. You're blinded until it's dimmed out and it reoccurs constantly. ISSUE 5: The USB charger in the front counsel is barely able to charge my Samsung Note 5. It's just not powerful enough or something is wrong. The dealer told me that how the hybrid USB chargers work. ISSUE 6: The drivers arm rest does not slide forward like the previous Accords, so unless you have long arms or you're more than 6' 5" it's difficult to rest your right arm and reach the steering wheel. This was a really bad design especially if you have a long drive. ISSUE 7: With 7,500 miles on the car (60% interstate & 40% city) and I'm a conservative driver I've averaged 36 mpg. ISSUE 8: The truck space is small, but I knew that when I purchased the car. So that's my fault. ISSUE 9: No spare tire can be purchased for the car and according to the dealer if you use the unit provided to fix a flat tire. It can damage the car rims. CONCLUSION: I just wanted to inform everyone of my experience and provide you a WARNING before you make a mistake. Again, I love Honda cars, but this one really let me down..... :-(

good size, comfortable sedan with very good mileage
This model is comfortable to drive or ride in and has very responsive steering. Feels like a luxury car in many respects. Great for long distant driving. The gas mileage varies depending on weather conditions. I get about 50 miles per gallon in the summer and around 44 in the winter. Driving speed also greatly affects mileage. Driving over 60 miles an hour produces 5 to 10 miles less per gallon than driving 50 or under. The car now has 128,000 miles and was at 37,000 when I bought it in 2018. It still performs as well as it did when I bought it.

Don't believe the Honda advertised mileage.
The advertised mileage is a joke. Have never hit 45 mp under any circumstances. I bought the car because of the advertised mileage. Should have bought a 4 cylinder gasoline engine and saved the difference in cost.

A hybrid you can keep your man card with!
Leased this car off the lot when they couldn't give them away due to gas prices. I wasn't looking for a hybrid but the dashboard and instruments sold me. It's the base model but the dashboard is well thought out. No center needle to get in the way and it tells you what you need to know. One reviewer posted he couldn't change the radio stations to other than presets well you can you just hold the direction arrow and it seeks. It would be nice if they heater controls were on the wheel but oh well. Driving this car is a breeze actually let me rephrase it hauls ass. Getting on the freeway it goes from 30 to 70 right now. Sure there's a little engine noise but so what. Passing from 60-70 to 90 happens at a rate not expected in a 4 door 4 cylinder that makes your neighbor's think you are frugal. This car actually held the record for longest trip on a tank of gas and I have come close. I drive from Nebraska to Michigan quite often and have clocked almost 600 miles on a tank several times and it's a 14 gallon tank. It's one of the few new cars of that year that don't turn the headlight off when you turn on your signal, and the HID's are amazing in the middle of nowhere. I have owned mostly performance cars and I have to say this one is quite possibly the perfect commute car. Now the bad parts. When steering under full acceleration the designers made the steering way to sensitive. It feels like you are steering from the top of the tires and it's very touchy. If you live in a hot climate turn off ECO mode in the summer. The AC Compressor will cycle at idle in order to be more efficient and that cuts down on the cooling. The trunk is small a couple of larger carry on's and a gym bag are about the limit. The electric motor torque does not do it any favors on the OE tires leaving a stoplight in wet or snowy conditions there is a lot of wheel spin and cutout from the traction control kicking on and off. It's a car you have to adjust to driving just like any other but it's also a 4 door hybrid that destroys most other cars to 40 from a stoplight including the CIVIC SI of the same year. I don't write reviews often but this car is actually worth the money I am paying. It's been a great car, has only been to the shop for the recall on the battery shutdown that was mentioned and in the spring and fall I am crushing the EPA Estimates. Winter the motor runs to heat the cabin and that does impact the efficiency as does the cold battery. Summer well I like AC so at 75MPH cruising with the AC set on ALASKA I am only getting about 48 MPG on my highway commute to work. Yeah you read that right plus did I mention it's not a prius?

Best card I have ever owned/leased
I leased this Accord Hybrid with no real additional creature comforts. For the 30 months that I leased it, it got GREAT gas mileage; low maintenance costs; great power, especially off from a start or going onto a freeway. The only real issue was that the car sits low and you feel as if you fall in to the car and have to climb out of it. Other than that, I would have purchased another one if it did not have that issue.

I was looking for a car to replace one I loved that had been totaled. While I could have gotten a later model, I wanted what I had lost. I found it, with a different color exterior. I love this car. 50 MPG, comfort and style. This should keep me going till I can go electric.
Won't buy again
The car has had nothing but issues since I purchased it. First, the text message read option in the display doesn't work. I've tried with both Android phone and iPhones. Secondly, bluetooth and Pandora don't always connect and it takes several tries to it to pair. Sometimes the radio display even freezes to the point where you need to actually turn off the car to reset it (turning off the radio doesn't fix the issue). Then there's the cheapness of the undercarriage in which the splash guard has fallen off during normal highway driving conditions twice now.

I used to be a Honda fan!
Bought the Honda Accord Hybird after owning the Lincoln MKZ Hybird. Bottom line, we should have stayed with the Lincoln. I have been on two trips (200 and 500 mile), and was very disappointed with the 37 MPG I averaged on each of them. Honda's answer was it gas mileage should improve after your first oil change. The engine sounds like it is stuck in first gear when it kicks in. The engine noise is very noticeable inside the cabin area if you are driving 30 MPH or faster. Voice recognition software with the radio is less than user friendly and no logic to some of the required commands. Only good thing I can say about this car is it was about $15,000 dollars cheaper than a Lincoln. I got what I paid for!

Disappointed
This was the first car purchase that I have ever read the reviews on, researched through the internet re: hybrids and electric cars. Decided on a hybrid because of short drive/charge distances on the all electrics. Went with the Honda Accord Hybrid based on review from this site and several other sites. I have never been more disappointed in a car purchase than I have this one. It is miserable to ride in, sort of like sitting on bleachers with a towel under me. The transmission seems to gasp when changing gears, although the drive remains smooth. 2017 update. Ditched the Honda, bought another Subaru and never looked back.

My second one
The '15 Touring is my second iMMD Accord in a row. I put 33K miles on a '14 in about 11 months, so I traded to a '15. The cars are identical except in color, old one was red the new one is a dark metallic silver which looks much nicer. My circumstances changed, and for the two years I've only put 20K miles on the '15, so it's brand new. The car is complex, the doodahs are stupid -as such doodahs are for all cars. I disabled Adaptive Cruise Control, all nanny warnings, the whole works.... so I DRIVE the car. What is really good about this car is how EV like it is... gobs of immediate torque off the line... instantly.... smoothness of the drivetrain... it's silky. In the '14 we took some long trips and, cruising at 78mph, achieved almost 600 miles per tank, even going over the mountain passes on the Western I5 from SoCal to the Puget Sound. We had to stop for pit stops, not gas. Now, the trunk is a bit small, so we had to pack it tight once for Christmas Gifts but it was big enough for another trip to wine country. Indeed we love this car, but we're going to sell it because we're on the list for a Honda Fuel Cell Clarity. We have not had any real issues.... driving into the sun for long times (as in the evening) does confuse the ACC camera and will generate errors... they go away when it cools off. But, I don't use ACC, so it's no big deal for me. The interior is very comfortable as well.

Lots of smiles and miles in a Honda Accord Hybrid
If you don't like going to gas stations and you like a comfortable cruiser, this is the right vehicle. I drive to Pittsburgh several days a week and bought this car as opposed to a Camry Hybrid because of the better gas mileage. I have not been disappointed. I average 44 MPG on my trips from home into Pittsburgh and that is running at least 70 MPH on the way. Its fun to sit in traffic and see the average MPG go up because of the electric motor. Short trips to and from town are all easily over 50 MPG and if I try to milk it more, I can do much better. My wife and I drove from Morgantown, WV to Chattanooga, TN before we needed to stop for gas. 600 + miles on a tank is the norm. The worst MPG that I have ever gotten was 39 MPG on a tank or two in the dead of winter (mileage is not as good in the winter). The car is very quiet (forget what others say about noise. It is a little noisy when doing a quick acceleration from a stop, but its not a big deal and goes away as soon as you reach cruising speed.) and the car rides very well. The handling could be a little better, but its not bad. There are three sacrifices that you make. One is that the legroom for front seat passenger is a little less than would be expected, two is that the trunk space suffers because of the battery pack, and three is the lack of a spare tire. I had a flat last week and the repair kit didn't work. Honda Roadside Assistance was not too good and I ended up having AAA tow the car back to the dealership where we ordered a replacement tire. I plan on buying a spare and jack and putting them in the trunk. The controls are laid out well and are easy to use, everything is within reach, and the sound system is very good. I have had no problems other than the flat since I bought the car and service has been limited to oil changes (synthetic) and tire rotations. My EX-L does not have Navigation and the car has no transmission (believe me you won't miss it and you can use the B setting for regenerative braking to slow down on long grades), so both of those were rated N/A as was resale value. I would expect it to be very good. I would definitely buy another Accord Hybrid. Update of 11/2019 - I recently passed 70,000 miles. I grew up around cars in my Dad's Chevrolet dealership and I can honestly say that this may be the best vehicle that I have had. I am also very glad that I purchased this car before they removed the CD Player - a bad move for all of these carmakers. I continue to get great gas mileage and routinely get over 50 mpg driving from home to town and back. I did buy a compact spare and a jack, but of course, I have never had any more trouble since. This is an outstanding driving and riding vehicle and it is probably all the car that I will ever need.

Great looks & Performance
Acceleration is great but engine is a bit noisy. Mileage is excellent. No maintenance problems whatsoever. Basque Pearl Red is a great color...many nice comments about how the car looks.

smooth with some bumps...
this "rare" car runs well with reasonable acceleration. a comfortable ride, has decent mph around town and on the road (expect far less mph on the highway) and sports a nice array of technology .Although I think honda shortchanged consumers with skimping on design changes .. i,e. no compass , no spare, small trunk to add some other features..i.e. automatic seat adjustment and lane change feature but overall this mid grade hybrid still offers a comfortable ride, and better styling/lines than the "wide mouth" Toyotas.. overall very nice car.

Great new Accord
It's very roomy and comfortable, and the body style change looks great. It obviously doesn't have the acceleration of my BMW but it does well once on the road. I'm not a huge fan of the lane departure tool in town, but it would be great if you're driving a long haul.

Great Honda Hybrid
Handles very well in tight turns and while accelerating. Hugs/holds the road excellent! The vehicle is very loud and struggles in regular engine mode when climbing hills or grades, resulting in very poor gas mileage at that point! Great reliability so far. Do not try and top off the gas tank when filling up! It will spit it back up and all over! Purchase it with MOE (Extended mobility tires) as there is no room for a spare in the trunk. Or call roadside regardless to tow if a flat occurs. The camera is helpful when using your turn signal. Great safety feature. Plenty of room in the back seat for passengers. I wish it had Apple Car Play avail.

Bulletproof
We bought ours new and have been very happy with the car. It handles surprisingly well, feels light and responsive. The interior is clean and smart. The car is nearly 5 years old now with 54K miles on it and we have had no problems--nothing unexpected. Not even a rattle or squeak. It's been bulletproof. Other reviewers have commented on the surging or jerkiness of the hybrid drivetrain. Agreed, this is a bit of annoyance, but something we quickly got used to. A couple of surprises. First, the gas mileage in winter has dropped as low as 32 mpg, dramatically lower than the 48 to 50 mpg we get in summers. The low figure is when it's really cold, below zero. Secondly, a smaller thing, we got the Touring model with the upgraded audio and it includes a hard drive which automatically rips every CD you play. We drove the car for over a year before we discovered this--we had every CD we'd ever played in the car on file.

Like the technology, handling, dependability, mpg
The switch from electric power to gas was a different sound and the throttle down on all electric was different, and took some getting used to, however overall I am very satisfied with this vehicle, it has not missed a beat, and very reliable and dependable. There was a recall on the cars software which was potential for the car to power down. This happened to me, but the local Honda dealership fixed this immediately at no cost. I have the touring model which has leather heated seats, lane alarm, navigation, very nice fit and finish, and overall good handling, the mileage is superb.

Performance, efficiency and comfort
Performance and efficiency usually don't mix, but in this vehicle they do. The back seat is heated and sit a 6'4" adult is comfortable. Unlike some people here, I did not have any software problems or reliability issues. In the winter, I average around 6.3 liters per 100 km (40 mpg) and in the summer I get about 5.2 L (46 mpg). Acceleration is pretty strong at about 7 seconds to reach highway speed. My only concern is efficiency at speed above 115 kpm (70 mph). For reasons unknown to me, efficiency drop dramatically above this speed. With a 60 liter tank, I regularly get over 1000 km (600ish mile) of range from every tank. If you work from home, it'll last you over a month. I think the only real deal-breaker is the smaller trunk space and the backseats does not fold down, both of which have been fixed in the new version. Do yourself a favor and test drive this car before you buy the Prius or Sonata, they might cost about the same, but the performance and comfort are dramatically different.

Great car!
I love this car because it has great gas mileage and a high safety rating. It has never let me down, although it can’t really get up a declined driveway covered in snow, but that was just on a trip. It’s great for long trips because of gas mileage. One of the best cars I ever had.

New to the Hybrid Technology
I just purchased this car last week with 116k miles. I love it so far. I'm nervous about the hybrid technology, so I bought the extended warranty. Please standby for my journey.
