Roof rack for plywood but a ten foot piece of lumber fits inside (passenger seat folded fwd). I've had it to the dump twice and it folds back into a mini van in a minute. The back seats are a bit hard to get into but with privacy glass give you a changeing room after a bike ride. Very functional, pretty and feels very solid. Holds the road much better than my 2010 TC. OK so months later I still love this van. It takes me to Home Depot and though it is not a mega truck it is very useful. I'd buy it again. Adequate MPG enough power. About the noise , I started wearing hearing aids and now I really notice the noise. But the roads here in Northern CA are full of pot holes after the wet winter.

2015 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XL 4dr Minivan w/Rear 180 Degree Doors LWB (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

We purchased this transit connect XL, LWB to be used as a mobile advertising for our company and also for deliveries. We are in the signs and printing industry, so we don't need a lot of space. I think this vehicle is overpriced, the msrp was around $ 24k but we got it for around $ 20k, it looks as a great deal but i think the price is high anyway for what you get. Finally we have a small commercial van in the USA that looks nice, the design is beautiful except the front grill, the front grill, is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!, Acceleration is poor and no stability in speeds + 60 mp/h, This is not a mustang but the price is almost the same as the mustang base model, that's why i think is overpriced compared to vans such as the new and beautiful Kia Sedona for just $ 26k. A friend of mine also purchased this vehicle but the 7 passenger version, space is limited and seats are small, cheap quality interior and uncomfortable. The gas tank is too small, i have to pump 2 or 3 times a week, MPG is fine. I don't know why for people in the states manufacturers offer the worst, this same vehicle in UK is offered with the space cargo divider, something that looks nice and is crucial for security reasons, they don't offer original accessories neither as an option, we are obligated to buy low quality third parties accessories. Also this vehicle in EU has more options as third seat and better interior design with more room to accommodate little things, when i get into the vehicle i don't know where to put my cell, Folders or documents (top shelve is useless, do not have a front net to avoid things to run away in a curve), In the space between the back of the seat and the cargo area i put some documents, a pen and disappeared because i didn't realize there is a big open space there under the cargo area but is impossible to reach my lost documents.

When I heard Ford was bring the Transit to the US I was really excited, it was just the vehicle that would work for the family and my husbands small business... The first few days were great, then my husband notice a small vibration when the driven for the first mile each morning, driving at nights the head lights made it so hard to see that it made it difficult to drive a night. Took it to the dealer who was basically rude to both of us fixed the lights but told us the vibration was our imagination. The vibration got worse, and started making a thump when making a turn, and there were problems with the mirrors not folding out when on locking the door, took it back to the dealer and at first was told they were able to reproduce the issue and would fix then when we went to pick up the vehicle we were again told it was our imagination, and as to the mirrors not folding out that was the way it was suppose to work and we should "know our own vehicle" what ever that means. Finally today tired of all the little problems with the vehicle - plastic around passage seat broke, stupid whole under driver seat that catches everything that is dropped on the back passage seat floor with no way to get it, radio not going off when closing drivers door, interior lights not coming on, cracked windshield, the constant beeping the vehicle does when your driving and its snowing, and oh lets not forget the vibration in the mornings. We took it to the dealership which we could get into for two weeks, to only have the service guy laugh and send my husband on his way the warranty has expired. Really Ford can guarantee the transmission for 60000 miles but can't guarantee a simple plastic piece won't break after 36000 miles. What a rip off. Going back to the dealer tomorrow after talking to the Sales Manager at the dealership, not holding my breath.

It was a great thought... buy a minivan the could be used for work and hauling the grand kids around. I put many miles on my car and depend on its reliability as my job requires me to be on the road and available at all times in all weather. On the other hand I like to get my kids and grand kids out on road trips in the summer. So this seamed like the perfect choice especially when the original published numbers showed 30 mpg (corrected since) and sales guy said "yep 30mpg".For this review I will leave out the absolute Honorable service from the dealer as most customers who shop in my area know how bad they(Sim Roc) are. I will just focus on the vehicle issues. Noticeable issues are heavy road noise (third set of tires..its still there), front tire wear that even the dealer cant figure out, belt tension pulley that fell off at 60 thousand miles, all headlights have required replacement (died). This includes all those little marker lights. Head lights have flickered since new.. even after bulb changes... Less noticeable Items are doors that don't latch (recalled) child locks that don't work (not recalled).. Drivers seat has a side high lip that is not noticeable until the center of the seat wears in ..then you have to step over it to get out (painful on left thigh after a few times).. outside trim around windows falling off.. Transmission seem to miss a gear on occasion (concerning) so ..normally i would just trade it in and move on ..but i recently became aware this the trad-in value is hilariously low... guess I keep it as a reminder of what Ford is currently selling..... Not a reliable Van::: Update::: replaced belt tension pulley twice with ford part and a third time with aftermarket that fixed noise issue...replaced throttle body due to trans shifting issue...have had to remove rear breaks, wire brush and re-lube twice to fix seized break pad. I believe this is due to a poor design.. Tire ware is still a major issue added to by the fact that no one local caries the tires for this vehicle in stock and the XL rating greatly limits the options.

I'm not sure what the rest of you are reviewing...

My experience is not anything like the rest of the reviewers. This is one of the worst vehicles I've ever been in. I'm using one for work. Terrible ride, terrible gas mileage, the seats are uncomfortable in all three rows, Bluetooth connection is a nightmare, it's massively underpowered. If a family is thinking about this, I would highly suggest you need to really evaluate the Honda and Toyota minivans instead. If there was a zero star option I would have given it.
