Not My Daddy's T-Bird!

Purchased my silver 2004 T-Bird in 2016 with only 56k on it, now it has 106K on it. Still looks new, and does get a lot of looks and comments, ride is good and handling is exceptional. Gotten as much as 26mpg on long trips too. Had to replace all 8 coils (not cheap, even though my brother is a mechanic and I got them at his cost), and also replaced all 8 spark plugs because I kept getting "Check Engine" and "Service Engine" lights. A couple of times, the car went into "Limp Mode" and would barely move, until I shut off the ignition, let it sit for a few minutes and then re-started it. It has to be the quirkiest automobile that I ever owned, but I do love to drive it on warm days with the top down....

My wife and I just picked up our Vintage Mint Green Thunderbird in Illinois and drove it 970 miles back to North Carolina this past weekend. It’s the very rare Vintage Mint Green which only 612 examples were made. The vehicle is comfortable, quiet and very smooth riding. The fuel mileage is not great but is exactly as Ford claims at 23 mpg on the highway. I’m really looking forward to removing the hard top when it gets warm and enjoying some top down cruising! They only made 65,000 total Thunderbirds in 4 years but there are plenty of low mileage examples to be had. I highly recommend purchasing one.

This is a fast, fun car that rides well on the highway. Lots of comments from observers.

Our 2003 Prem TB Hard Top is the most fun to drive its realy like having 3 cars when you put soft top up then Down and The Port hole Hard top on. Crack the window and listen to that sound of the 60's coming our of the great SC sound system and the exhaust pipes.

Recieved the car as a gift and was thrilled, at first. The car began to leave me stranded...engine would not turn over. Local dealership service dept. has tried everything but can find no answer to the problem. Car has now been in the service dept. for 11 weeks and still no answer to the problem. I absolutely love the car, but I do not love being stranded waiting for a wrecker...NINE TIMES!
