Unreliable - I need a vehicle I can count on
I was so excited when my Maverick arrived. I placed the order in August 2022 and finally received it in June 2023. Not a huge problem for me because I have a Lincoln that I love. I find the Maverick very comfortable in every way, I like the acceleration when passing, it is quieter than my Lincoln. My son who is a big man of 6'5", not fat but broad shoulders, I was afraid he wouldn't fit, he's used to large pickups. He drove it on a 3000 mile trip and afterward he said he could drive it all day every day it was so comfortable. My granddaughter was his passenger and she agreed her ride was comfortable. BUT BUT BUT!!! Lucky for us, on that trip no problems. About a month later I planned to drive it - it was DEAD. I didn't leave the lights on, or have anything that could drain the battery overnight. Tried to jump it - NOTHING! Dealership towed it to their place and determined it was the battery. Battery? in a 3 month old vehicle is dead? I did not leave the lights on or have anything that would drain the battery. Maybe it was a defective battery? Brought the Maverick home, drove it for 2 weeks - fine one day, next day DEAD again and towed again. This time the dealership double checked technical bulletins for 2022 and 2023 Mavericks and tried many different things, none of which seemed to be the cause. They determined that probably when they returned the vehicle to me the new battery hadn't been fully charged. So doesn't a battery recharge itself when driving the car? I had driven the car for at least a 30 mile roundtrip at least twice during the 2 weeks, wouldn't that recharge the battery? I was told this is a different kind of battery, so how does it recharge? I'm told they have checked and the battery is fully charged now and the problem shouldn't recur. Does this sound right to you? We'll see. Fortunately, each time it was DEAD it was on my driveway, I hate to think if this had happened on the trip, but it could have. So, do I use it for anything but local driving? Get stranded on my next trip? The warranty doesn't cover the cost of rental car if the Maverick fails! I was asked if it sits for several days unused - yes, because I have a second car. But each time it was DEAD it had been driven the day before and seemed fine. I see on the internet that I am not alone with the DEAD Mavericks. Many others are reporting the same issue. Buyer beware - do you want to drive a car that might work? Might get you home? Shouldn't a 3 month old vehicle be reliable? All my cars in the past I could count on to run as long as I had not been stupid and left the lights on - even the cars that were 15 and 18 years old were never DEAD when I attempted to use them. Not true for the Maverick!
First Ford hit since Mustang
It is the smoothest-running vehicle I ever owned. I just got it so I am not sure about the mileage I will get but the ride is smooth, and it has good power to climb the hills.

The Little Truck That Could!
Although it took a year and a half to get it, White truck has been well worth the wait. This little truck is more comfortable than expected and so incredibly versatile! For a hybrid, it's quick, and the mileage is excellent! Is it perfect? Well, no...but it is quite the little weekend warrior. Plenty of room in the bed to carry bags of mulch, flats of flowers, or my bicycle to ride trails. Heated seats and steering wheel, a decent back seat, and easy egress. What an awesome infotainment system! Well done, Ford...well done!

A hybrid TRUCK with 4 seats. This truck is awesome, fit all of my city dweller needs. Averaging over 37 mpg. Lots of cool inexpensive mods too. Only compliant is that base model doesn't have HD radio.

2.0 Ecoboost AWD FX4
This 2.0 eco boost awd fx4 in very fun to drive! Comfortable , great B&O stereo, apple car play. Only have had it for a week but so far it greatly exceeds expectations. Wasn’t quite sure about the cactus gray paint but note that I see it in person I love it. Currently also have a older f150 and even with the Maverick being a smaller vehicle, bed and tow rating (4k) I don’t see it not be able to do almost everything I asked of my f150.
