Bought Fusion just before February trip from Michigan to Florida and back. Mileage was 30.08 and the computer said 30.1 over 3400 miles. Trunk was loaded with luggage and after break-in cruised at 75-78. 250 miles of stop and go included in senior land. So far very happy. The 1.6 was built post recall and is adequate. Specifically did not get Ford Touch so no problems there. Traded in a Lucerne with 100k -times are a changing-so far culture shock is ok.

Had the car 3.5 years. Purchased new. Flawless. Over 37 mph highway, 29 in town. 6 speed manual tranny is fantastic. I am sad they discontinued the manual tranny in 2014. I would have certainly bought another manual Fusion. This is the best car I have ever had. Peppy enough, fun to drive, big enough, great mpg, hi tech, turns heads. Someday I will give this car to one of my sons and get another Fusion, automatic and perhaps a Hybrid. The Fusion is just such a great value. Continue to love driving this car at 49k. I wish Fusion would come out again with the manual tyranny. It is so much fun to drive. 75k miles now. Continue to love this car. A recall got me a new clutch at 72k which I am pleased to have received. Ford has been great with regards to warranties and recalls. I am unlikely to part with this car anytime soon because I like the car and manual tranny. At 100k miles. No issues. Runs like new. So sad Ford is discontinuing this great car. Still love the wonderful gas mileage and the fantastic 6 speed manual transmission. Update:Fusion now at 113k now. Continues to perform flawlessly. Will not trade it or sell it. Perfect car for one of my sons. Fun to drive , great mileage, cheap to maintain. Ford should have kept the Fusion and manual transmission.

I have 101,000 miles on my 2013 Fusion and it is still running strong. It is amazing what sort of performance they can get out of a 4 cylinder engine. My last highway mileage was actually my best ever with 30 mpg. The only reason I would consider selling is that I 'm getting bored with driving the same car for going on 8 years now.

Total LEMON! Buyer Beware!

I purchased my 2013 Fusion just 10 months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Within the 1st week of owning it, I had to take it in for computer updates because all the electronics kept shutting down. 2 months into ownership there was a recall on it and it was in the shop for 3 weeks! Last month it was in the shop because it was literally leaking gas and there were 2 more recalls on it. It was there for 2 weeks this time. Now 3 days ago, it had to be towed BACK to the dealership because everything went batty as in every alert imaginable came on. Brakes, engine, oil, engine temp, coolant. Everything went wrong and it completely shut down. I told the dealership to keep it, I'm DONE

Don't Believe the Estimated MPG

I have had this car for a month and bought it specifically for the mileage since I drive over 20,000 miles per year. My Jaq S-Type with V8 got 20-22 mpg, and this 4 cylinder only averages 22-24 mpg. Even on straight highway trip with no traffic, it reached 29 mpg, not the 36 advertised. I've only reached 29 mpg once. Extremely disappointed! I see a class action in Ford's future just like Hyundai and Kia just had. Dealer says it will be get better mileage after break-in period (1000 miles), but with 2100 miles on car, no change. Last tank averaged 22 mpg. I could be driving my V8 luxury car!! I rated performance low because the car doesn't get mpg it advertises!
