Shame to see such a great car discontinued
Great city car. I drive mostly country roads and get about 35mpg. I drove it for a month before i plugged mine in now its near 50mpg. Other than the small trunk i have absolutely no complaints. A full charge uses 7 kwh of electricity, if you only go short distances you will almost never have to put gas in
MUCH BETTER THAN ANY EUROPEN CAR IN ALL WAYS!!!!!!
The best: value, performance, safety, reliability, comfort, cost of ownership, etc..........One of the best cars made in all ways.....My fifth Fusion Hybrid in five years....... I have driven up to 50,000 miles in one year--- through all 48 states and all of southern Canada also have been an uber/ lyft driver....................................Never had a car brake down, major repairs or burn oil.... I have driven over a 1,000,000 in my life

Surprised how much I like it.
My previous car was destroyed in a fire and the vehicle I really want is the Mustang Mach E which will be available next fall. I bought the Energi as a temporary car and a test case on whether I would like an electric car. So far, the car is fantastic...haven’t used a drop of gas after the drive home from the dealer. Build quality is excellent; no problems or defects so far. Only negative is the trunk which is small because of the battery. Ford missed a great opportunity with this one, but maybe the Mach E will make up for it. Six months later, on my second tank of gas. Most of my driving is less than 25 miles a day which can be accomplished solely on electric. No mechanical issues. Fantastic daily driver. Have saved a ton of money on gas. (Have solar on my roof.) Only negative is the small trunk. 13 month update...zero problems, and still a fantastic car. Will probably need my third tank of gas next month. Wish it had a bigger trunk but I have managed. 18 months, zero problems and sold the Energi in order to take delivery of a new Mach E. My big disappointment was the depreciation. With only 4,000 miles on the car, the retail value was only $19,000. Yes, I understand that Ford discontinued the Fusion but 50% over 18 months is a lot. Whoever brought the car is getting a great deal.

GREAT Energy from my Energi !
I am so glad I decided to continue my Fusion purchases. I bought my first Fusion in 2006 and was so happy with it that I when it was time to replace it I started looking at my options within the Fusion family. I purchased my 2018 Fusion Energi at the close of 2018. Because it was a demo of sorts I got a great deal on it and didn't have to absorb any of the usual depreciation. I was somewhat concerned over the limited trunk space but honestly it hasn't been a problem at all. There is plenty of space for normal grocery shopping excursions and if I happen to go to the wholesale club I just drop the back seats and it's not an issue at all. I have even hauled things home from the local garden center in the roomy back seat area (with seats dropped down). It is EXTREMELY quiet when operating. Having owned my Fusion since Sept., 2018 from then til now (March, 2020) I have only put in 6,that's right SIX tanks of gas. I generally can do all of my running around town on electric only. I love the fact that it charges the battery every time I brake or am going downhill. Any concerns I had about power were quickly put to rest when I floored it for the first time to get on the interstate. More than enough energy from my Energi!

Great Value
I am on my 3rd electric (albeit this is first plug-in hybrid). What got me here were the incentives Ford is giving on the lease. I could not see paying 4K more for a stripped down Leaf or 18K more for the Tesla 3. I prefer full electric and the Bolt at 258 range was fun to drive and got me everywhere I needed. This car is fully loaded, even with the GM rebates it was still 10K over this price. I like the adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, safety features, heated steering wheel, front seats 14 way adjustment heat/cool feature, comfortable ride and the ability to go electric only. Additionally, the programmable seats are great and the handling is good. On the negatives, for such a big car (wider, longer than our Subaru Outback), it does not use the space well. Trunk is the obvious complaint. The doors feels very 'cheap' or tin-like when you close them, a minor complaint but definitely shows that this is a fully loaded inexpensive car vs a true luxury car.. I could not pass up a fully loaded everything for the price. When my daughter goes off to college, I will feel very secure in handing her these keys. I really wish it was full electric, but I will be able to leverage the full electric to commute to/from work Update: I am getting 130 MPG (not including charging costs), which is more than I was hoping for. I drive in Electric only mode until the batteries are depleted then it seamlessly moves to hybrid mode. In summertime in San Francisco Bay Area we get about 29-35 miles on a charge. If you drive aggressively you will not see this range. If you make it a game(the app scores your braking & driving), then you will see this range. Still feel good about this purchase - owned 6 months.. Update at 1year: mileage is 117mpg due to increased usage and my daughter’s swim pool at the end of the range causing more gas usage. Charge suffers in winter as expected, but the drop is larger than I expected. Winter charge range is 21-25 miles. Interior is holding up well, tin sounding doors and small trunk are really my only complaints. Suit speed for wipers is ok not great, heated steering wheel rocks!
