Awesome Vehicle
We drove our 2012 explorer XLT 3.5l non ecoboost up to 308,000kms before it was sold. Overall it was one of the best vehicles we’ve owned, our biggest repair was the power steering, everything else was standard wear items. If you stay on top of replacing all of the fluids regularly (PTU, Coolant, differential, engine oil) , it will give you years of reliable service. Tons of space, lots of power and very comfortable.
I want it all!!
I bought the 2012 Explorer XLT-EcoBoost. Beautiful SUV!! I've had issues with the transmission from the word go. They fixed it I thnk-changed the Valve Body. It shifted hard when the weather starting getting cold. Still has a little hard shifting. The right side of the windshied is very noisy-worse when it's very windy outside. When it raining out, you can hear every raindrop on the top!! But the vehicle is topnotch luxury!! I love that part of it. I feel very safe in it. Has all the bells and whistles I want in a car. Come on Ford-lets get it all figured out and all in sync!!

Go anywhere versatility
Starts everytime dependably, plenty of power when needed, good vantage point view of the road ahead and all around . Cool in the summer and warm in the winter climate control.

Just purchased
Love my new used car! The salesmen were wonderful and informational and am very happy with my overall experience. I can't wait to take my car out on the road. The service at Fair Oaks Ford was a great experience. I have been a customer for many years and couldn't have been happier with their service department. I look forward to putting many trips on this car.
FORD First on race day
Owned the car going on 14 yrs - wife worked for Ford Dealer, bought in 2011 for 2012 model year. Great car, Couple of stupid Ford problems - steering module, shifter lockout. Nothing serious. Has 82,000 wife miles. Car now just does not suit her status - nobody drives a 14 year old car anymore. I do. Have a 99 F150 supercab 4.6 bought new and still going at 165K. Plan to run it to 250K. That's nearly 25 years. Back to explorer: garaged 99.9999% of time owned. Paint great, inside beautiful after two kids and two grandkids. In all seriousness, I would keep this car forever but have been forced into looking at a trade. Not back to Ford. Explorers are priced too high for what they offer the buyer except in goofy electronics whose lifespan is maybe two years. And sadly, this car is worth a lot more than the market is willing to give.
