Used 2016 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Classy and cute!
Found just what I wanted, beautiful color and what I needed inside. Very smooth driving and not the first Ford I ever had, therefore, always satisfied and why I went for the Escape this time around. Very happy purchase. Had two Explorer's previously and also have a truck. All great vehicles. Update: Very happy with vehicle to date. Ride smooth and driving also. Right size for what I need daily. Also own another Ford which is why mileage is low. Happy Ford customer.

Would not rebuy
I loved ford, so much so I only ever bought fords, but this is BS. I just bought a 2016 ford Escape and it's engine is suddenly just stopping. I would be going 65mph on the free way and go to try to pass someone or get over and try to accelerate just to see that my engine has shut off. All I see is a message to put it in park to start engine. It would start right back up but It has happened three times and the third almost got me smoked my a Simi, so I bring it in to Ford Dealership since it is under warranty. They keep it for two days to tell me they have no idea what is wrong with it. That it didn't happen when they drive it and there was no code popping up so they do see a problem and don't know what to tell me. PISSED is a understatement right now. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD!!!!

Going Backwards
I have been driving a Ford Escape Hybrid for the past 6 years and LOVE IT, so I naturally went looking to buy another one. Imagine my surprise. While it is a beautiful vehicle with lots of storage in the back, there is no place to put ANYTHING, including a cell phone in the front. They took away every nook and cranny. While I LOVED the Jukebox feature whereby I could upload all of my music to the hard drive of the car and easily access it, they took that feature away. They also took away the ability to play a DVD on the screen in the front seat of the car. On long trips, I loved taking a break at a rest area and mindlessly watching a DVD while I rested. Also taken away were the wonderful mirrors within mirrors so that I could see if a vehicle was in my blind spots. Now there is a warning light, but you can't actually SEE the vehicle. So, while there have been some wonderful improvements, I will miss those four features immensely.

should have kept my 10 year old nissan truck
I get 17 mpg in mixed city/hwy. well under advertised mpg. Dealer says nothing can be done, since no indicators show error.

Rescued From VW Scandal....
Well manufactured, looks great, sunset color is exceptional, lots of room, step-in height is perfect, easy in and out, good visuals, love the flip down head rests, feels solid. This car has to have the spare tire suspension system replaced...seems a recall is in the works. Ford will fix it for me. I really like this car, not quite the quality of the VW (diesel) but a good choice. It fits me! Thank you Edmunds for finding it locally for me!
