Used 2016 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Horror Movie Lemon Law
I was sad to see that someone else had a Ford 2016 Escape that cut off going down the road. Mine also said going down the road at 60 miles per hour that "the car was not in Park". Mine went a little further when all the screens went black and the window washers came on. I also recorded this with my phone. The SUV stopped working several times and I took it to different dealerships. None could find out what was wrong. Each gave me a car to drive while it was being worked on. After the Horror Movie response I refused to get back into that car. I tried to find out what to do to invoke the Lemon Law. None of the dealerships had given me any of the paperwork, without the paperwork no attorney could help me. I had a case manager at Ford but that is just a pacifier to keep me quiet. The dealership required that I take the Horror Movie Car back which I refused so they sold me another Ford 2016 Escape with penalties for high mileage on the next car. I am now $10K upside down in the car. Customer service is a real joke. Attorney's can not help you without the paperwork trail that I had asked for each time Service agents at 3 dealerships said since I did not pay for the service and that it was a Warranty job that I did not need the papers.

Broke down on the side of the road in my 2016.
We purchased this vehicle from Marysville Ford in Washington State. We are soon to have a new teen driver in our family and were in need of a safe, reliable vehicle. I am deeply concerned that I found myself on the side of the road in a rural area with my check engine light blinking and a shuddering vehicle with no acceleration. This scenario is exactly why we impeded on our family budget to purchase what we believed to be a sound investment so our teen driver would not be at the side of the road. After reading other concerning reviews regarding this model I am concerned what the dealership may respond with this fine day. We purchased in December 2016 and have 20,000 miles on the odometer. I would not recommend this vehicle due to these unknown circumstances and note all we have had done to the vehicle are oil changes at the dealership. Wish us luck!

Traded in my Juke
Well, I was on the lookout for a used Rouge and stopped at the Ford dealer. Instead of the used Rouge he drove up in a Ruby Red 2016 Escape 4wd with Stone interior and the Chrome package. Let's just say I left the Ford dealer with the Escape. As much as I paid for the Juke I can tell you the Ford is much better quality. I do not get the impression that anything about the Escape is cheaply built in any way. It has been a while since I owned a Ford and I hope this one holds up to my expectations.

LOVE my car!
I absolutely love this car. It's my 2nd car, first new vehicle and it is reliable & fun to drive. I wish the the cargo area was slightly bigger... I feel safe in this car. Great on gas too!

Mechanical problems
This my second Escape! The first one was 2013 and some belt kept breaking and killed the motor. My 2016 had been another problem. In March, they had to replace a part because it didn’t have any power and then would take off fast. With less than a thousand miles on it the turbo died. I will probably won’t get another one!
