Used 2015 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Ford Manufacturing has gone down!
Ford Manyfacturing has gone down and it shows in the 2015 Ford Escape. For the second time in a month and a half, my car is in the shop, dead. It won't start, it won't do anything. It's a brick. And no doubt the dealership will find the issue/problem but it won't find the cause of the issue/problem. So I will be back there again. Getting to use a rental. Which means I get to drive something others an a ford if I so choose. I bought my car from a horrible dealer in HANFORD California - Keller Williams Ford. They took advantage of our need for a car and screwed us out of a truck. Eric Huff was our salesman. The WORST car dealership in the world! My Escape isn't just a car, it's where I drove my family across the country while my husband was deployed. It's where my oldest and I tease about who has control of the radio. It's what I drive to go pick up my kids after school. What we drive to visit my family.. And my husbands. It's more than a car. My kids eat, sleep and play in it. My puppy snuggles between them comfortably. It a second home to us. And it's unsafe. It's not dependable and it's not what I thought Ford produced. But from the day I drove it off the lot? I've had problems. Things breaking off. Pieces and handles and locks breaking. Trunk got stuck a few times. Once in the pooring rain. It all adds up. And now I'm without a car. You need to make sure this doesn't happen to others! I hear the 2016 Escapes are having the same issues. You pop the cars out and let kids put them together like Legos. And now? The consumer is the one that suffers from your pathetic manufacturing and engineering. So do I suggest or recommend the Ford Escape? NO. Just NO. It's not safe. I actually don't trust any Ford car.. But do NOT get he Escape. Be smart. Smarter than Ford and got for a reliable, safe car. The Escape is not it.

Run while you can
We have had ongoing issues with ours since probably the 2nd year. We aren’t even to 70,000 miles yet and we need to ditch this thing before it costs us anymore money. I loved the look of it and I loved driving it. The car just didn’t cut it.

This SUV is fun to drive!
We bought this used with 23k on odometer 2 yrs ago and we have 79000 on it now and it has been a wonderful car no repairs have been needed and it has been a joy to drive, great power and good MPG average 23.5 combined and will see 28 MPG even when cruising at 80! Handling is great and works very well in snow here in Montana. I would recommend to all. Ours is an SE with 2.0l Ecoboost. 12/6/19 107000 on car now and no repairs needed, still on original brakes front and rear. Great car! 6/9/20 116500 on car and running great no repairs have been needed other then normal maintenance. 12/10/20 130025 on car now and no repairs needed, still on original brakes front and rear. Great car! Latest trip even gave 29 mpg. 12/12/22 175400 STILL DOING GREAT! 187360 miles STILL DOING GREAT!

Do not buy - 22 mph highway
I own a 2007 Ford Escape with 120,000 miles. It gets 26 mpg highway. My 2015 Titanium has never done better than 22 mpg highway. The air vents are vertical and impossible to direct air to front seat passengers. The front windshield has a humming vibration when driving into the wind. Dealership says it doesn't so I videotaped it. They still can't find/fix it.

2015 and 2016 escapes are prone to head problems
From what I have seen and my own 2015 with a 1.6L engine, all 3 of their engine choices prematurely give way and leak coolant into the motor. My own has 80K on it but have heard of them going as low as 36K and still under warranty. My advice, steer clear of them. Right now, I am looking at anywhere from $6000-$10000 for a 5 year old vehicle by the time the repair is made. was told that glycol going through the turbo will destroy that also and will need replacing also.
