Used 2015 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Quirky infotainment but otherwise been great!
Have owned this for a couple of years having bought it as a Certified Used vehicle. Glad someone else took the first value hit as it has every option available—some I would usually never consider like panoramic moon roof and railings. (I have found that I use both all the time...) The console looks like they needed to disguise the space where the radio used to be, so they put the individual seat heater controls where it was...strange! I know they improved the front area greatly in 2016 and added more space for trinket storage. Ours has 2.0 Turbo with tow package which was a selling point to me as we like to drag boat to nearby lakes. It is a great choice as the motor and set-up works great, even in hilly country! Mileage really varies with wind direction and altitude. We recently got 32 mpg on a 500 mile trip down to near sea level, but paid for it with low 20’s on return. AWD is very practical in our area and the Escape doesn’t disappoint. This is our third Escape and we have been very happy with our choices. We typically trade vehicles at 100K but have no reason to think that is anywhere near the useful life. Our kids have one with 200K and is still going very strong.

Wish I had bought something else
Cargo area behind rear seats is not flat. Sales people kept telling me is flat; well it is not. I put a level on it and it drops 2" between rear of back seat and cargo door. Second 1.6 L engine has no pick up and averages under 22 MPG. Third for some idiotic reason they made both the trip odometer and the regular odometer devoid of decimal (tenths). If I want go back and check the distance I have walked, no can do. If I am told to go 1.5 miles, no can do. If I want to check difference between detour route and regular can be more than a mile off because can't see tenths. The cargo slope and the odometer would have been enough not to buy. Note: have checked manual no mention of odometer tenths. The designers just eliminated tenths.

LOVE IT!
I made the mistake of buying a 2015 Forester and owned for less than 30 days. Traded in on the Escape and have been VERY happy! The ride, comfort, technology and safety features on the Escape FAR surpass the Forester and all others in this class.
I LOVE my Escape
I love everything about my Escape! I have FWD which is terrible in Chicago snow but that's my lesson learned. My Escape could only be better if I had the Panorama sunroof, which my goal is to get my EXACT same trim WITH the sunroof, when the time comes.
