2.0 EcoBoost AWD is GREAT

Right off the bat I got 21.3 MPG in stop and go city traffic, 27 MPG limited Highway. I've had NO problems with Sync or My Ford Touch. My iPhone paired immediately and hasn't needed to be re-paired. My Ford Touch is totally different then operating Radio and Climate with Dials, Levers, or Buttons. Everything is on the touch screen is clearly marked. Spend 2 minutes to become familiar with NEW technology and you won't have a problem. Voice command works well, not quite like the Enterprise computer, and you might have to close the windows. Acceleration in the 2.0 is fantastic, Sport mode transmission gives quicker shifts and a more performance oriented driving experience.

My wife and I looked at many vehicles including the Explorer Sport, all new Forester, Audi Q5 etc... Price range was high 30's to low 40's. The Audi Q5 was our second choice and Forester was third because of the transmission. We eneded up selling our 2008 loaded Ford Focus having 72K for 9000. So far less 1000 miles averaging 22.3mpg. We made the decision for the loaded up Escape because of the style and technology plus needing gas mpg. No issue so far and we both love it!

SIX RECALL NOTICES IN 3 YEARS!!!!

I have a 3 year lease on this 2013 FORD Escape (currently less than 40k miles). I have received 6 recall notices in less than 3 years! 6!!! After 2.5 years the engine just failed. Just shut down. Had to bring it in for service, which lasted 1 week. On the day I got my car back from FORD service I received ANOTHER recall notice!!!! Now with 5 weeks left on my lease the brakes just went. They're probably going to charge me $$$ for new brake pads when I have to turn his POS in in 5 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE!!! The next poor sucker is going to get an absolute lemon with new brake pads! Courtesy of me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET ANOTHER FORD.

We have owned our Escape for 1 year and 13,000 miles, and it has been very disappointing. We bought the car because it was great looking with great "advertised" gas mileage... and have been disappointed ever since! The gas Mileage is not even close to advertised, more like 18-20 city, 24-26 hwy (on 2400 mile trip with cruise control) and 21=22 avg. The interior design is at first comfortable, until you realize that other than a coffee mug there is no place to put any thing except the very narrow and deep center console storage (once down there forget about finding it again) also all the electronic plug ins are in there under the arm rest very inconvenient
