My 2011 now had 1800 mi. From the time I took delivery until now it has a vibration when idling in drive waiting for a traffic light. I've had many 4 cyl cars and never had this problem. I don't know if its a wrong idle speed or maybe a transmission problem. I'll be seeing the dealer soon. I pointed this out to the dealer when I took delivery and he said give it awhile. If he can solvethis problem then I'll be happy.

XLT Limited 6-cyl I picked up this car with 69K miles and it was a gem then and still is now. It is perfect. I now have 101K miles on it and have driven it to Idaho and throughout Texas. It is excellent. My gas in town is about 20-22 and on the highway 27. It has navigation, leather seats, heated seats, back up camera, everything I could want. I bought a 2013 when they first came out and I was awfully disappointed with it. That's when I went searching for the "box" again. Again, can't say it enough, I love it!

I bought the wrong SUV!

I got the V6 Limited FWD model (2 weeks old). The power is bad (quickness) especially the 1st and 2nd gear that you really have to step on the gas just to feel the power. I think it's just a bad gearing ratio on the 1st - 2nd gear. I think my '06 Nissan Altima 2.5 (4 speed AT) has a better power (quickness) and better gearing ratios. I'd really love to trade this SUV to a GMC Terrain.

I love my Escape. I have never been so attached to a vehicle. That said, I have to get rid of it. I am currently replacing my engine for the second time. I get a misfire in a cylinder, and sure enough it trashed the engine. In talking with the tech, he believes it is due to my commute. I travel 120 miles each day to work, going over 3 passes. He figures the 4 cylinder engine, which is the same as in the Ford Fusion, just couldn't handle it. Even with all that, I still love this SUV. I always joked when I had to take the battery cable off to reset the SYNC system that since it was Microsoft I needed to reboot
