Overall excellent
The 3.5 V-6 has plenty of power. It handles well and is fun to drive
Love my man wagon
I have three kids and tow a little, I can't beat it . I average 17mpg city 22 hwy. I have a few aftermarket add on and will be doing more next year.
love it
My husband and I had a Ford Truck previously. Last Sunday we went looking around for a family yet luxury feeling car,and we found that the dodge magnum was so appealing. It has plenty of room for the 6ft and up husband and plenty of room for our children. The hatchback is great with a lot of room for groceries, etc. I wasn't sure about the dodge magnum at first, but after the 1st week of driving it I love it!!
Business traveler loves the grave digger
I travel 50,000 miles a year. I have driven many different kinds of cars and find that the looks are great, ride is fun, everyone gives you the look and the kids want to race with you. 2.7l is small but accelerates well in traffic. I carry samples and displays and can fit just enough. Even my kids think that the car is cool. Sometimes nice to be the cool dad!
Great car
I have owned this vehicle for about 6 months and I love it. Thank you Chrysler, you hit another homer. This is the fourth chrysler product in a row and I am not dissapointed yet.
Awesome!
This is the most awesome vehicle I've ever owned. The power and smooth ride are better than I anticipated. If you own this car, you will find a lot more people looking at it and asking questions.
Magnum review
the styling of this vehicle is outstanding, and draws conversation everywhere it goes. The performance of the engine, and the braking, are superb. Build quality of the interior appears to be very good. It is too new to address the gas mileage.
Dodge Magnum RT
I recently purchased my RT and I love it. The Hemi gives me power when I need it. It has the comfort and style of a much more expensive vehicle. So far the gas mileage is right on track. I'm sure it will get even better as I put more miles on it. You can actually hear the radio/CD's without having the volumn turned blasting. You hardly notice the outside noise with the windows up. I'm a very satisfied customer.
Magnum
I love this vehicle. It's fast and sporty. Everywhere I go people stare and ask how I like it because they were thinking about getting one
Hemi Magnum
Just bought the Hemi RT, this vehicle is comfortable, handles well, awesome power and great looking. Got the Bright Silver Clearcoat w/ sunroof and roof rack ne other option, comes well equipped. Friend owns a Chrysler dealership and said going for other options is a waste no trade in value. Highly recommend. Do not know mileage yet, have only driven for one week.
This car rocks!
I previously owned a 2001 Chrysler Sebring, but was looking for more room. The Magnum was an outstanding melding of cargo capacity, fuel efficency, and the all important, fun factor. I have had not problems with this vehicle and have put over 27000 miles on it. It is great on the highway.
My Mommy Mobile!!!
We bought our car in mid-June and have over 4,000 miles already. I spend a lot of time driving the kid to practice, friends, etc...and I must say I actually look forward to it just so I can drive my RT. We're already talking about selling ours (I have people getting in line for it)to get the SRT 8. Wish I would've known sooner, but wouldn't have been able to wait anyway. After about 2 months and 2 roadtrips, I absolutely love this car. My Chrysler/Dodge dealership in Bristow, Oklahoma has taken fabulous care of us and our vehicles. I will continue to buy Chrysler/Dodoge products for their innovative and stylish designs and also for the reliability an
From An SHO to SXT
After two years of trying to decide between an SXT v. an RT we finally made the move. Our SHO was slowly dying and we had to make this decision. After getting a speeding ticket we decided that the RT could become a problem for us. So the SXT won us over. Proformance is equal if not superior to that of the 1993 Taraus SHO. We have had the the SXT for less then a week now and have enjoyed the ride. Take off is there if we want to waste the gas. The seat's fit like gloves and the heated seat's are wonderful if you have a bad back. I can see why this station wagon is in such demand. A bit higher priced then other's but you get what you pay for. Let's see if this will bring us many years of joy
Nice car
I'd done months of research on cars, and the Magnum was the first one I wanted to look at, but I couldn't find one under $20K. We found ours (black with dark tinted windows - beautiful car) for around $16K with 22K miles on it. It's a great car, coming from a 1999 Grand Am with one kid and one on the way. the 2.7L isn't torque happy, but we didn't need a racer, just a daily driver with room for 5 that got good mpg. We've had a couple of problems (brakes and visor clip so far), but it was used, so I wasn't expecting "new-car" functionality. Thank God for warranties, right? If someone asked me what car to get for a family of 4, this would be it. Thanks Dodge!
Glad I bought it
Bought my Magnum RT in September and have over 6k miles on it as of late November have adveraged just over 19mpg with a low of 16mpg (first tank) and a high of 23mpg. Excellent ride and handling, no problems so far.....The only change I've made so far has been the addition of a flowmaster exhaust system.
Family car
It is a nice car to have for a family. Very roomy! Do not like sunroof open unless I had a wind guard. Has a lot of power with Hemi! Love the navagation system. Came in handy when traveling. Gas milege is not very good! 18 miles to the gallon! The head rest is not very comfortable, kind of bulgy. But drives very smoothly!
Magnum SXT RWD
Excellent car. Would recommend. Good power with 3.5L. Fuel economy below advertised, but still pretty new. Very quiet ride.
European Accents & Ride
This vehicle has been the best I've ever owned. I wanted a mercedes, but decided not to spend an unrediculous amount on a vehicle. I chose the Dodge Magnum SXT, because of its sleek styling and european accents. The safety features are the best I've ever seen. I feel like I have total control
A New Standard
This is a car that will set a new standard for American cars. The performance is mind blowing in a "family car." It's got looks that won't quit & all the comfort, bells & whistles that anyone could ask for. It is the perfect combination of German engineering, fit & finish, and good old American MUSCLE. It's a car that I will enjoy driving for many years to come.
cooool car
cool car fun to drive and be seen driving and still as practical as a small suv!!
Reliability Issues
Although I've had many inquiries form people about asking about this vehicle, I hav not been able to recommend it due to reliability issues. This car has been in the shop for numerous, I would characterize as nuisance problems. The AM portion of the radio has gone out on the car twice. The left rear window has gone out twice. The rear hatch has stopped working. The transmission jerks. Even though this car is a great looker, and is very useful, I don't think I will own it very long.
After 1 year of hard driving
Drives smooth, handles great. After 1 year of in town driving, I'm a realtor, I have never had a concern or issue with any mechanical or electrical issue.
I love my Magnum!
What a great car! I've never owned a car that accelerates AND turns heads this quickly. Hemi engine is a must. Interior is comfortable. Heated leather seats great for Chicago winters. $1800 is worth it for the navigational system and 6 disc CD player-makes it fun to drive. Too new to know about reliability. Only complaint is that angle of rear window makes it get dirty easily. Just keep it clean.
SUV Replacement
My wife and I were looking for a vehicle to replace our 16 year old 4Runner. We wanted some thing that would give us the same utility for carrying cargo but we did not want the same typical looking SUV we were looking for some thing that would stand out on the road plus have good perrmance and handlig. We have had our Magnum for 3 months now and have several comments and looks from other people on the road.
NICE!!!!!
This is a very nice car you will like it very much!!!!
kind 05 RT
the lines and the color - midnite pearl blue.
Statisfied Magnum Owner
Purchased Mag R/T used, second owner, with approx 19,000 miles. It runs great, currently has 24,000. So far no problems except for engine light. No steering, handling problems. No weird sounds. Very satisfied. Mileage could be better, but what do you expect, it's a Hemi. Great pickup on interstates.
2005 Dodge Magnum RT
The styling of the new Dodge Magnum caught my attention as soon as I got near it, and caused me to want to look and look some more. The long, low stance, the tall wheel/tire combination, the short window 'chopped top' look, made me think this was a custom vehicle. Drove one (the hemi) at the dealership and was sold on it. Nice looking inside, but not 'frilly'. Looks strictly business. Gets more serious when you apply those 340 horses under the hood to the pavement. This thing gets the driver's attention! Surprising headroom too! I'm 6-6, and no problems!
chop top thriller
What a blast to drive! This ride purrs at 90, and yearns to jump over 110, without any stress. A great highway cruising vehicle--and makes for a fun ride to the coast. My two 9-foot longboards fit with ease. Exterior styling is aggressive and bold- -projects its "wanna rumble" attitude with confidence. I get many Mustangs and Vettes that want to play on the highway- one light tap on the accelerator and they're wiping the sand from their eyes...
Fun
Fun to drive. Rides like a dodge and made like a dodge. Not bad for the money but I'd rather pay more and get more quality.
Less Soccer Mom, More Who's Your Daddy
We took our Magnum Wagon on a road trip from L.A. to Lake Tahoe and the ride was so smooth I forgot how long we'd been driving until we stopped for lunch. Make sure you don't mind people staring and asking questions.
My first Dodge
I love this car! It looks great, handles even better and will FLY. Plus the Boston Acoustic sound system rocks.
Tight car, no complaints
I love the Magnums. Love the Hemi. The power is amazing. It's smooth like an old Caddy. I have 2 kids and am very glad I went with this over a Charger, a lot roomier.
Dodge Magnum
The most comfortable car to drive on a trip. Has plenty of get up and go for a 6 cylinder. I love my Magnum.
ONE HOT WAGON
I WAITED A LONG TIME TO REPLACE MY 88 WAGON. AM I GLAD I DID. I OWN MINE SXT FOR A MONTH NOW AND I AM LOVING IT. THE 3.5 HAS ALL THE POWER I NEED AND IT HANDELS LIKE A SPORT CAR.
a true owner
This is a great looking car. Awesome performance.
I love my Dodge Magnum!!
Exceptional automobile. Beautiful. Comfortable. Great performance. I am not too enthused about the gas mileage, but that may be because I can't keep my foot out of it. All in all, I love it.
Nothing But Fun
Just received my red wagon after waiting over 5 months for my order. It was well worth the wait! I love the interior design as I am 5'2". Having trouble keeping off the pedal, loving that V8! Great drive on the highway.
MAG--05
This car is a beauty and fun to drive. I have the V-6 and I have no problem with acceleration when someone is too close. I have had more women ask me about my car than men. I tell them it is just great!
HAS IT GOT A HEMI
FUN TO DRIVE. GETS A LOT OF LOOKS AND COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE ON THE STREET. EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW IF IT'S GOT A HEMI.
Styling and perfomance is back .. Magnum
Magnum is a head turner. I've been asked at stop lights and parking lots, What are you driving. When I tell them it's a Dodge they are surprised. They are expecting a foreign car badge name.Due to the 50's look this car is begging to have performance items and dressup pkgs available before the year is out. The 3.5 Liter engine performance is ample, but it ain't a hemi !! This car will have a strong appeal for drivers of all ages. With 1300 miles on the odometer the gas milage is around 22MPG city and hwy Enough, I'm taking my wife to Big Boy for more adulations.
Wonderful car!!
Just got my Magnum a couple of weeks ago. I bought the car that the dealer ordered because the one I had ordered wasnt near the point of being built. That is one point I would like to make if you are planning on ordering an RT...plan on a good long wait. Mine has been on order for three months and is still not built. It is a beautiful Mineral Gray with gorgeous leather seats. One of the best new cars I have ever purchased. Very solid feel good power and great handling. I felt right at home in this car from the first time I drove it.
too many coolant issues
we have owned this car for about 15 years engine to small for size of car and a ton of cooling issues and front end issues,Car always road like on a cloud super soft car should of only been offered in a hemi package and thats it.

2005 Magnum RT family hot rod wagon!
This is for the Magnum RT. Lots of power, good handling for a large car. Lots of space for cargo with the rear seats folded down. Takes four adults with gear comfortably. About 18mpg average driving. Differential seals need frequent replacing, about every 10K miles. Super large front ventilated Disc's brings this 4400Lb car to a stop quickly. Wonderful engine tone when stomped on. Original fuel tank has issues when fuel tank is full with unleaded fuel. Recall on the tank, free dealer replacement! Comfortable heated leather front bucket seats. Adjustable pedal distance. Older cars will throw ETC codes which require either flashing with newer firmware or a complete new/refurb computer-scary, step on the gas, car stalls. Soft rear springs. Good looking, fun to drive car, but heavy maintenance. Best owned by a mechanic or weekend wrench. Does not overheat in summer with AC on. If you want one that doesn't need much maintenance, get an SXT with the 3.5L V6.

Gas sucker
After 2 years of ownership, I love the comfort and all the features I got in the car, but I hate the poor mileage. I've never been able to do more than 15-16mpg average with that car. In winter, I down to less than 12 mpg. This stinks big time, especially when it's advertised at 19mpg (city). Dealers/Chrysler won't do anything about it. Not their problem. I know for a fact (checked with other owners) that it's a problem with my car, not all the Magnums. I wish Chrysler would just look at it.
Worth the note
PURE JOY, GOBS OF POWER, ROOM FOR WIFE AND KIDS, GETS PLENTY OF LOOKS, GETTING 27 MPG ON STRICT HIGHWAY, LOVE THE FACT THAT IT IS DIFFERENT THAN ANYTHING ELSE ON THE ROAD, THE HEMI IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO ON THIS VEHICLE. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONTHLY NOTE!
Coming from a 4runner
Averaging 19 mpg. Not bad for the fun I've had in it. The power is great. Too much plastic in the build. Grill is plastic, fenders are plastic and the dash is made out of something that sinks under any weight at all. But these are asthetic issues. If it was made like a Lexus, it would be priced like a Lexus and I wouldn't be driving it. Compared to a 99 4runner, it drives like a dream. My wife drives a 98 4runner, and when we switch cars, I feel like I'm trying to run in iron boots. The Magnum flies.
This is the car!
I can honestly say I love this car. I've had mine for just over a week and 700 miles and have no complaints...ok well the gas gauge and my atm card might complain but all in the name of fun. For an all around daily driver with room to spare it doesn't get any better. It has the power and handling of a decent sports car, yet seats 5 comfortably with their luggage. So far I've pushed the car pretty hard and it just keeps taking it. Be prepared for the 2nd set of tires..it will come soon!
FAST AS FAST CAN BE
This is one of the sweetest vehicles I've driven. Plenty of room and feels like you were shot out of a gun when you walk on it at any speed. Has a nice exhaust note without being intrusive, handles great with a firm but comfortable ride. I guess the styling is love it or leave it as there is nothing out there quite like it. I personaly love it and find I have more compliments and questions from others than I have ever had before, and I've had a lot of new vehicles. The gas mileage is respectable about 19 MPG with a 50/50 mix of hiway and city driving, going up to 28 MPG on a hiway trip. Winter driving is OK but on glare ice it could use a set of ice radials, which I can't find in this size.
